Works great for VoIP but VPN is extremely slow.......2006-03-09

I bought this router to replace a desktop that I use as an internet router (cable internet) and to use to to put a Cisco VoIP gateway behind the router. For VoIP and general internet use, it works great but if you use VPN (L2TP in my case), the speed is excrutiatingly slow through this router. This is consistent with other users' experiences. When I put my desktop (which is an old and slow machine) back as the router, VPN speed is at least 20 times faster. This is after all my troubleshooting and I'm a networks engineer. If you need VPN, don't get this router.

JVC is the best choice if you want a stereo............2001-12-23

I just got this stereo system a few days ago. It takes about 10 minutes to hook up.I cut this thing on and the bass was incredible!The twin subwoofers will have your house shaking literally!I put the remote on top of the stereo but the force of the subwoofers and the bass knocked it off.The sound is excellent.It can get up to max sound and the music is never distorted.This stereo can be turned up to 15 and it is already loud!The volume goes all the way up to 30+!The flurescent display is also very eye-catching.If I could I'd give it 10 stars.I cut this thing up to about 16 or so then I walked outside. I could feel the bass and the windows were rattling.This stereo out performed a 300-watt Sony stereo my friend had.The twin subwoofers have quite a kick.This stereo is the best and I love it.

I think anybody who buys a wacom (intuos) knows what they buy, and why. All my high expectations are fulfilled. It works perfectly. The mouse is for both right and left-hand users, has too sharp angles and only has the basic buttons so its ergonomy is not great. This means as the only pointing device for some it is insufficient (but I already have two other on the same computer so for me no issue) The drivers and modification software is excelent. The additional software was for me of no importance and I don't think many people will buy it for that, since anyone who buys a product like this already has his own favourite software installed (for instance most will have a full version of Photoshop, as it is the reference)
Probably less important but still great are the superb looks of the device. It looks nice on pictures but in real with the led on it is even better. The materials used are good and construction is as solid as computer hadware can be.
All and all you really see how Wacom puts its own and user experience in its products and the ergonomy is fantastic... If Wacom only made a mouse modeled after the top models from Microsoft and Logitech as an option for their tablets it would be perfect.

if you really love blue and old software then...........2003-08-27

this product is for you. No one should be confused...this product is not the most current model from Wacom. The only reason why you would buy this product is if you are in love with the color blue and don't mind the older software. This product is bundled with Photoshop Elements 1.0 and Painter 1.01. Painter 1.01 is not compatible with OSX. In contrast to customer reviews, Photoshop Elements 2.0 has NEVER been bundled with this model. If you want the more current software Wacom offers with the 6X8 tablet (which DOES include Photoshop Elements 2.0 and a newer version of Painter, which is OSX compatible) then buy the newer model (XD68USBPLAT). It is gray. I was told by a Wacom rep that the only difference between the two tablets is the color. The tablet itself seems to be a great product. Again, no one should ever be confused about what they think they are buying. Hope this helps.

Artist must-have tool.......2003-07-11

Wacom rocks when it comes to any kind of tablet, but this is far better than the Graphire we used to use. It does cost a lot, but it is by far the best tablet on the market that you can get. We previously had the Graphire 4x5 and this was a nice replacement. We are happy with the size. It is more realistic as far as scale compared to your monitor output. I think the 4x5 was nice, but it seemed like it was hard for me to get used to how little you could move the pen and how far it would really travel on the screen. This one has a nice grip on the pen that is comfortable. We don't use the mouse, but I noticed someone said that it was uncomfortable because it was squared off with hard edges. That is true. I can tell the difference with the many more pressures. If you are thinking of getting a cheaper version from another company, don't do it unless you aren't really serious about realistic drawing. It came with extra pen tips which was nice. I have learned that saving money is great, but there are some things (for example:anything dealing with computers or electronics)that you truly get what you pay for. I have never heard of a great high-tech tool that is cheap and reliable. This one has a much longer warranty than their previous products. The color is nice, too. It's sleek looking and very stylish.

great tablet, unsatisfied with the mouse.......2003-03-20

I was so excited when I received the tablet. Although it is quite expensive,it is a must-have tool for any digital artist. I used the graphire(512 levels of pressure) before, however I don't feel much difference with Intuos2 (1024 levels).

The included software is great. The driver setup is also excellent. It allows you to set the button to perform different functions in different program.

The pen is also very comfortable to use. It came with few spare pen tips too. But the mouse is disappointing. The hard side edges is not comfortable to use. It is not as smooth as using an ordinary mouse.

I will give 5 stars if it have a better mouse and ... cheaper.
