It works like a charm on both PCs and MACs. The all-terrain optical sensor truly does work practically everywhere, which is a great plus. The mouse is just the right size (not too big, not too small) and fits quite comfortably in my big hand.

However, a few design flaws made me want to return this. For one, the cable wrap-around system is great in theory but poorly executed. The cord is short and barely wraps around. It will also start showing heavy signs of stress where it bends after only a couple of days, so I imagine it would break off pretty soon. Also, the USB connector snap-on button is extremely fragile and easy to deform by the slightest pressure, making it nearly impossible to snap it back into place.

But my biggest gripe has to be NOISE. The clicks are okay, not silent by any means but not loud either... but if you rub your fingertips backwards on the buttons (a common gesture when pulling the mouse back) then an annoying and quite loud scratching/creeking sound is produced. I was asked twice, while in meetings, to please put it away. It might be that the buttons on my unit were loose or somewhat defective, but I do tend to believe this is a problem with the type of plastic. It's disappointing, given the ultra-high standards Logitech got me used to.

So overall this would be a winner if it wasn't for a few poor choices in design and materials. If the above problems somehow don't affect you, buy on. Otherwise, think twice.

Another mouse tries to be special.......2007-09-13

This is smaller than the desptop mouse and feels a bit flimsy. It does the job which is why I gave it four stars, but the feel just isn't right. The cord as others have commented is about a foot short and thinner, too. The reason for the light weight cord is so it can be wrapped around the mouse body and the USB end attaches onto the bottom of the mouse with a plastic button snap. This is all very useless and unnecessary. The mouse is a replacement for a Kennsington Pocket mouse and I have yet to see how long it will last. My old mouse lasted ten years.

The mouse is small enought to be easily stored in my laptop carrying case, but large enough to be easy to use. The cord is self storing, minimizing the mass of cables in my bag.

The best part about this mouse is how the cord wraps around itself for storage. Loose cords are such a pain - and this takes care of that problem. Otherwise, the mouse functions perfectly just like you would expect from Logitech. One note though, the mouse was a little bigger than I thought it would be for a 'travel mouse' (which is how I imagined it). It's still smaller than my regular mouse... but certainly not miniature like other mice I've purchased before.

Yes. It the wrapping cable works great.
Yes. The scroll wheel and button are easy to use.

The cable right at the base of the usb connector has some sort of short in it. The mouse goes in and out if this area is agitated by movement. Now, with that said, wrapping the mouse up will probably make things worse which shouldn't be since wrapping and unwrapping the mouse should be the most flawless operation. However, Logitech seems to have made the mouse cable too weak to seriously be used over and over again. If you never plan to wrap and unwrap the mouse over and over like a regular on the go notebook user then this is a fine mouse, albeit with a short cable. If you plan on going around the world with it, no. Logitech has better and wireless notebook mice.

Everyhing is good except the cable but that makes it too bad. It's really too short especially if you use your right-hand and the usb ports are on the left of the laptop or vice versa.

I really cannot recommend it to anybody who uses different sides (like left side usb ports and right-handed!).

This is a good sized mouse and perfect for packing up with my laptop. The only drawback is the cord as depending on what you are using it with, it can be a bit short.

The mouse was great until it stop working last week. The cable just get internally broken, and now is useless. I'm now change to a wireless mouse.

This is the perfect mouse for a notebook computer on the go, or even at home. First it's not wireless, so you never have to worry about batteries dying. Second the cord has a place to wrap around the mouse (where you can't see it), and the usb part pops into the bottom, making sure the cord is never a hassel during traveling. I can't believe there are not more mouses with this feature. Third it's not ultra small, but just right for travel and hand comfort.

The only thing that keep me from giving it five stars is two things. First no back button, or in other words a third button. The back button saves so much times while browsing the web, i can't believe they don't have it on here. Third, when I bought it, I thought it automatically retracked, like a measuring tape, I was a little disappointed, but i'm sure they'll make something like that in the future.

But right now I think it's the best you can get.

I'm using this with a Macintosh iBook. It works with the Mac operating system, no need to install additional software, which is nice. The mouse is responsive, and the small size is convenient with a laptop. For the price, it's an excellent product that does what it sets out to do very well: no frills, but I didn't want any.

Compare a scooter to a motorcycle. The scooter is a fraction of the size, power, and price, but around town, the scooter is as quick and fun as the motorcycle, and you can even take it some places the motorcycle won't go. The Fuji 1300 is the digital camera equivalent of a scooter--inexpensive and lower tech than some digital cameras, but really quick, easy, and fun to operate. And for the average camera user it will produce pictures very nearly as good as those from a substantially more expensive camera.

The 1300 is a revised version of Fuji's well-loved but short-lived MX-1200 camera. For the 1300, Fuji redesigned the case to make it (slightly) more stylish and replaced the serial transfer plug with a much faster USB connection. Otherwise, the camera remains essentially the same as its predecessor.

Compared to virtually every digital camera on the market (and especially its 1-megapixel peers), this camera is a speed demon. If you don't need to use the flash, you can turn the camera on and take your first shot in under a second. There's virtually no shutter lag (the shutter clicks a split second after you press the button), and the camera is ready to take another shot in less than 5 seconds. Though some cameras' LCD screens are slow, streaky, or choppy, the Fuji has a fast, smooth display.

Technophobes have little to fear: this Fuji is as easy to operate as a point-and-shoot film camera, automatically setting shutter speed and white balance and activating the flash, if necessary. Users looking for more creative control can adjust the exposure compensation, white balance, flash, and other settings manually. The camera also has a macro mode and a self-timer.

i read someones review saying that this cammera drainded batteries, not at all i survived 2 weeks with 1 set of batteries, mabey the person never turned the cammera off, when in natural light you cant tell weather the cammera is on or off unless you have the display on beacuse the green on light fades and is hard to see.

This is NOT a very good camera for the price. If you leave the batteries in the camera, they are drained in a day. I finally figured out that the best way to go about it was to keep a separate bag with the batteries in it and put them in the camera before I use it. This is very annoying because then it wants you to re-set the time when you start it back up again. Not good for close-ups or low light. (I tried to use it to photograph my jewelry but got poor results.) Also, it does not have a zooming lens. For everyday shots of my family and friends outdoors or indoor with a flash, this is an OK camera. Still, I have found that you can get a much better product at a comparable price in the 35mm format, which you can now get "developed" and put on disc at most major film development outlets. And for only $50 - $100 more you can get a good quality digital Canon, Nikon, or Olympus that zooms and they might not have the battery problems.

this is such a great camera, I got it for my birthday and it has worked perfectly. it takes wonderful pictures, and can take a few fallls,the one bad thing is it cant zoom, it only can switch modes (close up and distance shots) but it works great and is realy easy to use. Its just a great camera.

This is an excellent beginner digital camera - I used it for one year and loved it to death. It is simple to use - gives great clear results, and doesn't blow the bank. I am only selling mine now because I've upgraded to the fuji f601Z!
