Well it is a really nice bluetooth headset. Nice quality sound when I use it for my pc. I just couldn't make it work with my phone for songs without connecting the analog adapter. Which meant I had to carry it with me... so I had to return it. I think my phone is not compatible with stereo bluetooth or something like that. If you are buying this for your phone, please check for compatibility before making the purchase:) Good luck!

Don't even think of using these for VOIP.......2007-09-09

I bought these thinking I could use them for both Skype and my cell. Connects and works fine for cell use (although the annoying blue light flash needs to go). But this headset does NOT work for Skype and Plantronics is clear (AFTER you buy the headset, nowhere is this mentioned on the package or product listing) that Skype/VOIP is NOT supported. I'm a pretty techie guy (build my own PCs., water and phase-change cool them) and I tried everything, several BT stacks and 3 different USB and internal dongles. A one-hundred and fifty dollar stereo bluetooth headset will not work for VOIP? The cheapest mono headsets will work, but not this? Absolutely unacceptable for a higher-end headset and the shifty Plantronics people should make this clear on the packaging. I hope Amazon will change the product details to reflect this.

Solid Blue Tooth stereo performer.......2007-09-07

With the exception of the (annoying) flashing blue light on the outside of the right ear piece, this bluetooth headset outperforms others I have tried. As with most bluetooth devices, it is subject to momentary signal loss of (3 sec) durations. The sound quality is good when compared with my hard wired Bose QC3 set (w/o noise compensation consideration). Channel separation and the ability to adjust my iphone sound levels externally were a pleasant surprise (music selection advance/replay feature did not work with my iphone). The Amazon price compared to others made this quite satisfactory decision a "know" brainer!!

Excellent bluetooth headphone.......2007-07-11

Have it paired with my macbook pro and iphone and works seemlessly between both. Pairing directly to the macbook doesnt appear to work too well. Use the analog adaptor it works really well.

One warning about this headset. When connected there is a blue led on the earphone that flashes periodically. This is probably not a problem for many people but when used in a dark place it is distracting.

What does "ambient" mean?.......2005-10-29

This must be a WinModem type of modem. I bought it to use with Phone Tray Free, which requires a modem with Caller ID and Voice capabilities. Neither worked with Phone Tray Free. Maybe the Jaton modem didn't recognize my Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2. I went back to my US Robotics 56K V.90 Faxmodem, Model 5687 bought back in 1998, which doesn't have Voice but does recognize Caller ID in this particular software. I'm still trying to find a non-ambient Caller ID/Voice PCI modem.

This camera has produced superb quality photograpy. As a REALTOR, I use this camera often. If it wasn't for the size and normal wear and tear I have put the camera through, I would never get another camera.

A decade of Escapes.......2005-12-09

This is the first & ONLY digital camera I have ever bought. Yes, I paid over $1000 for it new, but that is what you get for being on the cutting edge of technology. Many of my hi-tech pals are on their 2nd or 3rd digital cameras, but this single gem is lasting me (& my professional use) very very well. It's almost a decade old & it's still going strong. Had it re-vamped with new CCD chip, belt, door & I have dropped it outside a number of times. Once it took a topple from my tripod in a super windy ghost town at night. Although it has been in the shop a number of times (twice under warranty), I still swear by this camera. Great quality of colors, contrast & light balance!! Nikon does very well in low light conditions too. Imagine camp fire shots without a flash. Getting your friends to sit still is another story. If you check out Total Escape, you will see the fine work of this lil camera.

It's as good as everyone has already mentioned, BUT..........2005-09-25

I have found that the Energizer 2500mAH NiMH batteries are worthwhile to buy - they last much longer than any other rechargeable I've ever used, even with extensive flash use.

I've had my camera for over 3 years, and it serves well for everything from internet pics to post & e-mail photos to send, to high resolution 5X7" and even some 8X10" respectable quality prints.

On the other hand, the major failure of this camera lies in a poorly designed and cheaply built battery door. Nikon's chief battery door designer was apparently sick that day, and the janitor obviously submitted the design they used. Eventually, even if you're careful, the chintzy little lightweight plastic slots on the camera body that the battery door tabs lock into, will break, and your otherwise finely made and great performing camera will need a generous strip of ducttape to hold the door closed - this makes the necessity of using the highest capacity NiMH battery you can find all that more important. I'm drawing up plans to fabricate some small metal tabs to embed into the camera body to replace the crappy broken plastic, but haven't yet gotten happy with the Dremel tool to do the work.

Bottom line: Be Careful when you open the battery door - press it down against the camera body before you slide it to the unlocked or open position, and you can delay the inevitable plastic tab failure that will ruin an otherwise outstanding camera.

Great camera.......2003-06-28

I am taking picture 3,901 and have never had a problem, other than trying to remember how to use the endless settings in the m mode. I just downloaded bios update to 1.3 and had no problem. Of course, I carefully followed all the directions. I had been at 1.2.

SYSTEM ERROR.......2003-01-07

Almost a year to the day after the camera was bought, i turn it on and it greets me with SYSTEM ERROR and a LOUD clicking noise coming from the lens side of the camera. lovely. haven't taken it in yet to see how much this is going to cost me.

and this is with me ONLY taking approx 40 pictures.
