This has got to be one of best best cd players I've owned!
Yes,it may look simular to the Memorex model with it's buttons in a circle and simular playback but it much better.
I've had this player for almost 4 weeks,and in that time it's been a wonderfull experiance.I love the idea that I can carry all of my favorite cd's from my huge collection on one little disc!
It's VSF is better then most cd players with MP3 playback.At 120 sec,it's virtual skip proof like it says!
When playing a regular cd it plays faster then with a mp3cd.The only thing that I dislike is that you have to have alot of batteries on hand because it eats them like candy!
And just like the Memorex,it takes awhile for the mp3 chip to reconize disc.If you wanna make your friends jealous,this is the player to do it.My friends couldn't believe MTV made a cd player.I am very happy with this player,it has played very well.
To anyone reading this and thinking of buying one....JUST DO IT you'll love it.

As the description says, this unit reads and writes almost every known format of CD and DVD. It comes with Toast which is an excellent and easy-to-use burner application. By purchasing this unit you can add DVD capability to an older Mac or speed up your disk burning (the drives that come in Apple laptops and minis are kinda slow). It runs quietly and does a good job. We just got this system for Christmas and we are impressed. It is going to replace both our clock/radio and our stereo in the bedroom. So far, it does everything we want, and has features that are not listed in the description. Those features are: a full function remote control, timer and sleep timer. The timer works just like an alarm, but it only 'wakes to music' not a beep or buzz.
Some negatives - we lay our unit horizontal. We couldn't see the clock when it was vertical. Also, the button labels are in an a red. I would prefer a less bright color.

after some serious shopping and returning a pioneer micro,jvc came out on top.the sound is great,the highs,lows,and the sub is just right .Its nice to see jvc have a pause button on the remote,others don't.nifty color changing mood lights,you can turn them off if you like.A great system for a good size room that doesn't just make noise.There's nothing I didn't like about this system.
