Polaroid's i-zone pocket cameras produce tiny, high-quality Polaroid pictures about the size of a frame of 35mm film (or your average postage stamp). The i-zones use either sticky or nonsticky instant film, so you can put your pictures in a frame or stick them onto your notebook or portable CD/MP3 player. While the cameras all have the same funky oblong plastic design, they are available in a variety of interesting color schemes. The silver edition is a solid grayish silver color, while Phat Blue and Fireball Red are neon-like translucent monotones, and the purple version is two-tone with a grape front and dark bluish back. The camera turns itself off automatically after each shot to conserve battery power.
Each i-zone set comes complete with camera, instant pocket film (six shots), and two AA alkaline batteries--everything you need to start making pictures. We recommend buying extra film right away, especially if the camera is a gift, because those first six shots tend to go pretty fast. Loading the camera is as easy as dropping the film cartridge into the back of the camera and closing it. The trickiest part is remembering to pull the film tab out in one fluid motion, without stopping--exactly like most other Polaroids. When you expose a shot and pull out the film, you get something that looks like a Band-Aid, with an image in the middle and extra paper on both ends. Just clip the end paper off with a pair of scissors and you have your final product. Be careful not to cut into the actual photo, as you don't want to give the caustic paste inside a chance to seep out and get on your fingers.
There are three exposure settings on the i-zone--indoors (with flash), outdoor/sunny, and outdoor/cloudy. Overall, the camera is probably best for subjects within 2 to 8 feet, although we took pictures of downtown buildings that turned out pretty well. The outdoor/sunny setting requires bright sun directly on the subject for a good exposure. Even if it isn't cloudy, try using the outdoor/cloudy setting if the subject is in shadow or if it is early or late in the day when the sunlight isn't at full strength. The flash seems to work best from about 4 to 5 feet away.
The best part is deciding what to do with the mini photos once you've created them. The options are limitless, from decorating your personal stuff to putting them in mini frames to creating tiny photo albums. These cameras are affordable, simple to use, and a lot of fun. --Walt Opie

This camera can be a wonderful tool when capturing all kinds of up close photos. The pictures can make outrageous statements than better said in a normal snap shot. Additionally this camera produces instant gratification - and you can give them away as quick as you take them. The sticky feature is nice, although I prefer the non-stick. These make great additives to notes, wallets, computers, anywhere really - my fridge is loaded with them. If you shop around for the film it ends up being about 50 cents a picture. Basically if you're looking for non-traditional pics to spice up your life, this would be the way to go!
And as others have noted, the flash button is a little loose, so act responsibly and you obviously need to get up close to the person you are photographing (or thing) because they are small images. If you want big images or negatives don't buy this product.

I am a 12 year old that LOVES to take pictures. This camera is great because all I have to do is snap the picuture and pull out the film. Then, if I want to give the picture to my friend, I just cut off the extra paper and give it to them. It is so simple I even let my 4 year old sister take a picture and then let her take out the film.

This camera is light, VERY easy to use, fun, and SO VERY convenient if you don't like waiting for the photo shop to develope your pictures, and great when you like capturing lots of nice moments between friends, family, and pets. It takes awesome pictures inside AND outside. And you can pick your own cool color, and pick your own funky design you want of the paper the picture comes out on. It is SOOOOOOOO easy to use. And the picture developes fast. But......and I hate to use that word, there was one tiny flaw that kind of disappointed me, the fact that the pictures are smaller than what they advertise them to be, they're not super duper tiny, but they are pretty small, so it makes the faces of the people hard to make out if your not RIGHT UP in their face taking the picture. But other than that, the sticky film takes good pic's and is fun to stick everywhere around you. But the film is kinda pricey for only 12 photo's per package, but I personally think its worth it, so I recomend buying one.

I bought this camera for my neice who is a teenager. She couldnt thank me enough for it. She loved the color of the camera as well. You can also use Polaroid Sticky Film, that you can use to decorate just about anything with. It makes this product even more enjoyable. She has gotten alot of use out of this camera. This is a camera for all ages. I highly recommend it.

KLH HT 300BW 300 Watt Surround Speaker System!.......2006-12-26
Bought this set of speakers at an auction site and received them promptly from the seller. For the money, they are a great starter set for anyone getting into surround systems. I set mine up in the bedroom as the rear surrounds and the center with a couple of custom built 4" MTM front speakers. Sounds pretty good for a complete 4" surround speaker system!
On the matter of KLH I think the customer relations is lousy!!! I have tried to contact them several times and have never got a reply. Amazon may not the be the problem but the seller thats listing them on Amazon. Amazon should maybe take a look at some of their sellers a little closer and protect the buyer a little more.

It would appear that Amazon has a policy to bump people off who have pending order if it does not make them a profit. Although the same item is showing available on the website. This is dispite a wait period of over 2 months. Cannot rate the item since it was not delivered by amazon.

I have ordered for this speaker system 2 months ago,received them after one month???(with 2 day shipping). NO cable and user manaul in the box. KLH customer service sucks big time. I recently got an email from Amazon regarding the matter that the speakers that I ordered couldnt get to me for some weird reason. I noticed that the speakers were still been sold on your website but at $13 more than they were originally posted. Was this fare at all to get rid of my order and then increase the price up to $53 from $30 and then come up with an excuse on not to deliver the speakers to me?

Optics and Resolution
The Coolpix 5400 uses a 5.1 effective-megapixel CCD to capture images at a maximum native resolution of 2,592 x 1,944 pixels. This allows for clear printouts up to 20x30 inches in size. The camera incorporates a wide angle Zoom-Nikkor lens with a maximum optical zoom of 4x coupled with a stepless 4x digital zoom for a 16x total zoom. The lens contains nine elements in eight groups, with the Zoom-Nikkor lens using Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass and two aspherical lenses completing the setup. With a focal length range of 5.8 mm to 24mm, the 4x optical zoom is equivalent to a 28-116mm lens on a 35mm camera.
The camera has fifteen preset shooting modes for easily shooting portraits, panoramas, landscapes, and many more. Users can select center-weighted, spot, AF spot, or a special 256-segment matrix metering mode in conjunction with TTL white balance to provide incredible exposure and color balance. Shutter speeds vary from 1/4000 second to ten minutes, making it possible to capture a wide variety of shots, and the Ultra Macro Mode allows for close-ups from a range of .4-inches.
Storage and Transfer
The 5400 stores images on either Type I or Type II CompactFlash cards and is compatible with 512 MB and 1GB MicroDrives. Shots are stored in either uncompressed TIFF-RGB format or compressed JPEG format. The camera uses a USB 1.1 interface and also outputs (selectable) NTSC or PAL video.
Movie Mode
It is possible to capture 70 seconds of video with audio using the 640 x 480 TV mode, or 180 seconds of video with audio using the 320 x 240 Small Movie mode.
More Features
It's always easy to get the perfect pictures thanks to the 5400's Best Shot Selector. In this mode the camera snaps five consecutive shots, analyzes them, and saves only the best of the bunch based on several selection parameters. A similar Auto Exposure Best Shot Selector mode does the same thing by comparing the tonal range and gradation of five consecutive shots snapped in quick succession. All the other pictures are then discarded to conserve storage space. All this is made possible by the camera's integrated 64 MB buffer that can quickly store several shots without committing them to the slower CompactFlash card.
Other features include:
- Advanced flash modes including Rear Curtain Sync and Repeating flash
- Record up to three minutes of QuickTime video with audio
- Hot shoe for adding powered accessories
Power and Size
An included rechargeable Li-ion EN-EL1 battery powers the camera for up to 110 minutes when using the LCD monitor. The camera measures 4.3-inches by 2.9-inches by 2.7-inches and weighs 11.3 ounces without the batteries and storage media.

I love this camera. It had a small defect with an electronic part, but is promptly fixed by Nikon service. The only downside is the size, which I thought I wouldn't mind, but recently has become more and more cumbersome for me. I think I might sell it and by a smaller Nikon that's more pocket-sized...

To the chase,
Good camera and I thought all was lost when ...
The camera sensor went out after 4 years or so. Nikon has a recall and will fix it if yours should go out. Screen black or as mine pink and smeary looking. Sent to Nikon fixed for free in about 3 weeks.
But anyway. just passing this on.
Search coolpix recall for more information. It was hard to find at Nikon web sight.

You do not want to get any Nikon cameras from the last 4~5 years. Most of them use the SONY CCD sensor, which has been failing like crazy as of late. Of course, for the 5400, Nikon finally fessed up and decided to issue a service advisory. But the company's repair record is so spotty that I've decided never to buy a Nikon again. They tried to "fix" my sensor the 1st, and ended up breaking the control system. My camera is now in for its 3rd "redo."
Don't buy this camera unless you like non-functioning cameras and nonexistent service.
