Fast, accurate, and flexible, Rebel Ti's three autofocus systems (the camera chooses the best one automatically) free you to concentrate on your composition and to just have fun. The glare-free laser matte viewfinder displays seven wide-area focusing points, which are clearly superimposed to guide composition. You can rely on Rebel Ti's automatic exposure system for professional results, but the camera's special exposure controls give you lots of room for experimentation. With the camera's multiple exposure control, you can place up to nine images in a single frame for impressive surrealistic compositions.

Shooting feels natural because the shutter button, AF point selector, main dial, command dial, and even the LCD panel's buttons are all within reach for one-handed operation. The command dial has seven preset image controls for work in various common shooting situations.

The lens mount is solid stainless steel to handle Canon's full line of world-renowned lenses. A built-in flash pops up easily for shooting in low-light situations, and its extended arm reduces red-eye effect. When buying a SLR camera, you likely intend to purchase additional lenses and/or flashes to build a system (if not, maybe a point and shoot would be better). Canon has an awesome line of flashes, lenses, and other accessories for their bodies. Sadly they all add up to quite an expense, so buying a body at the lower end, such as this one, can allow you to spend more on lenses, which ultimately contribute much more to the final product (only your own abilities exceed them in impact). The difference between this body and some of Canon's higher end ones is minimal for most users (bodies costing 2-4 times as much are metal, sealed from the weather, and may focus quicker, but few really need any of this). This camera leaves few feautures out (especially when compared to competing brands' cameras in this price range), and you can build a wonderful system around it. If you ever do develop a need for a fancier model, you will have learned a whole lot from this body and will have a collection of lenses and flashes to continue to use.

I had my Cannon rebel G stolen on Chrismas, so for a replacement I have been Eying the new Cannon Ti. Every store I've looked at sells this model for $300, and up. It comes with the smaller 35-80mm Lens, and thats it. I was very happy with this package deal, because it came with a better len's 27-90mm( Nice Close ups!), Camera bag, 2 batteries, cleaning kit, Mini tripod, and a role of film! On top of that it was free to ship! The camera itself is beautiful, a nice step up from my stolen Rebel G!

I love this camera. I am not a professional photographer. I use my camera to have fun. I have taken over a dozen rolls of film and they all turned out great. I have never owned a SLR camera until now, but I will from now on. This one is very easy to use. I did get the deal with the case and all, but I paid only $368. As for the comment about making more money, every store has sales. Sometimes you hit them, sometimes you don't. My pictures (of my newborn son) are priceless and I am so glad they were taken with this camera instead of another.

why is the price going up every week??.......2003-11-04

I started to notice this page for 3 weeks now and the price keeps going up every time. It started at $359.99 when i saw it for the first time then 369.99 and now its 399.99. Not sure if amazon is playing a trick to make more money during holiday season???

Setting up the Ott-Lite was easy. We simply connected the base to the neck, clamped the base to our desktop, and plugged it in. Standing just under 2.5 feet tall, its sleek design and small footprint are unobtrusive. Its translucent blueberry color coordinates well with many computer products on the market today.

As we used the Ott-Lite, we found that it does provide more natural-like daylight than the standard desk lamp we used for comparison. The Ott-Lite's 5-inch, 13-watt bulb provided a pleasantly diffused light over a large area without being too bright, while the standard desk lamp gave off a focused yellowish glow. Colors appeared more accurate with the Ott-Lite, and we detected virtually no glare on the computer screen. Text and detail looked sharp.

The Ott-Lite VisionSaver Blueberry Clamp-On Lamp is a true lifesaver for me. I make jewelry for a living and have always used halogen in order to try to see my projects more clearly, but halogen got too hot to work long hours under. The Ott-Lite not only allows me to see my work with incredible detail, the colors of my gemstones and other materials are as they should be..TRUE TO LIFE! The Ott-Lite is cool so not only can I use it longer but along with it's extreme flexibility, I can bring it in closer to me if I need a more direct light without giving up my comfort. If I need to move it to a different spot, I just unclamp it and take it elsewhere-no hassles. The converter fit my Canon Rebel XT,but my Canon lens(18-55mm) doesn't fit the converter...though my two Quantaray lenses(telephoto and macro) fit.I expect no Canon lenses fit...so what's the deal with that?!?

A Good Teleconverter.......2007-05-13

Overall this is a good teleconverter for the price. It says that it will keep the auto focus fully functional to F4 but I did not find this to be the case. I used it with an F4 lens and it had a very hard time focusing, but I switched to manual focus and had no problems. On my bigger lens it worked great with no auto focus problems at all. The teleconverter is optically clear and correct as I have found no "flat" or "distorted" spots or edges in any of the pics I have shot with it.
Overall a good teleconverter for the budgetminded photographer who can unerstand it's limitations on auto focus and use manual focus when needed.
I would recomend it to anyone with the above mentioned stipulations.

The Sennheiser HD433 headphones offer excellent sound and sport a lightweight design that you can use either on a home or portable stereo. The HD433 earpieces sit flush against your ears rather than enclosing them or resting inside them.

A 10-foot OFC (oxygen-free copper) cord frees you to move about or merely sit across the room from your stereo during private listening. The HD433's sturdy, one-piece headband grips firmly but not too tightly for a snug fit that blocks external noise while keeping the 'phones in place for walking or even more strenuous exercise (though jogging may require unusual measures to keep the lengthy cord out of the way).

The minijack plug comes with a 0.25-inch adapter, so the 'phones are ready for any headphone jack. While credited with a full-range frequency response of 18 to 20,000 Hz, the HD433s prove a little light in the deep bass, though not so much as to sound thin or tinny. Rather, they sound mellow and natural, letting the music speak for itself with no undue peaks in either the bass or treble.

The headphones sound particularly good with components (such as CD players or integrated amplifiers) offering high-grade headphone jacks. Got these for CA$50. First impression: poor material and build quality for a Sennheiser. The headband is a cheap-looking, poorly molded plastic piece, got rather sharp material leftovers along edges. Had to arm myself with a pen knife and spent half an hour removing and smoothing those. The speakers don't hold in place well, so frequent re-adjusting is needed. Sound quality is ok, nothing extraordinary, rather flat and dry; I get a better response from my old $20 Radioshack pieces. Cord length (some 10 ft) is a plus, but there is no volume control on the cord. To sum up: cheap headphones from a reputable manufacturer. Want to flash the Sennheiser logo --- go and buy these, otherwise I guess you can get a better bang for $50.

Sounded good untill they started buzzing........2003-06-29

Tough to rate because I don't know if these headphones are prone to buzzing or whether it's just my pair.
However, untill they started buzzing, these headphones gave good sound quality. They have a long cord, which makes it somewhat cumbersome for listening on the go, but nice for listening to stuff at home. Fortunately for me, they have a 2 year warranty.
For their price, these are a good pair, but you can probably find better.

Excellent for the price.......2003-05-06

These are probably the best headphones you'll find in this price range. They'll never compare to really nice over-the-ear designs like Sennheiser's higher-end models, but they make a great bargain for something you can take with you almost anywhere, without worrying too much over theft or damage. I use them with the computer and a portable CD player; I haven't noticed any of the lack of bass several other reviews have complained about. While they aren't as bass-heavy as the latest Sony MegaEarDrumBurster model, these can actually reproduce more than one bass note! Imagine that! Almost every set of headphones in this price range seems to cram everything below about 1 KHz into a low rumbling; these manage to actually reproduce decent bass. As for comfort, they are great - as long as you take care to put the little plastic nubbin in the center over roughly over your ear canal. They can get a little warm in summer, though. One final tip: the 10ft cord can get a little annoying. Just loop it up a few times near the plug and zip-tie it off to get the length more managable.

Excellent Sound for the Money, but..........2003-01-19

These little guys blow away all of the standard headphones that come with various portable units and computers. I'm sure that if you want to spend more, you could get better sound. But these have a nice spacious, well-balanced sound. I've tried them on both jazz and classical, using my Walkman with Bass Boost, and I'm very pleased. And they are *very* comfortable. They seem to float on your ears.

Now for the "but...". The cord is heavy and 10 feet long. You might look at that as a positive, but I've found myself tripping over it. It's a lot of extra cord to deal with if you just want to put a walkman in your pocket. On the other hand, if you want to use it attached to a computer or other non-portable player, that would be an advantage.

I also wish that there was a volume control/mute on the cord, and I wish that the cord went only to one earpiece, rather than running up to both. But these are very small complaints. For the cost of this set, it's unreasonable to expect to have both great sound and convenience features.
