Just what I needed!.......2007-01-06
This 2GB Sony Pro Duo went on vacation with me -- to Paris, Venice, Florence & Rome. It (and the Sony DSC H2) worked far better in lowlight cathedrals than I expected. Outdoor pictures were flawless and, using a high resolution setting still got me just over 600 shots before I had to download.

Description and information related to this item is misleading:
1. Does not come with a Xerox calculator (at least from two sellers)
2. Shipping weight is not 4 lbs
3. Adaptor not part of MSX-M2GN package just trown in the envelope(see Sony MSX-M2GN)
4. No storage case supplied (see Sony MSX-M2GN)
5. Info on the back printed not laser etched.

Great Portable Pics.......2007-08-10
I'm a field biologist who owns a good SLR slide camera AND a good digital SLR with interchangeable lens, but I never have them when I need them because they are bulky and inconvenient to carry when I'm working in the field. This Sony camera is GREAT... it fits in my pocket AND it takes high quality pictures, including close-ups of insects on plants (my particular interest). The kit is also good - it allows you to get going immediately since everything you need is included. I'm happy with my purchase.

Horrendous Sony Customer Service.......2007-09-04
We received this camera on 8/7/07 from Cameta Camera. On 8/17/07, the camera just stopped working. We thought it could be due to the battery, so we went to Best Buy and got a new battery, charged it up, and still not working. We called Cameta Camera and asked if we could exchange it. We were told that they couldn't take the defective camera back because Sony prevented its dealers from doing so, and we had to call Sony directly.
We called Sony and were told by the rude customer service that they would not take the camera back, nor would they exchange it. They would fix it and would not guarantee how long it could take.
We tried to explain to the customer service that it was defective. We even got a new battery for it. They would not listen but simply repeat that they would fix the camera. Finally, we told him that we'd never buy Sony products again if this was the kind of customer service they provided. Then the customer service said that there was this final review board we could write a letter to and state our case. They would decide whether an exchange is feasible. We sent the letter a couple of days ago.
If you are thinking about buying a Sony product, think again, because they are not going to exchange it even when their product is defective within 10 days of the purchase date.
