Optics and Resolution

Direct Printing/Sharing
The PowerShot A310 introduces a new Print/Share button that speeds and simplifies printing to compatible Canon and PictBridge enabled printers and one-touch image transfer to Windows XP, Me, 2000, and 98 computers for use with image processing programs, uploading to the Internet, or placement in e-mail. Storage and Transfer
Images and video are stored on CompactFlash memory cards (Type I only) and the included 32 MB card holds approximately 33 images at the Large/Fine setting. Images can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB 1.1 connectivity, which means the camera can be connected to any USB-based Windows Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.

Power and Size
The camera is powered by two AA batteries (alkalines included; rechargeable NiMH batteries recommended). i owned this camera for a little over 2 years, hardly used it and it still displays saved photo's but the ccd went out on it and the only pictures it takes now look like scratchy lines, my mom bought hers the same time i did and it has the same issue. so as long as you don't expect this camera to last you should be fine :(

Excellent camera, but LCD issue confirmed by canon.......2007-04-24

We bought this as our first digital camera experience when we had a baby 4 years ago. Considerably higher priced then, but well worth the usage. Easy for beginer, but photo quality of expert. We loved sharing our high quality pics, most especially the short mini-video clips of baby to share. Problem is LCD stopped working, the icons are there but you can't see the pics before you snap. Canon has confirmed that they acknowledge use of defective chips in this model and have offered to repair my camera. Now you just can't beat that!

Stayed Strong For Four Years.......2007-03-15

This was a fantastic camera, and if the display hadn't stopped working a few weeks ago I'd stick with it for as long as it'd take pictures. The 3.2MP is perfect for 4x6s, I've printed some 8x10s and they've come out fine as well and they don't take up a lot of room on my computer. The colors are vivid and the settings easy to use. I found that photos without the flash turned out best (I think this is true of most cameras, even the digital SLRs have flash issues). The video option was particularly useful, although it only allows video in 30 second clips I found this was often the best option as I could stitch videos into a montage rather than a long string of video (which I find boring).

The best thing about the camera was its durability. It's been across three continents in a backpack, dropped from a window, dropped in the ocean, and survived years in a messenger bag at college. It only recently stopped working after a day trip, so I'm looking for a new Canon, but still giving this one an excellent review. If you can find it, get it!

THIS IS THE THIRD A310 I HAVE BOOUGHT - WE ARE A CONTRACTING COMPANY & THESE CAMERAS ARE GREAT TO SEND OUT TO A JOB SITE WHEN I WANT PICTURE BACK UP OR TO SHOW CLIENTS BEFORE & AFTER SHOTS. IT DOES TAKE ITS TIME GETTING READY TO RESHOOT BUT FOR OUR PURPOSE THE PRICE FOR THE CAMERA IS MY DECIDING FACTOR.

Excellent Camera.......2006-11-30

This is just an Excellent camera. I have bought 3 till date for me and my family. There are people out there to criticize it for faults like No optical zoom but these are functionalities of the camera that are specified in the Description, so if they haven't read them before buying it then its their fault. Its not that it malfunctions after u buy it or the Optical zoom capability disappears after one purchases it, so please think before criticizing such as excellent product.

This product from Canon may go down as a Classic. Its photographs are mind blowing and videos are crystal clear. Ive dropped the camera from my pocket while jogging onto solid Tar and it came out unscathed. It can a beating and its worth more than the 125 bucks Ive paid for it.

Great fit for runny, but very unreliable.......2007-04-29

My first pair came with a Nike/Phillips mp3 player. They fit very well for running, and I haven't found a pair yet, that fits as well. I had problems with loosing the rubber ear-bud covers and problems with the headphones breaking.

Fantastic design, very bad reliability.......2006-12-04

I love these headphones! I have loved each of the six -- yes, six!! -- pair I've had. I love them so much that every time they quit working, I go back for more.

As a previous reviewer noted, sweat seems to ruin these headphones -- easily. I use them on the treadmill, and each pair has lasted somewhere between six weeks and six months.

If you're buying these for non-workout purposes, I very highly recommend them. If you plan on doing some sweating, either go ahead and buy several pair or keep shopping.

Great sound for next to nothing.......2006-05-05

I've had two pair of these so far and love them! They aren't perfect, but for being beaten up running or in a gym bag / immersed in water (ya I'm not a fair weather athlete) they do remarkably well.

The only reason I've had two pair is "I" accidentally did the 1st one in and the 2nd was stolen from my car. I'm buying the 3rd pair today.

I've never had an issue with them falling out or impeding my workout in any way. Maybe I'm the exception, who knows.

So for what's it's worth get'em & try'em ~ it's $20.00 bucks so what do ya gotta lose really?

I didn't think they were too bad.......2006-05-02

I had these for about a year before sound went out in the left bud. I did have problems with the buds coming out of my ears, but not too much to be bothered with it. I would just stickl them back in every once in awhile. Over a 10 mile run I would have to reinsert the earbud 3-4 times. The main reason I liked these though is because of the design. The connector fits over the back of your head instead of on top of it, and the wire runs down the middle of your back. This keeps the phones out of the way of my hat and away from my arms, and also made it less noticeable that I had headphones in. I can take my hat off while running without having to remove my phones first. I've looked for other headphones that have this design but can't find any.

However, the sound quality wasn't that great (about what I would expect for $15 phones) and I can see how the buds slipping out would be annoying for some people. In fact, if the phones didn't have the behind-the-head design I talked about, I'd probably give them only 1 star.

love 'em (for jogging).......2006-03-07

I am addicted jogging with music - I don't think I could stand to do it any other way! I've tried a few different pairs of headphones and this Nike behind-the-ear design is by far the best. Sounds good and stays put. Like most in-ear phones they were a little uncomfortable, at first, but now they feel great - I can even put a winter hat over them!

Of course I use a totally different set for listening while at home, casually walking around, etc.

A great amp for small scale systems.......2006-05-30

I purchased this amp to power up a dvd/video head unit. I wanted a small footprint amp that could provide decent power to four speakers (two component and two 6 1/2" speakers). I have had this amp installed and in use now for nearly a year.

The Good

Does not generate that much heat (mounted under passenger seat)

The Bad
Nothing to say. A great amp should be invisible and trouble free. This amp fits the bill.

Recommendations
I recommend drawing power with an aftermarket harness that gives you a fused line directly to the battery.
This amp does not need a capacitor - wasted at this amperage
I installed it under the passenger seat. It required typical amount of effort to install (mounting and wiring effort).

Overall another great Kenwood component--I have had the best overall performance with Kenwood stuff. Alpine and Sony have been fairly good with a few weak products. Much better than the junk being put out there by pioneer, blaupunkt (who once was great) and the perennial also ran, Jenson.
