Best deal for laser.......2007-09-14

I believe this is the best bang for a Laser Printer. Do not expect top quality prints. Compared to other Laser printers I had before I find that the prints are less quality, they are not as crisp; maybe its the resolution, I dont know, so compare it before making a decision. Also it is more loud than other printers, but well that might not be so important if it does the job. Happy so far for the cheap price.

Really don't want to waste time to comment this printer. Trash! returned it and they will charge me $32 for shipping. Do some research work and carefully evaluate your items before ordering from Amazon!

I'm giving it 3 stars provisionally, will revise if needed, based on my excellent experience with Brother printers, but my annoyance that they do not include a basic USB cable in the box (would have cost them about $1 extra, but will cost you $5-10 at least, and a bit of hassle).

You will need a USB 2.0 A/B cable (e.g., check out a Startech item that Amazon sells for about $6). You can use a parallel cable if you must, but USB should give you better performance in general, besides being easier to connect.

What a Pile.......2007-08-27

How did this thing get to 4 stars. Did anybody who bought this use it. I've had this one for about a year now and have hated it for the last 12 months. It will either jam the paper for real, tell you it has a paper jam with nothing stuck in it, or crinkle the paper so it will stand on edge. The print quality isn't anything to brag about either. I guess if you print one page a day you might be happy with this printer but if you print much at all stay away very far away!

Very Good, Basic Laser Printer for Home Office.......2007-08-23

I bought this printer to replace my HP Laserjet Series II that I purchased new in 1988. I doubt that I will get 19 years out of this one, however, it turns out to be a very good little basic monochrome printer. Having both the Centronics and the USB port for connectivity allowed me to replace it right in where the HP used to be on my wireless printserver without changing any of my "legacy" configuration or I could move it to a USB configuration if needed.

The time to print the first page can be a little long, but once this printer gets going it is reasonably quick. The first toner cartridge that came with the printer is still hanging in there pretty well with near daily use for about a month.

It can be a quite tricky lining up a manual feed page to go through square and straight. If I want a letter on letterhead to come out parallel to the edges of the page, I usually open the paper tray and let it go through the conventional path. Envelopes through the manual feed are just too crumpled by the time they feed through the entire paper feed path to the output bin. I've had no problem feeding through label stock or even the half-label/half-paper shipping labels provided by my shipping company.

I'm pretty happy with this - it's a considerable upgrade from the printer I'm replacing in terms of resolution and speed. However, I certainly don't have any illusions or expectations that this product is as durable as the behemoth tank that it replaced.

This is a great black and white laser printer!.......2007-06-14

This printer has done exceptionally well on all of the jobs I have had it do thus far. Printing is fast, I can leave it on all the time, and it was simple to network with my AirPort. This is also one of the few printers that actually comes with good Mac drivers for older systems and because of that, I was quite pleased. My only small gripe (which is more of a gripe to the entire printer industry) is the fact that they do not ship with a USB-A to USB-B adapter so you have to buy one or use your old zip drive's or camera's. All in all, for a black and white printer, it can't be beat in price or quality. Refurbished or not.

Great HD.......2007-06-15

This is my second LaCie and like the first ( a little 80GB) it works flawlessly with my PowerBook and iBook. I use it to back up both computers and have never had any read/write issues. It's quiet and looks cool too. LaCie will always be my first choice for external hard drives.

After 4 o 5 minutes without use this hard-drive sleep! lol it's not a big deal. Quality :: very good. by the way SASHA (the Top DJ) use this brand and me too!!!!

Good Drive, But if you carry it with you, some advice..........2007-02-11

I purchased this drive in January 2006. I carry it to work with me everyday and then back home again. Connecting it and disconnecting it twice a day. The hard drive was fine with this and worked great - quickly saved and opened my files directly from the drive. However, about November it started taking a long time to do so. One day a clicking started to happen eventually leading to my files disappearing and the hard drive just randomly disconnecting from my computer. I filed a claim on LaCie's website, come to find out I had been wrapping the cord around the drive in transport everyday and it weakened the cord at the top where it connects. Thus, the power supply was being weakened to get to the hard drive. Even though at this point my warranty was days old (1 year warranty is given), they sent me out new power cords for free. So all in all it is a great hard drive, just disconnect all your cords and wrap them separately from the unit. If you experience such "clicking", remember this reveiw. LaCie did stand behind their product, which is a big plus.

finaly a woofer I can afford!!! The sound is great. My neighbors are ganna file a complaint if I turn it up again in our garage. when I have it in our garage you can feel it 30 feet away on the sidewalk. I love this woofer. I got an enclosure for it and im afrade my house is ganna fall apart. I use it more for home audio cuz I cant touch our jeep. when I first looked at it I saw the magnet and was like WuttheF its small! but it dont make any difference. this thing hits hard and lasts.

Wow, with the money you save buying these, you can buy yourself an amp to go with. I bought two, they are awesome. THe only thing you are getting when you buy a big brand equivilant to these is the name, they are that good. I would highly recommend these if you want a quality budget subwoofer.
