Like the TV but it is difficult to get the color and brightness adjusted to where it is acceptable. The remote should have a display key and one to return to the previous channel rather than have to push the numbers each time. The DVD works ok. If I had it to do over again, would look for a different make or model.

I am very pleased with the TV and DVD qualtiy. The ability to read photo cards is of little use as the quality is pretty low. Better to read the photo cards on your camera or computer.
The only really gripe is what others have mentioned - the sound is below average and you have to play the TV at fairly low volume to avoid distortion.
Otherwise it fits my needs for a good tuner and it takes up very little space.

Poor picture and sound quality.......2006-11-18

I bought this television/DVD player for my kitchen counter. I hooked it up and was immediatley disappointed in the picture quality. Despite both my husband I fiddling with the settings, the picture was never clear and appeared to have a lot of static. Additionally, the sound was very "warbally". All in all, this is not worth $180!

defective LCD displays.......2006-10-29

I recently purchased the Audiovox FPE1080 and found out of the box that one of the pixels was always on solid green. I returned the unit for another and on powering this unit on, a pixel was stuck on solid red. The LCD displays are defective in these units. I returned the unit for another make. If your looking for quality or quality control from this unit, look somewhere else.

Warning-- don't buy this item!.......2007-07-17

I purchased this tv/dvd combo for my office about 9 months ago because of it's small footprint size and flat screen and also because it had a built in dvd player. The compact size of this combo made it attractive and saved on space.

The problems that I have encountered with it include the following issues:

1) The tv has no external antenna and must therefore be hooked up to the cable in order to get any kind of television picture. I did know this when I purchased it, but this may be an issue for some shoppers.

2) The included remote control stopped working just after the 90 day warranty ran (what kind of warranty only lasts for 3 months?) The buttons on the remote will not advance the channel or the volume now.

3) The DVD player also broke after the warranty ran. I had only used it 3 times when it crashed. Now, all I get is a disc error message when I try to use it.

4) Audiovox customer service is of no assistance whatsoever-- they just confirmed that my set was indeed broken and that to get it fixed, I would need to send it in for repair-- along with $93.75 (I payed $169 for this unit...)I won't do this-- it's ridiculous. I will buy another more reliable brand before I pay to get this repaired.

This is unacceptable. I would not purchase this combo again.

Nice monitor - Great Price.......2003-04-02

Got it home, unpacked, plugged in, started the system and voila! instant recognition, no troubles, no hassles! Very crisp, clean image quality. OSD (On Screen Display) is fairly easy to use to make the few adjustments that were necessary.
For the cost, this is a great value, and if you can find one local, you can save the S&H! Sure, there's plenty of higher quality/higher priced models out there, but since the majority of system components are out-dated before you get them home, why bother? I imagine I'll be shopping for a 27"-32" monitor at this same price in a couple years, well ahead of the 3 year warranty it comes with. Hell, the monitor I just replaced (MAG 15") was bought the same month W95 was released!

spectacular action shots.......2002-08-28

Nothing but satisfaction and plenty of laughs in using this camera. It's easy to load, shoot and rewind, and the best thing is the focus is razor-sharp. I took over 90 frames over a weekend trip in the islands, and even in the shade (under a tree), the supersampler (mine is the limited edition orange Starfish) grabbed all the tree-swinging shots with no blurred frames. Otherwise, it has great clarity in the bright sunshine. Tested it out with 100, 200 and 400 film. Clarity was best of course, with nice saturated colour at 400, but the 100 and 200 were nothing to sneeze at either.

Only gripe is my hands are not fast enough - the ripcord action can be a bit of a nuisance if you've lost a shot by forgetting to pull it again after a quick snap. The camera changed between four people, and with a variety of poses, heights, with and without the funky viewfinder, managed to capture moments on film that would otherwise have been lost to still, posed photos. Things like water splashing, jumping, swinging all captured very easily even without the viewfinder, and from the hip (or belly).

Might be worth [less money]. A toy at best. Paint chipped off almost immediately. You'll go thru a lot of film trying to get this camera to work. Shabby craftsmanship.

5 stars for fun but...........2001-12-14

This is a silly toy and will delight pros and amateurs and kids but...Be careful! These things are very fragile. Don't expect it to last long. Speaking from years of experience with toy cameras, including this one, here's a few tips.

Use 800 ASA. There's no flash.
It works best in bright daylight with the 800 ASA.
Other film speeds work but the higher the speed, the more consistent your results will be.
It probably leaks light. Try one roll of 12 exposures to find out. If it leaks, tape it up with duct tape when you use it.
If it lasts a year, you're lucky!

I was a little reluctant in ordering this camera [...].
You must have some knowledge of basic camera operation, and this cute thing will be a real treat. Loading the film will be complicated for those who are not use to winding and catching manualy, if you take your time, go slow and you'll get it. After two times its a piece of cake. The camera is design to capture movement, so if your pointing to somthing stationary you'll get four shots(on one print) of the same thing, so use this for movement and you'll be astonished. [....] I would not recommend this camera for those under 12, unless they are knowedgeable on the basics of how a camera works. Its not a toy. [....] A very creative concept, get it and have fun.

I was so excited when I first got this and it worked fine for awhile. I'd have to turn it off and on by unplugging it to get the discs out. And it would often tell me that it couldn't read my discs (and these were store bought, high-end name brand movies). Finally I had to return it. Oh, and the instruction book was awful! Very poorly written and didn't make any sense. Do.Not.Buy.It.

Picture & Sound Great.......2004-05-15

My daughter presented me with this Koss DVD Player and seeing the price I became negative. Was I surprised. She hooked it up in a few minutes, the instructions were simple to follow and she loaded the new DVD into the player, it read the DVD and I was so delighted with the picture & sound featured on my 17" TV. I'm a senior citizen and not acquainted with technology of today and it was ideal for me. I also played a CD on the player and the sound was incredible. This was the best gift I have received other than jewelry when hubby was alive. Buy it, you will not be sorry.

DON'T BUY IT! I bought a KOSS DVD player and it broke in 6 months. I was told I was out of luck because the warranty is only 90 days. They do not do repairs. My only option is to buy a new one and wasn't even offered a discounted price for it. I have seen several complaints like mine about KOSS on the web. They make JUNK and they make it to last just to get past the warranty period and then it breaks. Oh, by the way I loved it until it broke.

Good DVD Player.......2003-08-22

The Koss KD250 works very well. Although it can't beat a $$$ panasonic dvd player in sound and video quality, it sure wins on price. Not only did it do everything as advertised, it also has some hidden features not advertised. Inside my box were instructions on how to unlock the region code restrictions and also how to enable VCD player mode. If your box did not include these instructions, just do a quick search on the web for DVD Hacks and you will have instructions soon enough.

Two players skip "bad" sections of new DVDs.......2003-01-12

I bought this DVD player as a cheap second system. The first DVD I tried played perfectly, but the second kept skipping sections with the message that it was skipping over bad spots. Since the DVD was new, had no scratches and played perfectly on other players I assumed the player was defective and traded it for an identical player. The new player worked with that DVD, but with the very next DVD the problems were back. I'm returning the second Koss player today and looking for another brand.
