I gave up on printing photo's from my own printer because it was so much cheaper to just go to Costco with a memory card and print on their "2million" dollar machine.

This DVD player is great for those who want a basic player without spending a lot of cash. The only major drawback is the fact that it will not play DVD's that were created by an average DVD writer. If you only want to use it with "store-bought" DVDs, it is fine. If you are planning on borrowing DVDs from someone who burns them themselves, you are out of luck. Notice on the feature list: Does not play DVD-R discs

IT SUCKS.......2001-08-06

This is a piece of junk. I bought it becuase it seemed like a good deal. I got it and everything worked fine at first , the load times were a little slow. Then after about a month and a half it wouldn't play any discs anymore. And I hardly used it because I was just starting up my collection. Now ... won't take it back because it broke down after the 30 day time limit so I have to try and deal with the warranty company. Steer clear of this product. I'd suggest investing the money in a decent player, it may cost a little more but chances are it won't break down like this one has for me.

The Philips 710AT DVD player is a real bargain. Easy to use remote control. Great video quality using S-video connection. Hooked it up to my stereo and am impressed by the audio sound. Glad I did not pay ... more for a Toshiba or Panasonic brand DVD player. This Philips DVD player is a winner in my household.

Read reviews that said this player was slow to load, but I disagree. By the time I put the DVD in, pushed play, and walked back to my sofa, the video was cranking up. How much faster do you really need it to be?

What is that noise?.......2001-06-20

Great price, but why does it make that noise? It would be great if the noise was actually the audio from the DVD, but it isnt. The noise this thing makes from spinning the DVD overpowers the audio completely. It also takes a long time to load and the display is very primitive looking. You DO get what you pay for.

If you have never had a DVD before this is a great starter. It hooks right up to your surround system and the sound and picture quality are great for this price. I am very satisfied.
