Received 2 clearly used batteries.......2007-09-24

As mentioned by several other reviewers, I also received a battery that looked used and worn. It came in a non-sealed plastic tray. The battery was covered with minor scratches and the contacts on the battery also showed signs of having spent some time in a phone prior to my getting it. It also failed to hold a charge longer than the battery I intended to replace with it.

A call to customer service (got a US based person) and Amazon promptly sent me a new one supposedly having the warehouse check to see that I got a "NEW" one this time. They did not even want the old one back.

Unfortunately, the new one was in the same shape as the first. A second call to Amazon (got an Indian based person this time). She was less helpful and offered me a credit and told me to send it back. She made no attempt to try and get to the bottom of this and get me truly new battery.

They really need to get to the bottom of this and figure out why so many people are having this issue

Great Replacement.......2007-09-21

This battery was a great replacement for the original and the battery life of my girlfriends phone was increased from about a 1/2 hour of talk time before low battery went off back to 2 hours or more!

I too received a used battery: it's coated with some gooey substance, and the contacts are clearly marked from usage. True: it's a good price. But, I find it shocking that Amazon would sell used batteries without marking them as 'used'. In line with their typically excellent customer service, Amazon has refunded my purchase price. They might have saved me (and them) the bother by just writing 'used' here, however.

Not the Real Deal.......2007-09-17

When I put this battery in my LG cell phone, it charged up, then a message came on saying to use a genuine battery, then the phone shut off.
I returned the battery for a full refund, plus shipping.

The batteries were sold as new, they definately were not and performed worse then the battery I wanted to replace. Don't order batteries from Amazon it is just a waste of time. At this time I am still waiting for my refund as well.

I'm not returning them because it will cost me more to send them back than it cost to buy them in the first place. Since they didn't send me the right batteries the first time, why would I think they would send me the right ones the next time?

I ordered 3 chargers from this place, and one of them was shot....and didn't work. either it was for a completely different model or just busted...

Works, but cycles charging and stopping.......2006-11-17

I purchased this charger as an additional one to keep in my bag for travels. It does work in that it charges the battery completely, comparable to the original one, but there is a flaw.
I usually charge the phone with it on so that I can receive calls at night too. When it's done charging, it stops, but then within a couple of seconds to about a minute, it starts charging again, presumably since in that time the battery's charge has dropped below the threshold. It then stops charging after a couple of seconds when that small amount is restored. Every time the charger starts and stops, the phone emits a soft beep, which gets annoying, since in the middle of the night, I'll hear a beep every couple of minutes. I have to get up and disconnect the phone.
I think the original charger has a different chip that keeps the charger from restarting once the battery is charged while it remains connected to the phone.
With all that said, I got the charger when the cost was one penny, and you really can't ask for much at that price. Like I said, it does serve its purpose in terms of charging the battery.

Talk time is like tripled, and standby time is not measured in days. Pricey, I think I can get a better deal with like a generica branded extended battery for over half off. But when it comes to batteries I guess if you want OEM you will have to pay more for it. No complaints

Nowhere in the product description was it mentioned that the battery is used. Used batteries are worthless. I feel ripped off, I would never knowingly buy a used battery.

Since it is OK with Amazon to sell this used item without indicating that it was used, I have now lost my confidence in everything listed on Amazon.

Poor Performance and ZERO Charge.......2007-08-13

I purchased this battery to replace the one in my phone which I have had for two years. This battery is identical to the one I was using, so I figured since it was new it should hold a charge like the one currently being used in our other phone - WRONG. I am able to talk about 5 minutes after the battery has been fully charged, after that the charge drops to one bar, then gone. It would probably cost me almost as much in postage to return this battery to the supplier as what I paid for it, so I'll just not buy anything from that vendor again.

Cheap and brand new!.......2007-08-07

Had read some of the other reviews where people mentioned that theirs were "used" so I was a bit concerned, but the price was right to take a chance. Glad I did - while there were a few scuffs on the battery, I highly suspect that was due to the bulk packaging (the battery came in a little baggie, not an OEM box). But it was an LG brand battery, seemed to be brand new, and has worked perfectly fine. Plus, it was way cheaper than what the non-bulk packaging ones were selling for.
