Sony radio.......2007-09-18
Great little radio. Good reception and easy to use functions. Only thing Sony could have done is include the AC adaptor.
Sony Portable Radio.......2007-09-15
I received the radio within two or three days and it does everything I need. It was easy to program and I'm glad I purchased the Sony.
Great Bargain!.......2007-09-14
This is a really nice radio for taking to sporting events, camping, fishing or anywhere. It has a great tuner and a very sensitive receiver. I like the features it has, and it is a bargain price too. Even better, it's a Sony!
portable radio.......2007-09-14
I like the attractive appearance and color; also, the ease of selection of bands and stations. I carry the radio around the house w/ me, so low battery drain is very important. This radio is a very good value!!
Works great where there is good reception.......2007-09-12
I actually got this radio to take up camping/archery hunting to try to listen to the Bronco game and maybe some weather. We were only about 75 miles from Denver (granted, through some rough country and a lot of mountains). The reception was ho-hum. Weather channels did not exist (do they ever??). I could get 850 KOA if we pointed the antenna JUST right and nobody moved around.
Battery life seems good but I wish I could get blasted AM over 75 miles (they advertise that they're 50k watts for crying out loud!)

Nice little radio.......2007-09-10
I needed something that was small and inexpensive to toss into my travel bag and have an alternative to the TV/cable in hotel rooms, etc.. This little guy is just the ticket. Sound is reasonable, reception has not been a problem in AM or FM tuning. For around ten bucks, you can't go wrong.
Great Little Radio.......2007-08-29
Better reception then any digitally tuned radio I've owned. Can't beat it for the money.
VERY GOOD FOR AM.......2007-08-29
If you want a good little radio to listen to the ball game or AM talkers look no further than here. but note that the headphone jack is mono.
Sound OK Basic Radio.......2007-08-04
This is a good basic radio. Sound is only fair and having to turn the volume control off to shut of radio off is a pain. Would love to see an electronic instead of the manual station selector.
Great radio!.......2007-07-23
This is a great little radio! I use it mainly when I'm working around the house to get my talk radio fix, but it would be an excellent travel companion as well. Most hotels have those low budget, crummy clock radios that sound terrible, so this would be a welcome addition for a traveler.
The sound quality in both AM and FM modes is nice and clear, and the antenna is fantastic for pulling in some of the distant stations. We have a semi-pro baseball team here, and I'm looking forward to taking in a game and listening to the broadcast. It's also good for taking in a Cubs or Tigers game on a lazy afternoon.
One tiny downside is the antenna. Use care the first few times you unfold it as the hinge is a little stiff. A small drop of liquid hand soap on the hinge works wonders to free it up, and it won't hurt the plastic finish.
Two thumbs up for this one!

Worth the price.......2007-09-11
I bought this for the purpose of listening to my favorite radio station while on the train to commute to work. For $14.99, it's definitely worth the price. The reception in the Chicagoland area is decent with minor static here and there. It's light and uses a single AA battery. I've used the walkman for the past 3 weeks for about 2-3 hrs 5 days a week and am still on the 1st battery. If you like to switch stations often, this is not for you if you don't want to manually find them; there are no presets. The headphones do stink. I threw them away and use one from my old iPod shuffle.
Repeat buyer!!!.......2007-09-09
I first bought this radio in 2004. I was amazed what a great little radio this is. Now, I just purchased 2 more.........just to be on the safe side if the radio is ever discontinued. The quality of the radio and the music it puts out is just as amazing today as it was 3 years ago. The radio is very lightweight. Uses just 1 "AA" battery that lasts almost forever. Actually, it seems I hear more nuances in the music with this radio than the one I bought 3 years ago. Maybe they upgraded the radio or headphones. The AM is equally as impressive as the FM stereo!
srf 59.......2007-08-05
Works well but I would like a better up graded product. I know it would cost more but I am willing to pay. This one is great but I want more up scale
excellent product!.......2007-07-14
This walkman is everything I hoped it would be. It gets most the stations, and is perfect for cutting the grass.
Sony SRF-59 FM/AM Radio.......2007-07-08
The FM/AM radio has very good selectivity, very good sensitivity, and very good sound quality. If all you want is an FM/AM radio, this is at least as good as, probably better than, the other Walkman Products which also have a cassette player.

Customer Reviews:
Great CD stereo clock radio BUT.......2007-09-12
This is the third Sony CD clock radio I've had and it sounds fine. Only problem is the display. It's gigantic and no longer let's you know if the CD is playing - (doing the low points on the disc when you wonder if you should turn it back on.)
Otherwise, no problems.
not-so dream machine.......2007-09-11
Great product, but it missed the most obvious thing after telling the time and waking you up........ the damn battery back up...whats the point of a clock that cant wake you up if the power has gone out.
other then that. good audio. good interface.
Glad I chose this alarm clock!.......2007-09-08
This Sony CD player/alarm clock seems to be a great product so far. I got it for my 7 year old daughter and she has had no trouble operating the unit (I set the alarm for her). Again, the main drawback is the lack of battery back up but other than that I love it. I don't mind that the tuner is analog since digital tuners may skip over low signal stations. I love the Sony quality sound in such a multi purpose application! My main problem now is listening to her single Disney CD over and over and over.... I guess I will have to do more shopping!!
Perfect for a small space.......2007-08-24
Great little clock radio/cd player with dual alarm. Easy to use and has a good sound quality. Finding the tuner was a bit difficult, since it's on the side. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
Working Well.......2007-08-14
this little clock radio is easy to use and I very much like the way each cd is `inserted'. (fewer parts to break)
It is slightly difficult to work out the radio stations and each of their positions- but other then that, the sound is excellent and I am glad I bought this little radio! I also like the really BIG, easily seen numbers for the time.

Customer Reviews:
Best little radio, I've used. Good reception. Good volume. .......2007-09-17
It easy to operate. For those that wrote complaints that it was too easy to turn on by bumping the button, and then when you need it the batteries are dead. LOCK it. After draining a battery or 2. I learned to Lock it when I was done, that way there were no surprises when I needed it. I lock it when I'm working so I the station won't change accidentally, so I also lock it when I'm done.
I learned pretty quickly to operate it without looking.
I suppose the only complaint I have is that the headphones get pulled out periodically while working, and/or the belt clip gets bumped off (though it has been durable with many knocks and drops)
I'd give it 3 1/2 stars if I could
Sony Radio.......2007-09-13
works very well. I like the preset stations, and the battery is lasting just
fine, as long as it doesn't accidentally get turn on (the button is on the face).
Sony Wlalman.......2007-09-10
The previous Walkman I owed lasted 10 years with no problems and this one is a better quality in every way. Quality in construction and sound is outstanding.
perfect!.......2007-09-09
I was looking for something that could tune in to fm stations so I can listen to the tvs at my gym. I tried cheaper ones and ended up throwing them away. I haven't used the earphones that come with the radio as I have earbud headphones from Phillips. As far as the radio goes, the best things about this radio is the lock button so I don't accidentally change the channel, the six presets which I have each assigned to different tvs at the gym, the fact that it uses only 1 AAA battery and it lets you know how much battery is left. I'd say the only con is the clip which I have trouble clipping, but that's a minimal problem. This is exactly what I was looking for and it's perfect for me!
Great AM/FM/Weather and TV walkman.......2007-09-09
This walkman works great as most Sony products. It runs on 1 AAA battery for many hours. The sound quality is good and reception is great. The reception is comparable to a radio with a full antenna. I have used this unit for over a year and it is great. Even the headphones are very comfortable.

Outfitted with a jumbo 1.4-inch green LED display, variable brightness control, an analog AM/FM tuner--and yes, a big honkin' snooze bar--this handy companion is sure to get you going in the morning. Great CLOCK to see Day or Night -- Poor ALARM.......2007-08-30
I've owned this unit for two years, keep it on top of a dresser where I can see it from any place when I wake up in the middle of the night, and I love it. The huge green numbers are perfect to see without putting on my glasses. But, that's all I use it for. No other clock I've seen is better for visibility, but setting the alarms and the radio quality might as well never have been added to this device.
Worst Sony product in the history.......2007-08-26
Usually, I'm a big fan of Sony products but this time, if you are thinking to buy this, I suggest you to consider this first:
Do you want a clock-radio which forwards itselft 10 minutes every day?
Do you want a clock-radio with a big-almost-unreadable display?
Do you want a bad designed interface ?
Do you want a bad sounding radio ?
Do you want see how some segments bright more than others so you can't read the time?
Be my guest... buy this clock-radio.
ok easy to see time.......2007-08-08
not too bad a little gizmo, just wish these things did not have that stupid wire for an antenna..
buttons little too complicated.......2007-08-07
buttons litle too complicated to program, dual alarm programable , one with buzzer , other with music. does not allow dual alarm to be set both buzzer or both music. product looks great ,very good quality.
Worst Item on the Internet.......2007-08-03
This is one of worst item I ever purchased. Don't waste your money. The number displayed in not bright at all even in a low light room. This has to be the worst item on the internet. Don't buy. Don't buy. Don't buy.....

Customer Reviews:
Nice clock radio.......2007-09-16
It's a nice clock radio perfect for the people that wants to have different alarm settings for the whole week. It's very easy to set up.
Honey, did you set the alarm? . . ........2007-09-10
I bought the above Sony after having gone through two Timex Nature Sounds in about five years. The Timex had great features but poor reliability. From the description and reviews the Sony seemed comparable plus it had the added attraction of a nap timer. I also liked that you could set an alarm for weekdays and another for weekends. Imagine my surprise this past Saturday when I was awakened at my weekday time of 6:30 am! That's when I realized that there is no DATE display on this clock. This means you must remember to turn on the alarm on Sunday night and turn off the alarm on Friday night (for weekday-only alarm). Who needs that, especially when so many other clock radios in the same price range have the date feature.
DST button made me late for work!.......2007-08-24
I inadvertently pushed the DST button along with the snooze button this morning, effectively waking up at 7:00 am this morning, when it was actually 8:00 am - the time I'm supposed to be at work!
The dial is also hard to read, and the LCD backlight is a little too bright for me.
Otherwise i like the auto time set feature, the weekend button, and the 4 possible alarms is nice too.
Easiest dual-alarm clock ever.......2007-08-16
We've gone thru a few dual alarm clocks in the last several years, and this is by far the easiest-to-use one that I've ever seen. Changing the time for each alarm is very intuitive, as is turning each alarm on and off. I always had to set my wife's alarms for her because we've had some pretty confusing clocks, but she can manage this one with no problem. And since it constantly displays the current settings for each alarm, there's nothing left to chance. Highly recommended.
And to the previous reviewer, there is a "high" and "low" brightness switch. The "low" setting certainly doesn't bother me, I don't find it to be too bright.
The best Alarm Clock you should not buy..........2007-08-11
This alarm clock is jam packed with every feature you could ever want, it is easy to use and provides great visual feedback so you can go to sleep comfortable worry free that everything is set accurately, which would seem to make this a perfect alarm clock... save one terminal flaw, it is TOO BRIGHT!!!
There is no option to turn off the back-light on this machine only to make it a little less bright. Do not be fooled by when playing with it during the day, trust me when you turn off the lights and set this machine to DIM it will still light up a dark room and you will not sleep unless you put a shirt over the face of it.
If this clock had the option of turning off the back-light so only the LCD was lit it would be perfect, but it is not.
I almost found a good alarm clock. If you are like me and have not found anything, this one is the closest out there, but with one fatal flaw.

Good reception, but ..........................2007-08-04
I like the reception quality for this product, also the design for usage.
I do find it uncomfortable on my ears after a short while. Needs constant adjustment for short duration of no anoying pain.
Sony Sports AM/FM Radio headphones.......2007-07-22
lightweight, stays on during strenuous exercise, the analog tuning allows you to easily pick up stations (at the gym or while you're outside). This is the 2nd time I purchased this. The first pair was stolen.
.......2007-07-18
I WALK AT LEAST 2 MILES EVERY DAY FOR 9 YEARS AND FIND THE SONY SRF-H11 RADIO WALKMAN IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED... NO WIRES... GREAT RECEPTION... COMFORTABLE FIT OVER THE EARS..
Good Sound - Poor Tuning.......2007-07-09
Thought this would be a good unit for morning walks, unfortunately it is nearly impossible to tune to the station you want to receive. Because of the small size of the unit the tuning dial is extremely broad in its tuning capabilities. You spend endless time trying to adjust to the station that you want to hear. Once the station is found however, the sound is good. The unit is a little on the heavy side owing to the fact that so much electronics is packed into each ear phone.
Good product - Only two issues..........2007-07-07
Good reception, quality build, stay on well even during exercise.
Downsides...Hurt top of ears after wearing for more than 30 minutes. And tuning is not convenient. I would look for a digital tuner next time.

When first received, the ear plug receptical did not work. We phoned for return instructions. In a reasonable time the replacement arrived and it worked properly.Sony ICF-M410V Portable FM/AM/TV/Weather Radio with Sleep/Turn-on Timer You stand behind your products.
Not for AM listeners.......2007-09-06
I got this radio so that I could listen to AM talk-radio at work. The reception was simple not good. A much cheaper department store radio outperforms on AM reception.
That having been said, FM reception is good and the speaker quality is superb!
Fantastic.......2007-08-14
The 4 AA batteries last 20 to 40 hours thanks to it being analog instead of digital. For this reason, don't get a digital. We don't bother plugging it up and leave it on when we leave the house. I've bought 4 units. It picks up stations most other analog radios cannot, but it's not the best of the best because it's analog and not digital. After getting warm, the station drifts up a little bit and you have to adjust it a little to reduce static. Sound is really good for this size and it's loud enough for any common use. Style and appearance is very good. Bang for your buck is as good as it gets.
great radio for the price.......2007-08-06
I bought it for 24.99, and am very happy about it.
The weather channel is weak, but all other three channels have excellent reception. And the build of the machine is sturdy and ready for outdoor/garage use.
The speaker is fine with me, though someone may want a more crisp sound. It is very enviromentally friendly as far as battery life is concerned.
In general, if you want a portable (not pocket) radio with good reception and reasonable price, this is the one for you.
Sony AM/FM/TV.......2007-08-01
Really nice radio and receives TV the best ever. The only problem neither audio setting is very good....... Way too much bass on both settings.

Customer Reviews:
Great Service and Excellent product.......2007-09-03
I love this little but strong clock/CD/alarm/radio. It is beautiful! It has everything I need on it including the Napping alarm. I can set my alarm to wake up to a specific song on the CD or the radio. The snooze button is big so i can just tap on it when i'm sleeping. The numbers on are easy to read from far away. It is easy to use if you are used to electronics. The sound quality is so good for its compact size. Would I buy it again? YES! I would definitely buy this product again.
Almost perfect.......2007-08-14
My now-ancient Philips CD clock radio let me down, so I decided it was time to upgrade with more-modern technology. I still wanted to wake to CD sound rather than a radio station or normal alarm sounds, and after a short search, I found this Sony. It has some features that I really appreciate, which make this clock intuitive and useful. Specifically ...
1) There is a perpetual clock built in, so that after a power failure the clock has the correct time. My old clock had a 9V battery to keep the clock circuit energized, but it always ran fast (really fast) and needed to be reset after the power returned. This one works really well.
2) The CD track selection works every time. My older clock seemed to have a "mind of its own" when I set the wake-up track. I resigned to just letting it go on track 1, which would reliably repeat; just pick a CD with an acceptable first track. This Sony clock wakes me on whatever track I set it to every time.
3) The second alarm is a nice feature. I can easily set it to one of two different wake-up times with the press of a button (really it is two buttons). The out-going Philips clock had a more-arcane method of setting a second wake-up time. I don't think that I ever mastered it.
4) The sound quality is more than adequate. What I would expect out of the tiny 2-in speakers seems to be surpassed. Perhaps it is my imagination.
5) The generously sized snooze bar is easy to find in the morning. Although my Philips clock had a proximity sensor to detect my approaching hand, it seemed to have a very narrow field of regard, and I often had to wave my hand numerous times to get the alarm to stop. This Sony clock has the snooze bar located just above the table surface, so a groggy sliding hand can find it easily.
6) The addition of two alarm times on the main display help in seeing that the alarm is set and to what time. No button pushes are required to read the alarm time.
7) Oh yeah ... it is a pretty cool-looking clock with an easily loaded CD.
Now for the not-so-good part...
This clock uses blue LCD backlighting, which is very bright in a dark room, even at its lowest setting. It is so bright that I had to cover over the display to prevent it from lighting up my room. I found that cutting out a 2.5 x 5 piece of card stock makes a suitable display cover that prevents the night-time light pollution, but you also lose the time on the display. It works out OK in my bedroom, because we have a second perpetual-time clock with a less-obtrusive red LED display.
Overall, I would still give this clock a high mark, and I am happy using it. I would expect that someone with more light seeping in at night might not have the same objection to the display brightness that I have. Selectable display colors, where red is a choice, might be a solution for me.
Great CD / alarm clock.......2007-07-22
I saw this clock in a boutique hotel and enjoyed listening to a CD before falling asleep, so I bought one for me. I've been very pleased with it. You can adjust the brightness by tapping the snooze bar. The bright setting is very bright and makes a great night-light. It's one of the few CD alarms with a back-up battery. The CD player works fine. My only complaints or changes I'd make is that you can't program the alarm to go off mon-Fri (or any group of days) like my old alarm clock, so if you forget to turn off the alarm Friday night, you might be waking up sooner than you want Saturday morning. Also, you can't adjust the brightness while the alarm is going off since if shares the snooze button. Still, I'd highly recommend this CD/alarm clock.
satisfied with purchase.......2007-07-21
good sound quality for an alarm clock. convenient features like nap and large snooze button. only drawback is display is too bright even on the lowest of three settings.
Lots of tiny tiny buttons makes this hard to use.......2007-07-16
The control buttons on this are very small and very nearly identical to one another.
I find it irritating to have to search the very tiny text labels to figure out which one to push.
Great for people who like fussy-to-use devices.
I don't.
For those with difficulties reading small text the device is inappropriate.
