Nice mouse........2007-09-14

This is truely a great plug and play device. No drivers needed but you can install some if you like. You just open it, put in the batteries (2 AA) and plug in the usb dongle and switch the mouse on (on/off switch on the bottom). Works great. I bought 3 more for my other desktops after trying one.

ergonomic mouse for small hands.......2007-02-14

I bought the blue-colored one back in 2004 as a spare mouse, but have had to use it intensively only last year. Sadly, the left button has given out and is not working anymore. That may have more to do with my abuse of it than the product's durability under normal use. (I used it 10 hours a day and frequently clicked hard on it when I'm furious at the screen.)

I would still recommend it highly and in fact I'm thinking of getting a new one in maybe this silver color.

Battery are expensive.......2007-01-26

Moouse worked fine till like 8th month when computer could not recognize this mouse..Then call Logitech and they sent me a brand new upgraded version of this mouse. I love that and their customer service. But this mouse eats up lot of AA batteries

I got the mouse for my husband for Christmas. He has a notebook computer and was tired of the mouse cord and the power cord getting tangled when getting the computer out and putting it away. He is extremely happy to have only the power cord to deal with.

The Logitech V270 mouse I bought replaced an Apple Mighty Mouse which failed to operate after a 2 foot fall onto carpet from my recliner's arm rest. The V270 communicated immediately with my MacBook. When this mouse is turned on, it and the MacBook "connect" sooner than the Mighty Mouse did. The right mouse button works far better than the Mighty Mouse's right button. So far, the V270 has been flawless!

Problem maintaining bluetooth connection.......2007-09-14

Intermittent disconnects with a new, bluetooth enabled Dell laptop. Other bluetooth devices work fine with the Dell, so I'm assuming the issue is with the mouse. Also, it requires a logitech driver, the laptop couldn't connect at all without the driver. Too bad, I was really hoping this would work as intended - the idea is nice.

I've had this mouse for about a month now, it looks great in the setup I've got at home along side an Apple Pro Wireless keyyboard, the metal coloration matches my macbook pro perfectly and has simply been a great purchase.

Pros:
Unlike the Mighty Mouse (which I sold to buy this) the V270 doesn't feel wireless. Lag is minimal or nonexistant.

Battery control is great, you can run the mouse with one AA, but it just feels a bit light then. Battery lasts about 3 weeks for me, I just got some rechargable AA's.

Nothing feels better after the mighty mouse than 2 FREAKING BUTTONS! no more leaning on the damn thing or using the laptop trackpad to right click!

Cons:

I really miss the side squeeze buttons the MM had, it made expos'e a seamless process, I find myself squeezing the mouse without thinking.

It doesn't work on a glass surface, I had to buy a mousepad for the first time to work on my custom glass desk. The MM did this just fine.

Pretty much, if you told me "we'll give you a complete refund and a free MM if you're willing to part with the V270" I would say no, it's so hard to find good bluetooth (not just WIRELESS) mice.

I was looking for a Bluetooth Mouse for my Macbook Pro and I came across this mouse and read the positive reviews and figured I'd give it a try. I love it...it took less than 2 minutes to link to the Macbook and works flawlessly...even the Scroll and right click work with the Mac...a bonus I wasn't expecting. It also has a soft travel case and comes with Duracell batteries so it's ready to go right out of the box. Definitely recommended if you have a Macbook Pro

Very poor, at least for Mac.......2007-03-22

I've owned Logitech mice and keyboards for years, always liked them. This one is almost unusable, because it keeps losing its Bluetooth connection (Intel iMac, OS 10.4.9) -- at crucial moments, it always seems. It happens about four to twelve times in half an hour (the longest I can stand to try it).

Also, the available customization is very limited. OSX allows you to switch primary buttons and program the buttons for various OSX gadgets. But there's no Logitech Control Center (as they offer for other mice) to let you make one of the main buttons a double-click, the scroll-wheel button a control-click, and so on.

A software fix *might* help (some software might help!). No word from Logitech.

Unreliable, poorly engineered.......2007-04-11

Works great when it works, but periodically it looses connection with the laptop transciever. I have to go in and do a software disconnect and then reconnect from the laptop to resume communication with the mouse. Using the reset button on the mouse or turning it on and off does nothing. And sometimes I can not reestablish a connection at all even with complete power down of mouse, laptop and a re-power up and reboot.

This happens at a frequency of almost daily. I have a friend that said he has the identical Logitech mouse and it does the same thing. I do't understand why Logitech would release such a flawed device into the market.

This probably deserves 1 star, but as I said it works great when it works.

It's a good notebook mouse, nothing extraordinary.......2006-12-10

My wife bought this for me as a gift on Black Friday. Since that short time, I've come to realize that a wireless mouse is really nice. I've been resisting spending the dough even though my wife's laptop has an older model logitech which I did enjoy using. The mouse functions perfectly EXCEPT for the claimed method for fixint (storing) the USB dongle to the mouse by a friction fit peg/hole combination. That doesn't work for beans. The dongle snaps off the mouse at the slightest bump. Otherwise, worth the twenty bux.
