This is my fourth Blue Tooth headset, and I am very pleased with it. I had one other Plantronics and two Motorola's. I drive a truck occasionally and people always complain that they could not hear me, just all the noise. This headset only picks up my voice, even with the window down people can hear me clearly! I had spent quite a bit more for the previous headsets. What a great find on Amazon for only $50! I learned about this product from a friend of mine who also drives a truck. I am so glad I found it. A truly outstanding device, well worth the money!

Multipoint Technology - Where?.......2007-09-24

I bought this headset specifically for its ability to connect to multiple devices (phone and laptop) at the same time. However, it doesn't seem to, pairing with one device always loses paring with the other. The Plantronics documentation (user guide included with the device as well as what I can find on their web site) doesn't even mention multipoint.

After trying several major bluetooth headset manufacturer brands, the Plantronics Voyager 510 performs excellently. Callers on the other end of the conversation can hear me without static. The multipoint capability allows almost flawless control over my Nextel Blackberry and my Pocket PC phone using just the one headset for both. This eliminates the need to have to choose which phone to use with the headset. This is the best bluetooth headset that I have ever owned.

I have owned a similar phone for several years and bought this one as a gift. I like to use it for talking while doing other things like folding clothes, washing dishes, peeling potatoes and working on the computer. I can even walk out to the mailbox while talking on the phone. Love this phone!

I tried several headset phones without success ... poor range and battery life seemed inevitable. Then I purchased a CT12, and it worked so well my wife wanted one too! We've had two of them for the last couple years and they have worked perfectly.

The headset is comfortable and it's easy to hear and be heard, it is feather-weight and the battery lasts for hours. They reach all parts of the house and yard, and there's no problem using two of them simultaneously (they completely ignore one another).

The item is compact in size which is very convenient. Although the headset doesn't adjust quite small enough for me. Haven't used it much yet, but the sound quality appears to be good. Packed full of features (which I have a hard time remembering how to use). Has several different ringtones, which you can assign to different callers, if you wish. That is a feature I had only had on a cell phone prior to this. Drawback: It is hard to remove from charger with the headset cord attached. Must grab it just right from the top two side edges. Overall, excellent product.

This is a great phone!! I bought two of them. My wife and I work from home and are on the phone for hours doing conference calls with our employees and the head office. Half the time I would have to go without a headset so I could hear. The sound clarity is superb and I love the size of the phone and fit of the headset.
The only drawback so far is the buttons are small and unlit - no big deal for me but might be for others.
I will probably by two more for our Florida office so we have them there too.

I am disappointed with this phone, but mainly that is my fault as I didn't listen to others. The headset is OK (I now know it was not the previous phone that was bad but the fact that I am too close to my wireless router) but it is useless as a regular phone because you can't use it without the headset; which ticks off my wife!!
I guess I should have bought a wireless headset phone.

I ordered this headset after it was recommended to me by a friend. It arrived quickly and I was impressed by it's design. It seems very sturdy but that is probably because I am used to much less expensive headsets. It was fairly easy to set up but there seems to be so many cords involved. I also had to purchase a new telephone because it did not work with my cordless telephone.
The sound is great. Very clear on both sides. The noise cancelling feature does work on some background noise but not on all. Also, I don't like the fact that you have to pick up your telephone headset and press a button every time you receive a call--but I guess there isn't much to be done about that.

I take the minutes for several weekly telecons that can each last 1-2 hours. To say the least, this headset system has been a "neck-saver". Since I type the minutes as I listen, I need both hands, and trying to cradle the phone receiver between my chin and shoulder for an hour or more gives me quite the pain in my neck. I don't move around much during the telecon, so the corded system works fine. The buttons are nice and big; the mute button is especially useful.

If you are on the phone for hours a day, the benefits of a headset over a handset become clear--especially if it is as light and comfortable as the Plantronics T10 model. This phone uses a corded headset, which decreases mobility somewhat, but it is unusual in that it comes with every accessory you'll need to use the headset in an over-the-head or over-the-ear configuration.

Installing this phone is child's play. A standard telephone cord (included) connects the small base unit to a wall jack, and the headset cord connects to the front of the unit. No power cord is necessary. Plantronics used a standard telephone jack interface for the headset but wisely used light headphone cable instead of bulky telephone cord on the unit. This helps keep the headset's already low weight to a minimum. They've also thoughtfully included a small alligator clip on the headset cord so you can clip it to a shirt pocket and keep the cord from brushing your face as you move.

As mentioned, the headset microphone and speaker unit can be attached to an ear hook or a headband. The headband is very light and highly adjustable, but we preferred using the ear hooks. Plantronics packages three different sizes of hooks with the device, so there's bound to be one that fits. The hooks sit on your ear instead of using a clamping mechanism, and the entire assembly is so light and unobtrusive that we were able to forget it was there after a few minutes. The microphone is the type that extends to your cheek instead of in front of your lips, so you don't have to deal with it bumping against your lips when you talk. For all these reasons, we were able to wear the headset all day without it getting in the way or making us look like extras from a bad sci-fi movie.

As for the sound quality, it was great under most circumstances. The microphone is so sensitive that it can pick up the hum of a computer if it's pointed in that direction, so this may not be the best solution for noisy environments. I've had problems with item, I use it for work from home. The sound quality is not always good, I can't turn the ringer off. When I unplug the phone from the jack, sometimes it takes 30 mins before I can take a call or make a call on it.

I have had this phone for over 5 years. I did have some difficulty once--but Plantronics is such a terrific company with a wonderful return policy. I work out of my house and my phone must be clear and work at all times. This phone fits the bill. The current price on this product is far less than what I paid for the phone the first time. I now have 2 so that I can work in 2 different locations in my home.

Overall, the item is good. The instructions on how to modify the sound quality could be clearer.

On the down side: beware of cell phones. If my Moto Q is between the transmitter and the headset, funny things and very poor quality happen.

The onther down side: the company that shipped it (this does NOT come from Amazon) did not send the lifter and I am getting tired of fighting them for it.

I actually purchased these because, in my excitement to get my XBox 360 up and running, I never noticed that it came with a headset. I have used both since, and these are a good alternative to the standard XBox 360 model. I do wish the the headpiece opposite the earpiece extended further down as it stops about 2 inches above my ear, but the headset stays on reliably and shouldn't come off short of you tossing your controller (which the headset plugs into) to the ground. On the plus side, the microphone is easily adjustable and seems to have a good sensitivity setting. A quality accessory, overall.

The XBOX 360 headset was purchased after the Microsoft headset that arrived with the XBOX 360 console suddenly stopped working. The new headset is much sturdier and clearer. My grandson uses it for XBOX live and can communicate with the other gamers without any problems. I would recommend this headset as a replacement for the Microsoft headset.

My Microsoft headset microphone stopped working after 7 months and my identical spare did not work out of the box (Microsoft did replace one with one that did work), so I swore off all Microsoft 360 headsets and went with the Plantronics X10 for Xbox 360. At first, it was a little snug but soon I got used to it. Works like a charm and all of my friends can now hear me loud and clear. I really like the volume/mute switch being inline because I can clip it to where I need it. At $14.99, this head set was cheaper than the Microsoft version. Hopefully, the Plantronics headset will last longer than the Microsoft set. I gave this headset 4 stars due to it's tighter than expected fit. All in all a better choice....so far.

This is my first bluetooth, and from my uses so far I am very happy. It sits comfortably in my ear, but the blue blinking light on the side is a bit annoying. I haven't had any bad experiences as far as hearing others or being heard, except for one time when I was talking in my car to someone on their bluetooth in their car, and it there was a great deal of noise. Otherwise, no "tunnel" experiences or other problems.

No peace of mind........2007-07-11

I'd give this 2 stars but I figured that since I still use it, it deserved at least 3.

It's supposed to hold the Voyager 510 headset but it sorta fails to do so. There's no real instructions or demonstration on HOW the headset is supposed to fit in there. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and have discovered my way to use it and it works for me. You gotta first of all turn the headset in the right position (kinad in an S shape). You stick it in microphone first and push on the top where the charger inserts until the microphone sorta pokes out the bottom. Then it stays in.

But there are still many downsides to this. If you don't have it in right (or like I have it above) it'll have the tendency to spring right out of the carrying case. Makes it handy if you want it to come out, makes it annoying the rest of the time. I've dropped my Voyager 510 countless times because of this carrying case, until I found the right way to put it in. Still, there's no example of even how to figure that out. It doesn't go in any other way very well and is otherwise pretty inconvenient to use, especially while seated. I'm an IT person that moves around a whole lot, and so having this headset is vital for me, and i love the Voyager 510. But this carrying case does not deliver. The clip is VERY tight on a belt and doesn't readjust. It's more likely to come off the belt completely. And if you attempt to adjust it, you're also probably just going to knock the headset out of the case. It will rotate as well. Also note, it's stiff to begin with, DO NOT STRETCH IT OUT.

Other uses I've found for it: it'll carry two regularly used flash drives very well and secure, it holds my ipod cuz my ipod case broke. I can fit SODIMMs into it, some sticks of gum and a wad of tissue holds well. IE, I do not recommend this product. I don't know of others out there or else I'd probably give them a try, haven't really looked. I've managed to use this but I don't have a peace of mind knowing that my headset's not going to pop out.

I purchased 2 of these cases for myself and a friend. When they arrived, I opened one and tried to place the headset inside it. It does not fit well at all and you must fold it up to get it in at all. This means unfolding it again each time you want to use it - not a big deal but a time waster. In addition, the fit is so tight that it will only take a very short amount of time before the foam cover over the ear insert will abrade away. Very poor design. It appears to be a case that is not designed for this phone but just has a sticker put over the generic name to say that it's for the 510. Additionally, it's not really a case - it's just a holster. I returned both cases and would suggest anyone else not buy them.

I'm not sure if the directions mention this but the microphone does not do well outside on windy days. Common sense, right?

I do love it. I previously had an over-the-head type. It got tangled up in my hair all the time. I was looking for something strictly earpiece.

I bought this for our Uniden DCT646-3 cordless phone set. It works great on my phone. I know it looks weird. In fact, my DH said it looked uncomfortable. Not at all. It does take a little getting used to (not much). The getting used to part is getting it in place, not wearing it.

It looks as though it would be tight, but it's not. You don't even know it's there. The only problem I have with this earphone - If I am wearing earrings, it takes me two phone rings to get it situated in my ear so I can answer the phone.

I can hear quite well through this headset, and my callers can hear me quite well. The little boom does a 180 degree turn, so it is left as well as right oriented. It is small, attractive, and easy to store. I have a tiny hook on the side of my monitor for mine.

I give this headset an extra star for being fairly comfortable to wear. The volume is good too...if it's working.

Like some other reviewers have mentioned, this headset's mic is prone to dying out of the blue, which is exactly what happened to mine. So you're having your usual conversation, and all of a sudden the other person can no longer hear you.

I will be buying a replacement headset for my Plantronics phone, but definitely not another of this model. If you do buy this, it might be a good idea to have a replacement ready because it's a huge hassle to have to run off to Radio Shack when your headset dies in the middle of a business call!

Pretty lousy headset.......2007-06-12

I own 3 different headsets for my mobile phone. this by far is the worst and is now somewhere on the floor of my car forgotten but not missed. It is hard to clip it on the ear lobe, and the whole think feels quite flimsy, the mouth piece swings around on its own accord, and the sound quality not so good (i have a convertible and so they need to be quite good to overcome the wind sound maybe they'll work better elsewhere). I have 2 others that work well, of which one is the traditional blackberry headphones that come standard with new blackberry device. they don't look as good but they work better.

Plantronics is the Best........2007-09-04

This is my second Plantronics bluetooth headset, and it is the best yet. I bought this for the ability to charge in my car and/or computer thru USB. The in car and USB power supplies also work with my slightly older Plantronics 510 unit. I found I like the newer Plantronics 350 better than the 510. The 350 is more compact, feels lighter on the ear, and the -One Button- does all feaure makes it easier to use. The 510 is still an excellent unit, I had no problems with it, however, Plantronics improved on a great thing by making the 350. I sold my Plantronics 510 to a good friend who loves it. Everybody is happy with Plantronics. Buy Plantronics.

This is my first BT headset.
Good: Contrary to some "official" reviews such as CNET, it is very comfortable for me. The car kit is very convenient, I leave my headset in it overnight, so it is always charged - thus the absence of AC adapter is not a problem for me. Excellent sound. Relatively cheap.
Less good: It's not the smallest headset available, so if looking like an alien is a concern there are better (more expensive) options.
General comment regarding BT headsets - how come you can't turn off the blue blinking light? When driving at night with this particular headset in its cradle you get a strong glaring blink that is very annoying

Good Performer - Top of the Middle Range.......2007-08-03

Although the Plantronics Explorer 350 is my first bluetooth device, my cousin has an Explorer 330. The 350 is substantially better - less strange, garbled background swirling noise while driving at highway speeds. Both tend to transmit that strange noise if the pavement is rough under the tires or if the car cabin is noisy. We both got these devices to use in the car, and they serve their purpose admirably. When the phone rings, you can easily put the device in your ear and answer the call - no fumbling with dangling, tangled wires, and you can keep your attention on the road where it belongs. The 350 comes with both a car charger and home charger. Note that you're not supposed to use the 350 while it is charging. And note that the home charger doesn't plug into the wall; it plugs into a USB port, which means you charge it from your laptop or desktop PC. I got the 350 because I wanted one with a car charger, but now I wish I had gotten the Plantronics Voyager 510. The charge holds plenty long on the 350 (about 3 weeks now using it intermittently), and if the 510 holds its charge that long, then it would suit me better. Its noise cancellation feature would hopefully eliminate that strange background swirling noise that the 350 sometimes transmits to your listener. Besides, you could use the 510 on your home or office phone, too. Having said that, the 350 works pretty well. Once you situate it correctly in your ear, you can hear your caller just fine. The voice-activated feature works great with my voice-activated phone. Again, I don't have to look at the phone to make a voice-activated call. Works great for the car, and I'm using it more and more around the house. I like not having to hold the phone to my ear. This is third different Plantronics bluetooth ear piece and they all were very thinty. However, this one died very quickly. I am not satisfied with this product nor Amazon. All the ear pieces that I purchased online seem to be defective units. I would recommend purchasing at a store.

The product works great. I am pleased with the sound and the transmission distance from my phone. I can work around the office, multi task and take care of business on the phone. The product was confusing to purchase. You have the system picture and you call it bundle purchase. Below this you have the lifter. I clicked on the lifter also because I think that is how the bundle works if you purchase it also. When I receive the shipment, the lifter is a separte purchase (this is not clear) from the bundle offer. Now it is a hastle to send it back and get my refund. Money is taken out of the original price for shipping (I paid my own shipping and used my sources). So what I originally purchase is credited less money. All because the store is not marketed so it is easy to understand.

The audio quality, range and utlity of this product are excellent. I use it on all my calls and have the freedom to roam my office 1) for needed resources relevant to the call I am on, and 2)so I am not handcuffed all day to a chair. I spend a considerable amount of my day on the phone and this makes it much more productive and comfortable.
