I have a belkin router here at my home and needed another router for a family member and with out a doubt in my mind i chose Belkin. I use several Belkin products from Floppy drives to cat 5e cable up to my router and wouldnt think of using anything else.
Plus you can beat the warranty!!!!!

Good Router But Vulnerable.......2005-07-14

This is not a bad router for the price. It's packed with features, such as a virtual server, and restrictive web access settings. The user manual, while better than nothing, is rather sketchy in places. One problem with the router that appears to be a design flaw is that it does not stop "ping of death" attacks on the Internet, which have become much more prevalent of late. My recommendation is to purchase a more recent router with better firewall control options (This router has only "on" or "off"). That way you can be sure you will be fully protected.

Simple and easy to use.......2005-06-21

It was just plug and play for me on this router. I own two of them. Neither one has cause me any trouble. I am using Windows XP and have 4 computers networked together. This router worked like a charm right out of the box. I've read other reviews and the complaints. All I can say is I haven't had these issues myself.

Maybe it's the luck of the draw. I wasnt looking for anything fancy, and this router is exactly that. There are better routers available. As far as an inexpensive one that does the job this has worked fine for me.

I am the proud owner of three "F5D5230-4" routers, and I have one at home, one in my car, and one at the office. Setup was so easy, that I had everything running in five minutes. I docked it one star because the manual is incomprehensible to English-speaking people. Whenever people ask me what that fantastic looking little box is with all those wires, I just lean back in my chair and proudly say "this is the mother of all routers, it's the F5D5230-4".

Belkin's customer service leaves much to be desired........2003-12-28

My Belkin 4 Cable/DSL 4 Port Router never was a trouble-free device. It needed frequent resets and then seemed to cause one of our computers to start only in safe mode. Further investigation of the system revealed an over-heating power adapter. Unplugging the adapter fixed the non-starting computer and all three worked just fine when individually plugged into the cable modem. On December 6th, I wrote an email to Belkin because I wasn't able to find an identical adapter locally. Belkin replied they would email me again once my RMA was approved, but told me not to respond to their notice. After waiting what seemed to be an unreasonable time for the RMA, or further communication from Belkin, I wrote again, because only one computer was on line via the Cable modem. By December 26th, I had written three or four times with no response from Belkin.
When a relative came to visit with yet another computer, I relented and bought a Linksys router. The Belkin router remains inoperable when all that it needed was an adapter replacement or some other indication Belkin was aware of the problem with their product.

Oh Please, Motorola give me a break.......2006-02-20

This is rated up to 8 miles with just 1 watt of power, which is impossible. I have the Motorola Talkabout t6250 which also has 1 watt of power and is supposed to go up to 5 miles and it goes only 10 feet further than the frs .5 watt Talkabouts. The .5 watt frs only goes about .24 miles. Now they went from 5 miles to 8 miles with only 1 watt of power. COME ON MOTOROLA DO YOU THINK WE ARE STUPID. MORE POWER IS MORE DISTANCE.

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The EP Memory Mobile Storage 64MB Compact Flash CF Card, like most 64MB cards, will store on average 71 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 53 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 32 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 25 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 20 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

Fine until the zoom broke.......2004-05-04

My Nikon Lite Touch 140 was fine until the zoom broke shortly after the 1-year warranty expired. I take care of my camera, so it was not my fault. The $70 bill was disappointing. A little latter the cord snagged a corner and tore open a metal cover, so again I had it repaired at my expense.

I would never buy a nikon again.......2003-07-06

13 months after I purchased this camera, it froze up.
Would cost $147 to repair. The manuel suggest a new a battery,
which didnt do any good. Camera was never dropped or mis-
handled. When it was working it took great pictures. But 13
months!!!!

Good Camera.......2003-01-26

I bought this camera about two years ago whe it was first out .... However the cool design and quality photos have helped me not be upset with the purchase. I drove cross country and backpacked europe and never lost a picture do to the camera. I dropped it once from about four feet onto blacktop and no problems but a little nick and the sand from cannon beach has still not given me problems. This is a very good camera and i would recommend trying nikon out.

Had the camera for 6 months. Already has needed to be repaired twice. Repairs take over a month. Poor camera. Poor company.

What a disappointment.......2002-07-30

After owning an Olympus Stylus for 6 years, we decided to "upgrade" to the Nikon 140. Wow, were we surprised at the low quality. The camera ikons blinked inappropriately and the pictures came out worse than I ever imagined. The auto focus feature for up close photos looked like the people were hiding behind clouds.

We are now going to try the Minolta 160. They seem to have more features as well.

Best digital camera for the money.......2004-06-13

I can't say enough about how easy this camera is to use, the quality of photos or the small size. Before I bought my Kyocera Finecam, I shopped for weeks, looking in all the electronic stores for the best camera, at the best price. Either the camera was too large, or the LCD screen was too small. I was reading one of my computer magazines and they were advertising the Kyocera. I had never heard of it before and decided to look at their web site. After reading about it, I was sold. After using it for over one year, my pleasure has increased ten fold. I especially like the large 2.5 inch LCD screen on the rear of the camera. It is even clearer on a bright sunny day than my friends' cameras. After showing it to three of my friends, they bought one and are happy with it. I don't see how anyone could not be happy with the camera.
