Good for home use.......2007-09-16

I have no problems with this printer, other than the print cartridges are too small. I refill them at home and you need to drill into the top of the cartridge to access the sponges. I do notice after a year of heavy duty printing at home it seems to be wearing out. But for light printing and home use, it's fine.

Expensive paperweight.......2007-05-14

What a collossal peice of junk. This is a "printer" in name only. It takes at leat 6 tries to print a simple document because it jams EVERY time. Clear the jam, and you have to start the print job all over. Need an important document for work or school? You better start attemptimg to print at least a week before you need it. Oh, and you should only attempt a print job in day-light hours because this thing is loud enough to wake the dead. It goes through ink quite rapidly. Interesting, considering how seldom it actually prints anything.
And scanning? Forget it! I've had this thing for 6 months and it still won't scan. The photo quality is awful-I get better pictures from an old Xerox copier.
I gave this one star only because that's the lowest rating Amazon has.

Have had this printer for about a month. It does everything well, but the print quality is a bit inferior to my latest all-in-one, an HP 7130. Still, this machine is very good and has excellenet paper feed. Also, the scanning capablity is, I think, exceptional. Nice machine, especially for the money: $99 at Sam's Club in Virginia.

pushy to make you buy ink.......2006-08-25

A warning comes up when the ink cartridge is low telling you to buy a new ink cartridge and delaying printing for 15 seconds. Even if you are making a print using only black ink and the color cartridge is "low" it will delay printing. The thing is, there are at least 50 copies left when it calls the cartridge low on ink, so you spend most of the life of each cartridge having to suffer long delays in printing. The support staff is in India and is no help at all. They tell you to buy bigger cartridges or clean the contacts, or other silly things, but are no help in advice for turning off the stupid warning. Don't buy it, they are greedy.

great printer for the price.......2006-07-23

I have no major complaints about this workhorse of a printer. In fact, when I had a problem with the USB cable that was included and contacted customer service, I was sent a replacement free of charge. It does a great copy of scanning, printing and faxing for everyday use. It even does an adequate job of printing photos as long as you exchange the color ink cartridge for a photo ink cartridge. I have a HP photo printer for my digital camera (which does an excellent job) but this one does in a pinch. This model has two ink cartridges: one black and one color, which helps save on replacement costs if you have a lot of document printing (as the single cartridge has to use of all of the colors to print out black text). The scanner bed lid has some heft to it and was not as flimsy as some of the other models. My only complaint is that it took a really long time (20 mins) for the software to load up. I haven't had any operational problems and the life span of my cartridges are pretty good, especially compared to my old HP printer - not to mention a lot cheaper for replacements. I really like the features of collating copies, auto feeder, easy enlargement and reduction, and especially the PicBridge connection easily located in the front. But the feature I love best is the easily loaded paper tray and the fact that I have yet to get a paper jam. I can highly recommend this Lexmark model to anyone who needs a 3-in-1 combination printer loaded with extras.

Worthless TV.......2001-11-28

This is without a doubt the most worthless and useless TV I have ever seen. Reception is horrible without an antenna, which is impossible to find even with the help of the Memorex customer service people. Memorex will never be an option when I make my future electronics purchases.

I AGREE WITH THE INDIVIDUAL WHO STATED THE RECEPTION IS EXTREMELY POOR. I HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE COUNTRY TRYING TO FIND AN ANTENNA THAT WILL FIT THIS SYSTEM....WITH NO LUCK. I HAVE ALSO CALLED, AND CALLED MEMOREX DIRECTLY AND FOUND THEM TO BE OF NO HELP. SINCE I'M NOT A VENDOR, THEY WILL NOT HELP ME OBTAIN ONE. I ALSO FOUND OUT THAT THEY NO LONGER SELL THE ANTENNA THAT WAS MADE FOR THIS UNIT!!! THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER TREATMENT AND I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH MEMOREX AGAIN. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION MUST NOT BE A PRIORITY AT MEMOREX!!

NO TV reception.......2000-09-23

This is not really a portable TV because it has no TV antenna. It is made to be connected to an antenna source - like cable. I tried buying a TV antenna but the rabbit ears it needs are nearly as big as the unit which means I no longer have a portable unit that can be carried in one hand - I really wish it came with a TV antenna - I do not understand what the manufacturer was thinking! I won't buy Memorex again.

Sports Addict on the go........2000-05-22

This works well for the sports addict on the go. Especially when the announcer just doesn't cut it, you need to see it in living, well black and white. Reception seems to be fine especially in the back seat of the family mini van when we are on the go, this way I can catch the game and run errands with the family, mom drives and I couch potatoe out in the back seat.

Pretty Dern Good, but ugly as sin :).......2005-01-27

The device itself is solid and works very well. The range is good and the setup is pretty much just the same as any other USB Bluetooth Adapter. (Just make sure you install the drivers on the cd over the windows ones (and that does for any adapter)) I haven't really had any problems with it at all. I've hotsync'd my Sony clie with it, set it up so i can surf the web, instant message, and check email, and the only limit seems to be the range of the clie itself. (The signal meter in the adapter drivers shows the clie getting further and further away until it can't find it anymore). I've also connected to my phone and moved around pictures, sounds and themes (S.E. T637). Everything seems to work great! Honestly, this is probably (one of) the cheapest BT Adapter(s) out there, It's Class-II which means twice the range of Class-I, and i've had excellent experiences with it.

My one gripe is with the looks of it. It just has a cruddy sticker (in the amazon picture) as identification of where it came from, no logo's moded into the plastic or anything like that. It seems more like a generic device with a Blue-Gene sticker slapped onto it, and the blue gene sticker says their name very small. All in all, it's a pretty good rig, but if the company tried a little more professionalism in the packaging, it'd get a mark higher. Most people wouldnt care though...

Worst LCD Ever Made!!!.......2003-12-18

This is truely the worst LCD ever made by NEC/Mitsubishi. The color is dull in comparison to the NEC-Mitsubishi MultiSync LCD1550V 15" LCD Monitor. I had to return this LCD for the LCD1550V LCD. It was a little bit more expensive but well worth it. You get what you pay for.

Good choice.......2003-12-09

This budget LCD monitor is a good choice for home and SOHO users. It's stylish in black, and the LCD panel gives good image clarity and color reproduction. Minor gripes I have are first the contrast ratio could be higher (but that can be said of every LCD I've seen) and second the menu system is harder than it should be. But this ranks top in departments that matter the most in a monitor: image quality. Also, I've had various NEC's in the past and their durability is nothing short of top-notch.

worked like a charm.......2003-09-30

i like this model a lot. of course, i'm not a computer genius or anything, more of a self-professed luddite... but i've invested a lot of time shopping and reading information on what really mattered when buying a flat panel display. as a student, i'm naturally limited by a budget, i've decided on this particular model because it's of good quality, and has all the technology that i wanted -- and more importantly, it won't break my bank!

i don't indulge in really intense computer games like counter-strike etc, but i do enjoy games like simcity and the sims, so i'd like a reasonable response time. this machine provides that, and i love that it doesn't take much space in my sardine-can-sized room.

bottom line is that it works wonderfully, the color's brilliant and i can't find anything wrong with it when compared to the traditional CRT. in fact, it works better!

Not that impressed........2003-06-21

It does the job, but I am really not that impressed, it was priced O.K. I had a little trouble getting it to come on the first time, had to push the on button really hard and it mad a loud snap that sounded like something broke inside, but other than that it seems to work fine, it is no better or worse than any of the other LCD monitors that I have seen. LCD is cool because it saves space, and doesn't hurt your eyes like a tube will, but I am really not that impressed with this monitor.

Excellent Product at a good price.......2003-08-17

The monitor is attractive and easy to set up. It has very good brightness and contrast. The response speed, which can be a problem with LCD monitors, is the fastest I have seen. It had only one bad pixel, which is about as good as any LCD monitor I have seen. I am seriously considering replacing my last CRT monitor with another LCD5V. Great job NEC!
