Simply works........2006-09-28

I've worked with a number of 2-port Omnicubes at my office and at home and I have to say they work without any problems and they seem to be more reliable than Belkin's newer SOHO USB KVM switches. If your computers have PS/2 ports, this is the ideal KVM switch for you. I've used them with standard Dell PS/2 keyboards and the Microsoft Intellimouse and Wheel Mouse Optical and I have had no problems with it.

Over Priced...sketchy on picking up mouse on switch over.......2004-03-18

I've been using the 2 port Belkin for about 6 months at work, it never switches between the two systems properly. We have several where I work, and we constantly have to switch back and forth to get this to pick up the mouse correctly, or reset the keyboard properly.
I also use TRENDMicro KVM's which I've never had issues with.
Save some frustration and money, buy a better product.

Great Product! Easy to use and built to last..........2004-11-26

I own and have used this KVM for years and it's great! The thing is built rock-solid so it's survived its share of moves and drops. Even if you only have 2 machines, it's nice to have 4 ports in case you want to hook up another machine to troubleshoot or whatnot.

Switching between the 4 ports is also nice and convenient, because in addition to the front-mounted button, you can also just tap the Scroll Lock key twice, followed by the port number 1-4, or the up/down arrows to switch between your machines.

I've used it with various versions of Windows as well as a various Linux distros and have had no issues.

Overall, this thing has been awesome and I'd recommend it to anyone.

My only complaint is that it can only emulate a standard keyboard and Intellimouse-type mouse, but this is a general issue with most all KVMs and probably more due to keyboard and mouse manufacturers not allowing KVM manufacturers to emulate their products.

So if you're new to KVM's, be aware that if you have a fancy keyboard with tons of extra multimedia buttons or you have the latest greatest gaming mouse with tons of extra side buttons, you'll most likely lose that functionality when you plug it into a KVM switch, unless you switch your drivers back to a standard generic mouse/keyboard.

The Belkin OmniCube KVM 4-port switch is a users dream when working with more than one computer at a time. It takes away from the multiple monitors and lets you move from computer to computer easily and efficient. I recommend this product to any user that uses multiple PC's at once. Great product.

Recharge wherever you go, wherever you are........2005-04-12

Many Nikons use this Battery, and need this charger. Why? Because real life does not wait for a fully charged battery and Photographing it is rarely something that follows a plan.

I know, you bought your Cam so you could take all your photos, only at home right? You always planned to recharge the battery after each time you use the camera, even just a little Right? You bought an extra Battery, so that should get you by till you get home, Right? Travelling? Oh I can recharge when I get back to my room, Right?

If you have this Auto Recharger, and at least 2 Batteries, you should be charged and ready. Anytime, anywhere. Works as advertised, plug and play.

A must have for road trips with your coolpix.......2004-07-27

Back in 2003 my wife and I took a road trip from Michigan to Yellowstone National Park a round trip of over 3000 miles. We brought along our conventional Nikon N90 and our new Nikon coolpix 5700 digital. We wanted to put the 5700 through its paces; well one thing we found out pretty early on was that the battery power is an issue with the 5700 it wouldn't last a reasonable day worth of photographs. Since we where driving a lot the only chance we had to charge the battery was when ever we stopped for the night or on rest stops, not an efficient nor practical way to charge the battery.

It came to a head when the battery died just before the main eruption of old faithful in Yellowstone National Park with no way to recharge the battery till we got to our hotel in Cody and that was hours away...

The first thing we did when we got back from our trip was to buy the Nikon MH-53C Car Charger and an extra battery.

On our next trip we kept the spare battery charging while we took the pictures then swap them out when needed. Well worth buying this for road trips, it takes about 2 hours to charge the battery and you can charge it while your driving form place to place.

Excellent speakers, a perfect dormroom solution!.......2004-11-28

I bought these speakers recently to replace the telephone-quality speakers that were occupying my desk and mutilating my music. A friend of mine recommended anything by Logitech, and needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. I've compared these to the full-fledged four speaker models and only in the most strenuous of circumstances do they differ.

The speakers are attractive and easy to set up. The subwoofer can be hidden under a desk out of the way without any decline in sound quality. The tweeters can be mounted on any wall using a single thumbtack.

No complaints at all after a month of use. These are perfect for a small scale setup but will easily fill an entire room with rich, well produced sound. Highly recommended.

This is a dual-conversion receiver, meaning it passes the incoming signals through two intermediate stages to eliminate interference and more precisely select its incoming channels. It has five tuning methods: direct frequency input, auto scan, manual scan, memory recall, and rotary dial. The ATS-818ACS has 45 memory presets to help you hop to favorite stations in a jiffy. The receiver's output power is 800 mW, and it uses a single 3-inch, 4-ohm speaker.

For operating power, the unit needs four D batteries with an optional three AA batteries for backup. An AC adapter is included. Other features include a radio/buzzer clock alarm, a wide/narrow filter for AM radio, an adjustable sleep timer, RF gain control, a tone control with safety lock, a signal strength and battery indicator, and dual time display for local time and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). I have the Radio Shack version (DX-392) of the same radio but has since been discontinued. It is relabled by Sangean for Radio Shack.

It has good shortwave, AM, and FM reception. I use the cassette player to record some late night radio programs that I can listen on my commute to work.

My only complaint is that the radio is kind of large and heavy so it is not a radio that you will take very far. However, it has a nice big speaker that gives good sound.

If you get this radio and use it mostly as a desktop, I recommend that you get a 6 Volt power supply with this unit to save on batteries. You can search the Radio Shack website for the DX-392 to see the owners manual.

Wish I have gotten it sooner........2003-06-04

I received my Sangean ATS-818ACS AM/FM/SW Receiver from Amazon.com in two days with the book Passport to World Band Radio, 2003 which is a must for anyone just starting out like me. In virtually five minutes I picked up the BBC and a broadcast from China. This is unquestionably the best radio I ever owned. I recently moved to a heavy populated district that is enclosed by trees so it has been difficult to tune in all the stations in my FM listening zone with my conventional radios. I tried XM Satellite radio but although they pride themselves with their 100 channels of variety after awhile I felt like I was being programmed by another conglomerate like Clear Channel plus there is a monthly fee to continue XM. With my Sangean I can receive at least 50 times more stations then XM and a better variety of music, news and different opinions from around the globe. I am new to the world of Short Wave and even if I don't use it often for the price I paid and the fact that I can get all my FM Stations to come in clear makes it worth the money. Since short wave has endless possibilities my next purchase will probably be the Grundig 800 Millennium or a model by Drake. If Amazon has the Sangean ATS-818ACS on sale again pick it up it will lead you out The Matrix.

Enjoyable radio adventure.......2003-05-01

This radio was a replacement for a Thomas Radio. With Television being a medium that is starting to become mundane we were looking for a new form of entertainment. We decided to revert back to radio ( talk / Variety ) and this radio fit the bill. I am very pleased with the ease of use and the reception on the shortwave band ( I am a novice ). Contrary to some reviews I found the sound quality very good. The tape recorder is a plus if you have friends that doubt what you might have heard. Overall, this is a good value. One drawback was the owners manual. If you are a novice you,ll probably have to educate yourself to understand some of the terms.

Shortwave came up short.......2003-05-01

I bought the Sangean ATS-818ACS because it was recommended and because of its programmable cassette recorder. I was especially interested in listening to shortwave broadcasts for the first time and to recording AM/FM programs that I miss because I work nights. From Day 1, the radio was a pain to use. The manual was written in Taiwan by someone who could barely read and write English. Shortwave reception was dreadful, even after purchasing an outside antenna at Radio Shack. The programmable cassette recorder doesn't include a cut-off time, so the recorder runs until the tape ends, and you can only record one broadcast. Plus, the radio comes on every day at the programmed time until you reset a new time, then the radio comes on daily at that new time. The manual doesn't explain how to avoid that annoyance. ...
