Product Description
The KX-TG6074B is an expandable digital cordless answering system with 4 handsets. When a call comes in, this phone doesn't just let you see who's calling, it actually tells you who's calling with Talking Caller ID. Using text-to-speech technology, the caller's name is announced between rings if name/number Caller ID information is available. With SlowTalk message playback, you'll never miss important information again. You can slow down the playback speed of recorded messages by 30 percent at the touch of a button. And with this system's all-digital answering system, those messages will already be crystal clear and easy to retrieve, with up to 18 minutes of recording time.By simulating a band signal above and below the normal bandwidth limitations, Voice Enhancer Technology helps clarify and improve sound reception creating a natural-sounding voice that is easy to hear and understand.

Great Product, BUT.............2007-09-14
I bought this product about a week ago. I'm satisfied it's performance is "as advertised"; all the functions function as they're designed to and it has several new and nifty features not present on my 6+ year old version of Panasonic's 2001 phone/answering machine. The range of the units is great. I can talk all over the house, up and downstairs. The voice Caller ID is totally handy and so far there've been no hilarious gaffs as the machine tries to pronounce difficult names, although I must say I would welcome a few mistakes for humor's sake. The unit is easy to program, the vocal clarity is rather good. At this point my only complaint is this: what the HELL was Panasonic thinking when it designed that ridiculous wall mount? All my other Panasonic units (and there have been a few dating back many years)were wall-mountable so that they lay (more or less) flat against and parellel with the wall. This new version sits perpendicular to the wall, which position makes its use quite awkward unless you happen to be well over 6' tall. It also juts out in such a way as to make bumping or crashing into it inevitable. Finally, it's aesthetically egregious.
However, I'm otherwise altogether satisfied with my purchase. If I could have given stars in half increments I would have rated this product at 41/2 for the reason/rant already stated.
Thanks for reading.
Happy consumer.......2007-09-11
Gave this to my daughter-in-law for a gift. She needed a cordless phone and extra handsets. She is thrilled with every detail of the phone and says it works great.
pretty good, but missing some basic stuff.......2007-09-04
I got these yesterday and here are some first impressions:
Negatives:
1.No backlit key pad. C'mon, how much would that have cost the manufacturer to implement?
2.Handset speaker volume on it's loudest setting is what I would consider about a 5 on a 1-10 scale. On low, it's difficult to hear. And I have pretty good hearing.
3.Menus are a bit complex and not very intuitive. Oh, well.
4.After listening to a message, the message light goes off. This implies to me that there are no messages to listen to on the answering machine.
5.No numerical readout showing how many messages there are on the answering machine.
6.Base recharging stations are a bit light and therefore susceptable to being knocked over.
7.When using as an intercom, only the called (not the caller) can use it in speaker phone mode.
8.There doesn't seem to be a place for a belt clip and none are included. I would assume if there is a headphone jack, there should be belt clips for the handsets.
Positives:
1.Good reception and no interference on Wi-Fi, and 2.4 GHz baby monitor. FHSS is definitely the way to go.
2.I can turn off the ringer on any of the phone handsets for sleeping baby (or parents, rarely) Side note: base ringer can NOT be turned all the way off, only down.
3.Phone books can be easily transferred to any phone handset and phone books can be different in each handset. When copying entire phonebooks over to another handset, it only adds new numbers, not deletes numbers that exist in target handset and not in sending handset.
4.Four handsets are so much better than just two. We only have two jacks in our house and before this phone, we could only have two phones. I do worry a bit about what happens if the base unit goes dead in x# years, but that's why I'm not tossing my old phones.
excellent product.......2007-09-03
I read the reviews before I choze this phone system and I am not in the least unhappy. They are easy to use as promised.
DEFICIENT.......2007-08-31
The telephone doesn't work correctly, it looses the signal when you are 30 feet away from base, and cuts the voice you are sending/receiving.

GE always works for me and my family!.......2007-09-13
DE products always work for me and my family. I bought this phone to replace an old GE phone. It's price is only $10 more than my old one, but it does a lot more than the old one. A very good product for the money!!
A great phone!.......2007-08-23
This phone is great! It holds a good charge, I can hear clearly and everything! The only thing that could be better is the answering machine. I like the "delete all" option when it comes to messages (especially when I have 25) but instead you have to go through each one and delete. Other than that, great phone!
Great Product.......2007-08-15
So far so good. I love having the two handsets and they seem like they hold their charge. The volume is good and the sound is clear.
Your own voice is loud in your ear.......2007-07-22
These phones work well in all aspects except that when you speak into the handset, your own voice seems to be amplified into the speaker at your ear. I find myself having to change the position of the phone away from my ear in order to not blow my ears out!
Also, no headphones jack.
Great Phone.......2007-05-08
I bought this phone a week ago and love it! Unlike the previous reviewer, I don't have a buzzing problem either.

Panasonic KX-TG6054B Cordless Phone System.......2007-09-21
I am extremely pleased with this phone system. I just moved into a 57 year old home, which had one functional phone jack. This alternative allowed me to place stations on all floors of the home. The talking Caller ID feature, while convenient, is difficult to understand since it speaks phonetically exactly as displayed. I highly recommend this product.
Great phone.......2007-09-06
I love this phone. The talking ID is great. The programming and set up was easy.
Superb Phones, extraordinary Value.......2007-08-29
This quite simply and shortly put, is the best phone system I have ever had. What a treat to actually be able to have clear, undisturbed signal, even when a great distance from the Base Unit. The ones I had before would not touch this one. I have a quite large home and I could literally just take one phone at all points in the house, and use it with a crisp sound. Not to mention, if I had to wander out doors, even a fair distance from the house, she remains crystal clear with No static or lose of signal. Impressive to say the least. I love this so much, I am now purchasing another Panasonic system for my business!! Great Value!! I have paid far more for Far, far less. This System is it!!
excellent.......2007-07-28
Everything it says it is..I had 2 other phone systems trying to get what this one system has. No interference, great battery power perfect amount of phones
Another Great Telephone System from Panasonic!.......2007-07-27
I have been a loyal Panasonic cordless telephone customer for many years now. I am always impressed with the stylish look, awesome reception, useful and fun features, durability and reasonable cost of Panasonic cordless telephones. Even back in the days of 900 MHz cordless phones, Panasonic always seemed to offer the most features and best quality for the money. Well the KX-TG6054B does not dissapoint in the least bit!
To be honest I was a little concerned with the new design, which does away with the traditional antenna "nub" that Panasonic is known for. I was afraid that the lack of this antenna would affect reception and limit distance I could travel with the phone from the base. Well I am happy to say that I was wrong. My wife can walk several houses down the street (city street mind you, were houses are not very far apart) and still receive calls on the new cordless phone. Reception is flawless, with no static, and no dropout sound. The tonal quality of the sound from each receiver is very good. We don't particularly care much for the "Voice Enhancer Technology" as it seems to make the sound a bit artificial. Still I can see where some may like it, as it increases volume and clarity of sound when speaking with a distant (soft spoken) sounding caller. The backlit LCD display is big and clear, even easy to read in moderate sunlight. I will not go into all of the features of this phone, as the list is quite extensive. However, I would like to note that the talking caller ID, which may seem a bit silly to some at first, is really a handy feature that we have grown to love. The text to speech technology in this phone leaves a little to be desired, but you get used to it after awhile and you can always make out who it is that is calling. It pronounces words exactly as they are spelled, for the most part, so a last name like Scholten is pronounced "Sholten". As I said, you get used to it. =o)
My only dissapointment with this phone is the lack of backlit keypads. I specifically chose this model, after doing a bit of research on the Panasonic website, because it was claimed to have backlit keys. I purchased two sets of these phones (one for us and one for a neighbor friend) and I can definately tell you that the claim of backlit keys is false. It may not seem like a big deal to most people, but if you want a phone that you can see the keypad in the dark, while trying to dial, then this becomes an issue of frustration. At least the LCD display is backlit so that you can see when you have mashed down the wrong digits while trying to dial a phone number. I also miss an included belt clip for the telephone handsets, which Panasonic had always provided for models in the past. If you like to use a heaset with your phone, as my wife often does while running her home daycare business, then you find that a belt clip is a needed accessory for clipping the phone to your belt or pants pocket. Sure the phones are small enough that you could probably cram it into your pocket, but then you would surely find that buttons would be pushed when inserting the phone and/or when walking around with it in the pocket.
I also want to note that the 5.8 GHz Panaonic phones will not win any awards for longest battery life; at least when it comes to talk time. The best we can get out of a full charge is about 5 hours of talk time. Still, with 4 handsets at your disposal you can certainly keep enough of them charged to hand off a call to another handset when the low battery alert warns you that you are on borrowed time. Several other manufacturers have managed to squeeze out far more talk time on their 5.8 GHz phones so I don't know why Panasonic always seems to come up weak in this category. However, if you are looking for a cordless phone that will impress you with its long battery life then you should consider one of the Panasonic Dect 6.0 models. They claim to last up to 17 hours of talk time on a single charge. That is simply amazing to me! My next choice of cordless phone may just be a Panasonic Dect 6.0 system.
Overall I would highly recommend the Panasonic KX-TG6054B. Amazon has a great price on this system, which includes not two, not three, but FOUR cordless handsets. You will not be dissapointed with the sound quality and plethora of features of this system. Unless Panasonic decides to cut corners and begins producing far less impressive cordless phones in the future, I will remain a very loyal customer.

Our first brand new cordless phone with digital answering system.......2007-07-14
Yes, we were excited about getting this product and after programming it with ease, we found that it works great and we are very happy with it. It's exactly what we expected and for that I am pleased.
Dynamic.......2007-06-08
The GE Cordless phone with its state of the art Digital Answering System in space age white is truly one of the most fantastic phones I have ever used. If you have the means, I highly recommend it to the walkie-talkies I have been using since age 13 which make coversations with anyone beyond my driveway staticy. After pushing several buttons, usually seven on the ergonomically correct key pad, the phone uses its intuitive logic to call the people I have dialed. With the addition of three or four more buttons to the prefix of the numbers I am dialing, I can even make calls outside the United States. Often people will answer the calls and then we can have a "coversation" in real time. It's a great conversation piece and makes an attractive addition to my wall. It's everything I have every wanted in a phone. Thank you GE!
Good to have in kitchen.......2007-05-26
Good cordless phone, handy easy to use... minimal features... you cant expect more for this price. ringer tones are restricted to 5 rings. need 7 atleast. volume is too low to listen...overall good to use.
Good phone for the price.......2007-05-01
Good phone if you want something inexpensive. I did not have problems with the answering machine resetting as I had read in a previous review (sounds like that person got a defective machine). Bought mine a month ago and am very happy with it.
excellent.......2007-04-03
Though I was initially afraid to buy this so called cheap product. It turned out 2 be really good after my first call on it. It works really good, the clarity is also excellent. So is the battery. It might not have additional features like those costly ones but serves the basic need perfectly

No Thank You!.......2007-08-23
This phone is horrible -- the sound quality is terrible, the caller id display is extremely faint, and there is constant static that sometimes i have to hang up in the middle of a call and redial just to get rid of the noise. my cheap radioshack 900mhz phone that i've had for 4 years is waaaay better. the only plus about this GE phone is that the battery life is great.
GE Cordless Telephone.......2007-08-23
This phone works fine for us, however, when it rings, and we pick up another phone in the house to answer, this phone keeps on ringing, one solid ring and doesn't stop for a few seconds after another phone has been picked up to answer. Again, I can't send it back to be replaced because my 30 days are up. And again, I won't be ordering another phone from you.
Failing Batteries in 90 days.......2007-06-26
After just 3 months this phone's batteries are already failing! This is now the second cordless in a row I've bought with short-lived batteries. The other was a Panasonic that cost around $20.
Even with it's low $14.99 price tag, the GE Cordless 2.4 GHz 27831FE1 Phone has proven to be a bad bargain. We could get a new set of batteries with GE's one year warranty, but this phone may not be worth keeping.
Its low-contrast, badly lit LCD is so hard to read, it's sometimes almost useless. This may be good excuse to go find a better phone.
The moral to this review is that a good brand name does not assure quality and a low price does not guarantee economy.
Nice Basic Phone for the Price.......2007-04-09
Nice basic phone for the price. Worked as expected. Coverage is good. Voice quality a little tinny, but whatchu want for this price?
Great little phone.......2007-03-08
The main appeal with this phone is that it's black,(sometimes in retail I have found it hard to find any color other than white), has a small footprint, and it works well. What more could your ask.

Nice Phone.......2007-09-06
I like this phone a lot. I use it for my business.I use a headset, so there is a jack on both the base and cordless unit. The only thing I DON'T like is the manual doesn't exlain things clearly and getting a tech support person is impossible. Its ALL menu's, NO option for a LIVE person, so if you buy this phone and neec tech support or even to help set it up as I had to, click option 1 then option 2 (to purchase a phone) and ask for a tech support person, you are connected right away.
Sleek phone - Software Bugs.......2006-09-09
- I woke up one morning to find my two cordless units with message "Searching for Base"
- On the base unit, I hit the DEREGISTER ALL option
- The display unit of the answering base shows the following message:
E 2562
M51 S51 FDXI
May 15, 2002
14:12:06
All keys are totally dysfunctional. I tried plugging into a different location after 5 minute gaps and all other options.
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE:
They asked me to try plugging the answering machine base into other locations around the house after removing batteries from the cordless units.
Unfortunately I barely ran out of warranty to take advantage of the warranty replacement process.
Please advise if there is a fix for this.
I obviously misspent $199 + $75 for the second cordless unit.
Expected better from AT&T.......2006-04-25
I actually find the sound quality and range pretty good, but I think the system is designed poorly. I can't tell you how many times I have been on the phone and wanted to scroll through my caller ID to get a number for someone I was talking to. No dice, it won't do that. There are a number of issues like that. I can't program it to prefer line 2 to make calls. You may think this is a not a big deal, except I don't like to reveal the line 1 number to my clients via there caller ID. So there went my private line.
Also the belt clip is worthless and after what seemed like hours on the customer support line they want to charge me $5.00 to replace it even though the phone is still under warranty. I'll try a different brand next time.
Complete piece of S***.......2006-04-24
Sound quality is poor more than about 20' away. I had to the move the base to the center of the house (rather than the kitchen where we wanted it) to get it to work at all. I had to return a unit. Now I'm stuck with it sort of working but with clicky-popy sound. Don't buy this system.
hmm.. so-so.......2006-02-25
For the price I paid ($145) this phone has a looot of shortcomings. For e.g., if you pick up the receiver, there's no way to press the redial option. The redial option is only available on the screen when the phone is on the hook. Secondly, if line 2 rings and you pick the phone up, it goes into line 1. Instead of line 2 (duh..)
The cordless has a very short battery life has to be constantly recharged!!
Also, if you have a power cut, both phones don't work. I bought this one thinking at least the corded phone would work (GE has a model like that) but unfortunately, I was mistaken.
It's a good phone all-in-all, and serves the purpose of a 2-line corded + cordless set, but it's overpriced. Next time I'm sticking with GE!
Product Description
Requiring only 1 jack, this dual handset system features a 30 Name/Number Directory as well as 30 Name/Number Caller ID History.

2 handset cordless phone.......2007-07-09
The phone arrived in a very timely manner and the sound quality is wonderful. I love having the extra handset.
AT&T 2.4GHZ phone.......2007-06-09
Great reception even a good distance from the house. I am very happy with this new purchase.
Okay phone .......2007-03-15
I really like the speaker phone on the phone because I don't have to go to the base. The only thing I don't like is when paging the phone both phones beeps. And if someone is on the phone in another room & ask me to pick up so we all can be on the phone I can't; I have to go in the same room as the person on the phone so we can use the speaker instead.
Seems to work well.......2007-01-18
We're happy with the phone--it does everything it was advertised to do, the sound quality is good, etc. I don't need to mount the phone on the wall, but the wall-mount hardware looked pretty bad. The only other remark I'd have is on the call-back feature. If you miss a call, you're supposed to be able to recall the number, then hit "dial" to reach the number, but it doesn't actually work because the phone doesn't prepend a "1" before the area code. I'm conscious of this because I get frequent wrong numbers on my cell phone, probably from using a phone like this.
Bottom line--it's a good phone, and I'd buy it again.

Good phones.......2007-08-29
Since getting cable phone lines, we do not have the same number of phone jacks in our home and these phones really do work well when plugged into the wall. The only problem I have had is after ordering a second set, I found that the expandable portion for separate purchases does not work correctly. I had a filter on my phone line when I had DSL, so I used that to allow all new sets and receivers to work together, but this negated some of the great features such as knowing when another line is in use. If you are going to buy one set of these phones, I think you will be happy. If you have cable phones and you plan to expand, you may want to rethink about it or add another phone jack before purchasing a second set.
Great Pick!.......2007-08-19
Purchased this set after weeks of research. I was looking for a cordless phone set that didn't have an answering machine but one that worked with my phone service package which already included voice mail. The VM indicator light works on all 3 - handsets & chargers. My fiance's favorite feature is the intercom/directlink feature - using it to talk to my son across the hall. Overall we are very impressed with the quality of these phones. I am proud of my purchase.
One of the best cordless phones in the market.......2007-05-31
Nice design
Ideal size
easy to use
great for a family, everybody is happy
Uniden DCT756-3 Expandable Cordless System.......2007-04-02
Uniden DCT756-3 Expandable Cordless System with Call Waiting/Caller ID and Extra Handset and Charger I had done a lot of reading on different cordless phones. For the price and factures there is no better deal out there. The phones have wonderful range, easy to program, great sound. The two way facture is a blessing in my home, I am disabled and my wife had to have emergency surgery we have no problem finding each other or the kids. I recommend this phone system to anyone who is looking for a great cordless phone set at the best price.
Cool Phones.......2007-02-04
I didn't buy my phones from Amazon, but based on the price, I wish I had. The phones are cool if you are trying to cut down on phone companies inside wiring fees. Keep them away from metal and microwaves. The instructions specifically say this and if you adhere to the instructions the phones will work fine. I will tell you this, don't try to use around the microwave while it's on...it won't work well at ALL! Walk about 10 feet from it and you'll be fine.
