Hi, I purchase the Microsoft XBOX 360 Wireless Controller for Windows one month ago and has a very long battery life. The bluetooth technology is a very good featur, which would go up 30 feet away fromt the reciever. The installation software is very easy to install, you just need to agree to the terms of the licance and the installation will began. The price of this controller is at a rezonable price. Thank you Microsoft.

Universal controller for windows game........2007-08-08

It simply works. The best part is because its made my Microsoft and highly backed by them thanks to the Xbox360, all the PC games I tried were preconfigured for it to work just like they would if I was playing the xbox360 version.

my only issues with the controller is that it wouldn't update the software properly. It would prompt me to update but then tell me I wasn't connected to the internet and that it couldn't. It eventually updated after about 7 tries. And then there is the issue of turning off the controller. If you hit the guide button it pops up a small menu on the screen which shows battery life and there is a button to open some options with the mouse, but none of the options are to turn off the controller. My solution for turning off the controller has been pulling off the battery or just wait the 10 minutes for it to shut itself off.

I use this controller on both my pc and 360. It is a little of a pain to switch between but the controller was probably not designed for this kind of dual use in the same room. It is the best controller I've used. Previously my favorite was the "DUKE" controller for the first xbox. I hate the s controller.

Works great just plug the receiver and start playing, the microsoft drivers are terrible but im hoping XBCD would be available for this pad soon, comes already with batteries, it's compatible with the rechargeable batteries and the play and charge kit, it supports rumble, if your game doesn't support this controller you can use Xpadder it's free.

Seems to work with games that will support other gamepads. I have Vista 64 and Microsoft has drivers for it on their website.

THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH SOUND - PLUG IT IN AND I LOST SOUND IN MY SPEAKERS (my mobo is a Gigabyte DS3)

No support anywhere on the microsoft website or internet on this, and I saw a frazzled previous reviewer... so here's the fix:

The controller has an integrated headset feature (you can buy seperately), but your pc may (like mine did) see the controller as a Controller AND a "headset." It automatically enabled the "headset" (thus disabling my speakers).

Go to Control Panel > Sound

You'll see it as a microsoft headset device enabled -- disable this "headset". Then your speakers should come back on. This does not interfere with the joystick at all.

What a brilliant controller! I have used this controller in every single game including MineSweeper. One tiny exception is that the D-Pad won't snap appropriately ro the center. It drifts slightly to the LEFT. It makes a big difference in Halo. But overall, it's brilliant.

I have played some of the older games from past generations which were good. This one is entertaining, Im not really into arcade racers more of the sims (waiting for Forza 2)but the whole reason I got this game is because my car is in this video game. Other than that it's pretty fun.

Live Actors in CG environment for story.......2006-11-10

NFS Carbon is another fun and exciting game by EA. It continues where NFS Most Wanted left off. NFS Carbon is all about turf wars. IT has the best graphics. The graphcs are better then all of the other NFS games. You can access "XBOX LIVE MARKET PLACE" where you can buy parts or cars. not to mention the Collector's eddition comes with all the "goodies" you are going to need for online play. So if you are a fan of NFS series you will surely find this game worth playing.

The biggest Need for Speed Let Down.......2006-11-05

I finished the game a mere 8 hours after purchasing it. May be more fun online but the storyline part of the game is way to short. And it seems as the higher you get the worse your car's handling becomes. Blacklist was ten times better and Underground 2 was 5 times better. There are a decent amount of cars and customization but the gameplay is really lost in this one. The idea for Carbon Canyon was good but I find that there are certain aspects of the canyon that are just stupid. If you skip a race and come back to it later they still have the same car and if you are driving a Lamborghini you can not overtake them. And they never crash off the cliff and you cannot make them crash. When playing in co op mode half the time in the upper levels my team-mates cost me races by stopping in front of me or by taking short cuts that get me hit by other cars or the short cut slows me down. The game is only 10% of what it should be.

I had been looking for a pair of wireless headphones to use with my 360, and I was not having much luck. The Wireless Headset Communicator only works for voice chat, not game audio. And game audio is what I wanted. Lot's of companies are selling wireless for voice, but not audio. I finally came across the EarForce X2 by TurtleBeach. It was exactly what I had been looking for. Headphones, not a one-ear piece for voice, but real headphones. And since this was made for the 360, it came with a adjustable mic for voice-chat. The price is a little high, but I said what the hell, I want/need it. My 360 is hooked up to one of the 2 TVs I have in my bedroom. My wife always said that the audio from gaming does not bother her, but I knew that if I cranked the sound up, not only would it annoy her or wake her up, but it would drown out the audio from the other TV in our bedroom. So I decided to pony up the cash in order to have the ability to play games without worrying if I am disturbing others. Especially in the middle of the night.

When the headphones arrived I was surprised at how lite-weight they are. They do feel a bit 'cheap'. But I use them daily and they still work fine. Easy to set up and easy to use. My wife says I look like a NASCAR guy wearing them and makes fun of me, but that's a small price to pay. The great thing I learned about the Earforce is that even though it is for the 360, it works with any system. I use it for my PS3 also. My one complaint is that the headphones themselves run on batteries. The transmitter has a DC power adapter, but the headphones use 2 AAA batteries. And anyone who ever used a Walkman knows how products like these devour batteries thru high consumption. The solution? Rechargeable batteries. I use rechargeable batteries for my 360 wireless controllers, so I went out and bought some more in the AAA size. Cost me less than $10 bucks at the nearest Staples.

I recommend this product for anyone that needs or wants to play games without disturbing those around them with the sound. It has a somewhat pricey tag, but it's worth it in the end.

Anyone looking for a good pair of headphones to use while playing games or watching tv...these are great. I find them great to use at night when I want to watch tv without bothering others...and they are also great to play games really loud without bothering others. Anyone concerned about the battery life...don't be. I bought them three weeks ago and I am still using them about 2 or 3 hours a night and have not had to change the batteries once (and these are the batteries that come with them). Great purchase...exactly as advertised!!!!! ps...they're comfortable too....a good example of that is how often I fall asleep while watching TV....very comfortable.

These headphones were pretty convenient to use, although it has a few flaws. The headphones are kind of big. They also have a bad range. You cant use this product to listen to music while u are walking around your house. The range of these headphones are bad,specially if any object stands between the transmitter and the headphones. But that being said, its very easy to set up and the sound is great. This can also be used with the xbox 360 to communicate with other players as it comes with a microphone attached.

Much Better D-Pad.......2006-12-11

I don't have many complaints when it comes to my XBox 360, but the standard controller was one of the few exceptions. The X, Y, A, and B buttons were way too stiff. The shoulder buttons weren't as good as they should have been, and at one point one of them fell off from being used too much, and worst of all, the D-Pad was beyond horrible.

Well no more. The D-Pad on this controller is much more reliable. Especially for games that requires you to use the D-Pad often. For example, I play Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 often, and before the other controller's D-Pad would make me do moves that I didn't want to. This one, however, doesn't give me that problem.

The one downside is the microphone interference. Whenever your using your microphone over live, other players your talking to may here static and such. It's not horrible static, but I'm told it's there. Just be warned that if you're the type of gamer who plays online with other people alot and want crystal clear communication with other players, this controller may not be for you. Otherwise, buy this controller.

Poorly made cables.......2007-07-31

These have no optical audio plug so if you have a surround sound set don't plan on getting dolby digital out of these cables. Also the picture quality is low because it shows fuzzy white outlines around everything making the image seem blurry. Overall these are poorly made, do yourself a favor and just get the first party cables for $20 more.

I purchased this cable to use with my Sony 42" 3LCD TV wondering how it compared to component. Well, it doesn't. No matter how I adjusted my settings, the VGA cable never came close to the component in clarity or color. This cable may be fine for CPU monitors, but for a TV with 1080i input capability, the component is much better in my opinion.

Wont Go Back to TV.......2007-02-07

I ordered this cable because I didn't want to purchase a HDTV for my office just to play Xbox games on.

When I received the cable I noticed that I had two male ends; the cable from my monitor is hard wired, so I could just disconnect the monitor cable and plug this one in. The remedy was to order a gender changer, which I purchased through Amazon. The shipping for the gender changer cost more than the changers itself, but in total it was around 6 dollars.

Now that everything is hooked up, I am very happy with the product. I actually went back to my nice big Sony television after playing on my 17 inch monitor and was a very surprised as to how I've gotten used to the better quaility from my LCD monitor. Oblivion rocks with this thing.

The sound output is good. I plugged it into my stereo and it works just fine.

Now all I need is a TV tuner card for my computer and I can get rid of the TV all together.

In short, this is a very good product for a very good price. Don't let the low reviews scare you off. The only recommendation that I have is to make sure you can plug this straight into your monitor. Otherwise, you may want to look into purchasing a VGA gender changer. Its still cheaper than buying the "official" microsoft vga cable.

this thing is a piece of junk. it causes lines across my monitor and doesn't have the optical audio port on it. stick to the first party cable, much much better than this piece of junk...
