Uniden TRU-4465 Phone is OK!.......2006-03-21

I bought this phone a couple years ago. Replaced one battery on one handset only because my daughter insisted on using it across the street at the laundry matt. She was warned not to because it would kill the battery too fast. It has good range too. I am able to travel approximately a 4 minute walk to the store and still receive a connection and make/receive calls. I reccomend it.

Breaks easily and the WORST customer service.......2004-06-17

Had to send the base unit back TWICE due to it not charging the handset. Was able to send it back after many, many phone calls and explanations to the rep. Have had this phone for less than one year and already hate it for it's unreliability and lack of functions.

WORST customer service I've ever encountered. Well, except for Dell, but that's another review.

I recommend the Panasonic MultiTalk. It costs a little more but worth it.

using it as a speakerphone didn't work.......2004-03-12

The handsets for this worked great but the mic for the speakerphone was under the machine so to get it to pick up my voice at all I had to lift it up and talk into it. Since this kind of defeats the purpose of a speakerphone, I had to return it. I'm bummed - it worked great otherwise.

Still The Best After A Year.......2004-02-25

I have been using this product for about a year now (since April 2003) and it is literally the happiest I have ever been with a retail cordless phone system. I telecommute and I am on the phone constantly with work and clients, to say nothing of family and friends. Despite 5+ hours a day of talk time, these phones never seem to lose their charge or their clarity. The only problem I have with clarity is if someone is running the microwave oven, otherwise the connection is always crisp. The separate stored numbers allow me to have one phone with all my personal information on it, and my roommate to have a separate one. Other reviewers have cited this as a flaw, but anyone living with a teenager or roommate will see it as a blessing. Others have stated that it's a flaw that both phones cannot be on at the same time. As a telecommuter I am grateful for this feature; when I am on a business call there are no unprofessional interruptions made by someone in another part of the house accidentally picking up the phone to make a call while I am speaking on the other handset. The additional handset plugs into a regular outlet - so it provides a great way to have a phone in a room where there isn't a phone jack. The only reason I might have given this a 4 ½ star had it been an option would have been the following reasons:

1. I have a minor hearing problem and I'm sensitive to volume levels. The loudest setting of this phone is what is closer to the medium setting of most other phones. I would like to see a future model offer one or two more amplified levels of volume. The clarity of this phone, however, lets it get away with this much more than the average phone could.

2. I have not, as of yet, found a headset that works well with this phone. This makes it mildly inconvenient for telecommuters like myself. Playtronics headsets work okay, but it's not a stellar match-up. The saving grace is that the speakerphone is very clear, but many clients don't like being on speaker phones.

Overall I am very happy with this little system and have not encountered any concerns in performance or usability over the course of a year. Some of the buttons are small, but in a month or so of using the phone, your hands will instinctively find the right spots, and it's worth it to have an overall compact phone that maintains clarity.

This is a great phone, especially if used across 2 floors. The base unit in the basement can easily be used with the handset unit placed in the upstairs. Calls are clear, but sometimes there is a "tunneling" effect, which is hardly noticible. the costomizable features of this phone are great, along with the phone book, caller id featers etc. buy it if you're looking for a phone that can be placed elsewhere in the house where a phone jack is unavailable!

The buttons quit working after a short while. I took the phones apart, and cleaned the contacts. That worked for a short while, but they quit again.

We have had the unit for about one year. We mostly use the handheld unit located in our kitchen. The phone comes with 3 handheld units. We have rotated through all 3 units in our kitchen and are now on our last handheld unit because you cannot dial from the other 2 anymore. No matter how hard you push on the button, they will not dial anymore. We are now, after only 1 year, in the process of buying a new phone. Each handset would only dial for about 3-4 months and then break completely. Horrible Horrible aweful product!!!!!

We bought an old house with only one (can you believe it) phone jack. The remote handsets don't need phone jacks, just the cradles to recharge them. I love this phone. The only problem I've had is that the number buttons on the main unit started to wear out so I just switched it with another unit. I have neighbors in all directions and our baby monitors interfere with each other all the time but have never had a problem with our phones. I checked since I don't want every hearing my phone conversations. It was also the best priced unit of it's kind on the market at the time.

Features & range are good, but the handsets occasionally lose connection with the base unit. Very annoying to miss words during phone conversations. Phone is OK for casual use, but not 100% reliable. AT&T helpdesk blames interference from neighbors' 2.4 GHZ devices. What am I supposed to do? ask my neighbors to shut off their wireless equipment? DON'T BUY.

Worthless.......2005-12-04

This is my second panasonic dvd player. The first one started freezing after about a year of consistant use. Well, needless to say, I didn't learn from my mistakes. I bought this model and after about a year it froze. I have tried cleaning them both with a dvd/cd player cleaning disc. Neither dvd player will even read the disc. I held on to the other one just in case. I just threw both of them in the garbage. I will not buy anything panasonic again!

This dvd really didn't have anything special on it either. It played discs fine until it died! There isn't a big display screen; it isn't fancy at all. For the price of something like this, you can find a better model, make, and quality at a cheaper price. This thing is useless.

mine's dead.......2005-05-02

had this model for about 16 months, it was nice... now it can't seem to find its place in the disk... its spins and whirs and jumps around the disk like a monkey... then plays 10 seconds of the video and does it all again. I've tried many disks, cleaning the lens, etc... its headed for the dumpster

For all this money, this unit is nothing special, It don't play SVCD or VCD movies.These are movies usually burned to CD-r discs. from a home computer.

I received this S25 for father's day. It played well for about 3 mo.Then it started freezing (error U11) which says disc is dirty.Cleaned it...samr thing happened. Tried all my DVD's and apparantly they are all dirty. Panasonic won't help me. Some people have advised me to use the CD cleaner to clean the lenses.I have never received H02 or any H errors. I bought this dvd player about 2 months ago and its been working good so far. I played about 10 dvd's and few MP3 discs in it till now. And I never had any problem. I can't comment on recommending this product to others yet because I myself didnot use it much so far.But for the price$56 its best compatible one with my Sharp TV so far.
