Excellent SLR for starters.......2004-06-15

I have owned this camera for the last 3 yrs. Not a single complaint so far. Most of the time I have used the auto settings even though it has a manual option. Excellent focus even in low light conditions and the focus lock is pretty fast. Yet to have a bad shot except for those occasional out of focus pictures which were mostly because of my fault.

Operation is pretty simple and does not have much frills to worry about. Excellent value for the price

This is a wonderful Camera that I have had for 4 years now. I have extremely enjoyed the quality pictures, and fun options that this camera has.

I took several photography courses and this camera was leaps and bounds above what I needed.

I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking into starting up or continuing photography as a hobby.

I am 14 years old and new to the photographic world. After doing months of research on what I wanted to be my first camera I decided on the Pentax ZX-30 Quartz Date. It was probably one of the best choices I have made. As a beginner I was looking for a camera that was simple to operate, but one that would give me quality pictures and versatility for me to be creative. This camera was my answer. My first roll of film was beautiful. My mother has a home daycare so I immediately started taking pictures of the kids. When I got my first roll of film back I was amazed at the quality of the pictures. They were wonderful. This camera gives you a variety of settings yet it is simple enough that you can have fun without having to deal with confusing dials and knobs. This is the choice for a beginner who wants to take photography seriously. Buy and enjoy!!

Best Camera for it's price out there!.......2002-01-29

I had decide that it was time in my life to buy a nicer camera than a point-and-shoot camera. I looked around on the internet and went to local stores that sold good quality cameras. I looked at cameras made by Nikon, Cannon, Minolta, Pentax, and Sigma, because i had heard that they were the top brands.

After several days of looking and comparing options and prices I settled on the pentax camera. I chose it because
1. it was reasonably priced
2. How user friendly it was and
3. Because it had extensive options.
Basically everything I wanted out of a camera.

I suggest to you to do the same thing i did. Just look around everywhere and compare all of the options and special features of the cameras. I also recamend that if you do buy an slr camera you should get a polorizing lens cover or even just a plain lens cover, because it is exremely easy to scratch the lens.

I got this camera for a 2nd autofocus camera. I like it better than my pz-70. By the way Pentax makes the best slrs. I also have 2 Pentax manuel cameras a mx and a mg. I love them too. Its light solid and small for a slr the zx-30 is great!

Poor reliability.......2003-07-01

The speaker was fine while it worked. The circuitry just went out on mine, however, for the second time in just over a year of light use. I had it replaced the first time (at half of the cost of the original unit) and now plan to give up and buy something of higher quality. Quite a disappointment.

Subwoofer.......2001-05-21

In the 8 months I have had this subwoofer, the base has never been a good "thump". It seems there is more amp than there is speaker. In trying to get what I was looking for, the subwoofer went out. Now I am looking for a new speaker. I always had to keep the gain and the frequency turned down to half or less than half in order for the sound not to have a splat to it. I am now looking for something that will hold up better.

Low sonics for less.......2001-01-22

I believe that music as recorded on any source be as accurately reproduced as possible - as it was performed. The problem is that this is not always the case, and so, we are all guilty of "tailoring" the sound to fit our preferences. Recording equipment and the equipment used to reproduce music is not always faultless. The KLH ASW 12 subwoofer is as near to faultless as is possible for $200, and is more than capable of accurately reproducing musical instruments of low sonics. This is my opinion as a musician of many years. I am pleased that I made the decision to add this subwoofer to my system, and I did so economically. However, I found that some experimenting with placing and adjusting the unit is required. My advice is to be cautious not to "add" low frequencies which are not on the source, and which make music muddy and boomy. When properly adjusted, the ASW 12 reproduces low and tight bass sounds in a large room, but don't put it in a corner on the floor. One trick is not to set the gain too high, but only at the point where the sub is silent during moderately loud passages of the music being played. If the sub is trying to reproduce frequencies at a level above its design limits, then clarity in the music will be lost. I have found that the crossover adjustment should be set at a point where the lowest frequencies of the main speakers begin to rolloff, and the sub takes over. This is its purpose after all. In adjusting the gain and crossover controls, less is more; at least in the case of the KLH ASW 12. Remember, this unit has a 200 watt amp on board. The only fault I have with this sub is the overall size which is large. Perhaps this is a design necessity. Also, for a company who should be proud of their product; the owner's manual doesn't reflect pride or much of anything, including detailed instructions which are, concise and ambiguous. Here again, you can't rely on much help from KLH engineers. A good musical ear will tell the listener where to best place the KLH 12, and how to adjust it.

Worked great - no problems.......2007-06-07

My old computer had a motherboard problem and died before I backed-up my most recient files. My hard drive was not compatible with my new computer so I needed to connecte it via USB. This device was the answer. It was easy to install the hard drive into the PHR-100A and when I connected it to the USB port all worked the first time. I was able to recover all of my files and now I have an external hard drive for storage.

I've had it for a week now.
It was very easy to install the Hard Drive.
If you have XP, just plug in the USB and it will automatically read the drive.
So far, so good. I have a 20GB in right now, but will swap that out for an 80GB once I find it somewhere in the house.

Nicely made case, and good design on the inside. Setup was simple, and the drive worked immediately on both Windows XP and Windows Vista Machines. No driver install was needed, simply plug and play on both pcs. USB cable was included in the box too.

I bought this to replace a BYTECC USB enclosure which would not run when I upgraded it with a Seagate 300GB drive. The Mace Group unit worked as advertised and once the 7200.9 seagate was in, immediately worked with no hassles at all. The case itself has sharp edges once the cover is pulled off, so care must be taken not to get cut or to pinch or scratch the insulation off of wires when putting it back together. This unit is a few finished corners from 5/5 rating and unlike many enclosures, it really works with larger disks.

This was a pretty good deal. I don't know much about hard drives or cases, but I know I have a Western Digital 160gb hard drive for a desktop, and wanted to hook it up to my new laptop that I just got monday. I ordered this on sunday night, and it got here thursday morning. Quick turnaround, quick installation, and it works great! The hard drive stays cool as well...this is defintely a good buy.

Thought this was a good deal the twin pack (C8765WN#140) is not what arrives. Contacted by e-mail to much hassle to straighten things out to get other cartridge. The one sent is (HP-C8765WN#94) single cartridge. Don't know if it works as I leave it next to my computor as a reminder not to order again.

So far this ink has worked fabulous. Loads just like the manufacturer's cartridge and has worked fine. I've only had it in for a few print jobs, so I can't attest to it's durability, or how long the cartridge lasts, but it's working great now. The fact that I get two for a discount is pretty sweet too.

A superb organizer in budget range.......2001-08-28

I find the IBM WorkPad c3 smaller and lighter than the Palm III that one of my friend uses. Its contrast-variable backlighting really helps me to see the figures in variable light conditions such as when I am standing directly under a light in my office or walking in the alley which is not that well lit. An added advantage is lesser strain on my eyes because of its sharp screen. I guess the WorkPad c3 is limited to its 2 MB of non-expandable memory as the manufacturer could not design to fit a bigger memory in its slim design. How am I going to upgrade its memory to a larger capacity I do not know but I guess its one of the trade off that one has to bear in relation to the overall relatively low cost of this product. One particular feature that I find very handy is the synchronization ability of WorkPad directly with a my PC through the infrared transmitter this is a valuable feature that comes specially during my busy days letting me bypass its HotSync cradle connection.

The Graffiti pad is similar and maybe same as the other Palm organizers so you donot get any additional benefits when compared to competitive products. I am next eyeing with interest the portable key board advertised on the Amazon website that lets this PDA sits in a top slot and lets you enter your data as if you would do on any PC. This is specially useful for entering my expense report and data. And another tip: the money that I saved in buying this organizer instead of Palm V helped me buy some accessories for it. I was warned by some friends about possibility of getting a model with a faulty battery or a screen but luckily that did not happen and I am enjoying using my WorkPad C3.

Great Item but mine was defective.......2007-09-03

The product was defective right out of the package. I assembled it properly to work in my cassette player in the car. It played, but the cassette part of the adapter would CLICK from side 1 to side 2 with about 10 seconds of music in-between. This is what you would get music (about 10 seconds worth), click, click (cassette adapter part moving from one side to the other), music (about 10 seconds worth), click, click (cassette adapter part moving from one side to the other), and so on. I sent the product back to the maufacture since it had a one year warranty on it. I was bummed about that and still waiting for it to come back.

Awful product.......2007-06-27

Frankly, I am astounded that someone can find this adapter usable. I got it today, put it in and had to immediately cover my ears. This was without a doubt the worst sound quality I've ever experienced. The charger does not even come close to fitting my Rio Carbon. All plugs are round and I needed a square one (USB connector). What a disappointment!

Don't just buy a Sony.......2007-05-09

Regarding the person who recommended the Sony for Ford vehicles. It's just not that easy. I've used the CDA-9 and an older CDA-7 in my Explorer, and after working fine for a few days, the Explorer rejected them both. Cassette adapters are a tricky business for some reason. Cheap or expensive, it really doesn't matter. Compatibility seems to be hit and miss, from vehicle-to-vehicle, not just from brand-to-brand.

Sorry, I can't review this product, just wanted to correct the comment below regarding the Sony product and Ford vehicles. I'll give it a middle-of-the-road rating so I don't mess with the average.

Wow! Exceptional Audio Quality for a Good Price!.......2007-02-02

I purchased this set today and wow wee - I was surprised by the high audio quality coming out of the my car speakers from my Sansa M260 (4GB)! Now believe me when I say this, I'm the type of person who likes to be pampered with quality. When I buy a computer or a printer or digital camera it had better be of high-ranking workmanship and output or I would be very dissatisfied customer (to say the very least). When I first purchased this I was thinking to myself that the sound output would be poor and crackly. Surprised was I to find out that the sound here was all I could ask for: it is crisp and clear without any popping or hissing sounds that have been reported on some other adapters.

A reviewer here before me stated how disappointed he was when this adapter did not work with his certain Ford vehicle. I'm not sure why he experienced those problems but I'm glad he brought them up here. If you plan to use this adapter for that type of vehicle he listed (or any other type that have been reported not to work with this adapter) I guess you should opt for some other brand. For me, however, I am using the adapter in a 1999 Dodge Durango and it performs flawlessly! I AM IN LOVE WITH IT! When it works, you can tell it was made to perform well, despite the little-known manufacturing company (Jensen).

I highly recommend this tape adapter to anyone looking for a good valued adapter to hook up their MP3 to their car system! The included cigarette power plug/cord is a nice plus as well. Just do a little research on google and see what compatibility issues are there with certain models of cars. For me, my experiences with it have been fabulous except for the minor thing of faintly hearing the plastic wheels of the adapter turning while inside your tape deck but you only hear it mostly when the car engine is off. (I wonder if I can oil it a bit to diminish this?)

Buy Sony CDA-9 instead.......2005-08-31

The Jensen adapter is not compatible with Ford trucks or Saturns. It keeps ejecting. Go with the Sony CDA-9 instead. After buying this Jensen, and having it not work, I did a web search and found a "ford truck enthusiasts" list that talked about the same problem I was having, and mentioned other cars having it as well. They recommended the Sony, so I went and got that. It has worked, no problem, and sounds just fine.
