I decided to purchase this item because I needed to get SD memory for my g/friends digital camera, so I chose this one because of the price and the brand. SanDisk is known for their memory. When it worked, it was fine........2006-01-12

I got a really great deal on a 128mb SanDisk SmartCard through Amazon. However, one day it was no longer recognized by my Olympus camera. It could not be reformatted either. It was only about a year old, so I received a new card quickly from SanDisk. Now a year later-- same thing has happened. The card has a five year warranty HOWEVER, I called the manufacturer who told me they no long make this product and there are no replacements available for them to send me, so in other words, I am OUT OF LUCK. They offered to send me another product (not for the camera, but just something else of the same value). That was a nice gesture, but I really didn't need anything else. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. If you're going to buy one of these cards, be aware they are no longer being replaced by SanDisk, so the 5 year warranty is basically useless.

Great for Canon A-series dig, cameras.......2005-09-10

just got this one at sears, and was only $20 so i grabbed it. the Canon A400 i have only came with 16mb so i needed more space. the 128 is much faster and easy to format than my old one. love it!!! go out and buy one today! GET SANDISK NOT LEXAR, THEY BREAK ALL THE TIME!!!!!!

Works Perfectly.......2005-08-26

This is the memory card that came with my Pentax 6.1 megapixel camera. I've taken hundreds of pictures, dumped them from the camera to my hard drive, and have had no problems of any kind. At the highest quality JPEG setting, its capacity is about 40-45 pictures.

One thing I am wondering about is the speed. When I began searching for a 1GB card I noticed SanDisk touted its Ultra II card as being very fast in transferring data to the card--over 9 megabytes per second. I went back and looked at the transfer rate for this original SanDisk, and it claimed a rate of "up to 10 megabytes" per second. So the difference in speed appears to be negligible if anything. The price difference is not, however. The plain vanilla SanDisk 1GB is usually about 20-30 dollars cheaper than the 1 GB San Disk Ultra II. Besides, the transfer speed is only critical when you're using the continuous shooting mode, which I seldom use.

This is an excellent product and would recommend it to anyone. However, it may not work with all electronic devices and you must read information about your particular product before buying this. Also, I am not 13,but didn't feel much like logging into my account to review this product. I hope my review of this product will help other people before buying this.

Disappointed.......2001-02-21

I bought this stereo based on the customer reviews and of course the low price. I returned it. The CD player worked for only a few hours before conking out. The digital tuner did not tune stations as well as I can with my other, non-digital radios. But most of all I was disappointed with the sound quality. It was very poor in my opinion and sounded like I was listening to it in the bathroom.

SURPRISING VALUE for this price........2001-02-07

I purchased this unit after reading the other reviews, but still had a surprise coming! The unit is better than I had anticipated. The look is great, and the speaker quality is as good as units costing a lot more. I wanted a good radio - for listening to Public Radio, and also the sound quality to listen to my classical CDs. The small remote is more than adequate. I would recommend this minisystem to anyone - and it fits on a shelf very neatly!!

Excellent bookshelf stereo. Remote Control DOES work the radio tuner. Being a simple minded 'blue collar' guy, I couldn't figure it at first [the first 3 hours after I opened it, then wrote my review the next day, before double checking it]... ANYWAY, it's a great little unit. Buy it, whenever it's back in stock. Oh and the Amazon.com folks got it to me packed extremely well and in only 4 days!

Pretty Good for the price.......2000-12-27

Got this for Christmas a few days ago. We're using it in our den. Good bookshelf stereo. Sound is really good. Convenient to use for a family with limited stereo 'Know-how.' We like it because the CD door opens easily in limited space. We like the tuner too. Cassette operation is easy and it makes great tapes off of the CD. Be sure to get higher quality blank tapes though. Remote control only operates the CD, hince 4 star rating, but what can you expect for only eighty bucks. We listen to a WIDE variety of music on it and it all sounds good, listening to Cranberries right now, swing, bluegrass, celtic, reggae, blues and of course rock-n-roll sound good on this system, but surprisingly the speakers give good high, mid and low range sounds with classical as well. Good choice for limited budget.

I must say - I was a bit nervous about buying something online this big. No problems tho! But you can imagine my surprise. This unit is fantastic. The sound is clear, nice balence, tapes well from cd or radio. The digital tuning is definately a plus. The remote, is larger, but you can control everything but the tape player. I was very impressed on the quick shipping just in time to wrap it up, for my daughters bday present. Now... to shop for a cd case!

Do not install driver for the IDE controllers from the CD.

difficult to get started.......2004-02-27

This MB does not come with a power cord for a serial drive. The drivers included with the MB will cause windows XP to stop working, due to missing a system file. There is information about this at the nVidia website. You will not be able to install WindowsXP if you are using a serial hard drive unless you know to hit F6 quickly when given the chance during the install of the Operating system, then install the drivers for the serial drive from a floppy, which you make from the driver disk, look for Bootdrv.exe on the disk. This motherboard will not operate with two strips of 512 pc3200 memory, in spite of what the manual says. Customer support at gigabyte seems to be in another country and does not understand any of these problems. I have returned my first MB and the second has exactly the same problems. From the web it appears many others have problems with nVidia drivers for different products

I hate it! I was ripped off when I bought this. How could I know that I would never be able to ugrade it to a new Operating System. You could at least write new drivers for Windows XP and Windows 2000.

My first scanner - content so far........2002-02-19

This is my first scanner, so I haven't much to compare it to. I picked it up to use mostly for scanning items to sell on eBay.

The resolution, in my opinion, has been great. I've been using the default resolution setting (which isn't the highest) and the scanner has been producing images with file sizes up to 5 megs. More than enough for eBay images! It also came with OCR (optical character recognition) software that will supposedly scan a text document and convert it into a Word/Notes document. I've yet to use this, but seem to recall another reviewer saying that it wasn't working as advertised.

The scanner could be smaller. I've seen a Canon unit that was about half as thick as the BearPaw. And I always hate it when a product, whether software or hardware, alters or adds programs that aren't necessary for running the product. Especially my 'startup' folder. In the case of this scanner, it added another copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 into a different directory than C:\program files\adobe. So I had two copies of the Reader program and uninstalled one of them. I hope that didn't mess up the OCR software program since I haven't tested it yet. And the Photo Express program that it comes with will start automatically whenever you scan something. This became annoying since I feel more comfortable using Photoshop for image editing. Total programs uninstalled: 2.

Overall, I would recommend this scanner for someone looking for an entry level unit. It should suffice for most duties and then some. And the price is right. Just be sure to go the manufacturer's site and download the latest drivers. The packaged ones didn't work for my system (AMD K6-2 proc. running W98). Hope this helps.

Truly the Yugo of scanners.......2002-01-26

It looks pretty, little bear paws on the cover. The installation disk aborts immediately when you try to install it under WinXP. There are new drivers available on their website, but you have to call tech support on your own dime to figure out how to install them (i.e. the scanner must be off, download all 14 driver files at 1.2meg each, run the web.exe first, when it says to reboot don't, run the uplib.exe next, ignore the error messages about not being compatible, ok now reboot, now you can turn on your scanner) When none of the instructions work, they email you stuff to read and hang up on you. You read the stuff they sent and that doesn't help either, so you call them back, they repeat the process and email you different stuff. After 4 hours of trying to install it and 4 separate tech support calls, I give up.

Allright but problems.......2002-01-19

I bought this as a gift for my fiance's X-mas Gift(he is a computer technician) and he somewhat liked it but hated the fact that it was hard to change the language from french to english and get it to set up. So far he has only used it once because it takes up so much space on his computer but overall it is ok

Non functional.......2002-01-06

Before purchasing this scanner, realize that it is totally non functional for any modern computer. Out of the box it only has drivers for Windows 95. It will not run on XP, Win2000 or what not. The website does have a section where drivers are allegedly available but THEY WILL NOT DOWNLOAD. It just says "page not found".
I purchased two of these as gifts and now they are just large paperweights (humiliating to me as the gift giver).
My advice..try to download the drivers BEFORE you purchase this.
