This camera takes good pictures but the only problem with it is that it goes through batteries very quickly. I got some rechargable ones and they last a little longer, but it's a bit of a hassle always changing batteries.

Great until it malfunctioned, then Canon did not honor warranty.......2006-11-10

This camera worked very well until the lens got jammed in its extended position. I sent the camera for warranty service (I had it less than 7 months), and they refused to honor the warranty because it was a bit scuffed and a little decorative ring on the end of the lens that had been attached with 2-sided tape had come off. They claimed this happened due to physical damage, but this occurred during normal use: I was just changing modes and the lens didn't retract. Don't bother trying to get warranty service unless the unit looks brand new. Even then, don't be surprised if they renege on the warranty.

I had another A410 that did the very same thing (lens got jammed), but was stolen in a break-in before I sent it out for service (so I suppose it was no loss after all). Obviously there is a design flaw that causes the lens to extend too far and come off track inside.

In short, this camera is not suitable for frequent use in the field. If you buy it, and plan to use it a lot, expect to be buying another camera or paying for a repair that should be covered under warranty (which I'm not doing) soon.

Best camera I've ever owned.It has features found on larger SLR's such as shutter speed & red-eye reduction.The several shoot modes such as portrait allows for close ups as well as a scenery mode which allows for sharp vivid photos of foilage as well as sunsets.A marvelous little camera and the size being slightly bigger than a pack of cigarettes allows you to take this anywhere without the bulk of some of the SLR's and their required lens.Too many features to list here.Try one for yourself you'll be amazed.

Featuring 5-point AiAF auto focus and a range of shooting modes, the A410's ease of use makes it the ideal camera for those making the change to digital.

DIGIC II power
In a leap up from the PowerShot A400, the PowerShot A410 now includes Canon's renowned DIGIC II processing--the same technology found in Canon's EOS-1 professional range digital SLR cameras. The DIGIC II processor integrates all image processing algorithms onto a single chip to deliver fast write times, minimal shutter lag, optimal image definition and consistently precise and natural color reproduction. Camera start up and response times for image review are significantly improved. Introduction of DIGIC II also accounts for an up to 40% improvement in auto focus times, and smooth continuous shooting at a highly impressive 2.5 frames per second.

Simply better
While being smaller and more robust, the A410 has a longer optical zoom of 3.2x (41-131mm equivalent) allowing the user extra reach. The increased maximum aperture provides more options when shooting in low light. 5-point AiAF auto focus analyses the composition of the shot and focuses the camera accordingly, keeping even off-center subjects sharply in focus. Super Macro mode allows focus on subjects as close as 1.5 centimeters from the lens.

Users can take photographs using the optical viewfinder or the 1.5-inch LCD monitor. The monitor is adjustable up to 15 levels of brightness, and the user interface has been improved to make the camera even more simple to use. 22 language settings can be displayed.

To take full advantage of the camera's zoom range, the A410's flash has been repositioned, ensuring that there are no dark shadows in images when they are recorded with the lens fully extended. The flash covers a range of up to 3 meters.

Camera modes
The A410 has 14 shooting modes to select from, including 8 pre-set Special Scene modes to help achieve great results in tricky lighting conditions. These modes include Portrait, Night Snapshot, Kids and Pets, Indoor, Foliage, Beach, Snow, and Fireworks. To assist photographers with composition, a gridline display can be selected, which helps with framing shots and keeping horizons level. The addition of My Colors allows the operator to use enhanced, in-camera digital effects, such as Color Swap, while shooting. Previously, this level of image enhancement was only possible after downloading to a PC, and using specialised software.

The A410 also allows users to capture high quality movie clips. It supports VGA (640 x 480) and QVGA (320 x 240) quality at 10 and 20 frames per second respectively. Up to 3 minutes of footage can be captured. A Compact Mode is provided for producing clips suitable for e-mail without the problem of unwieldy file sizes.

Direct printing
At 3.2 megapixels, the A410 can print photo quality images up to A4 size. When used in combination with Canon's new Compact Photo Printer Selphy CP510 and Canon's Ink and Paper Set (KP-108IP), prints can be produced very inexpensively. Printing via Selphy CP Compact Photo Printers also allows the user to print handy ID Photo prints and movie prints.

When connected to the latest range of PictBridge compatible PIXMA printers, image enhancement is possible with functions including Noise Reduction and Vivid Photo as well as the new Face Brightener feature.

Printing of images without having to connect to a PC is also made simpler via the Print/Share button.

Comprehensive software
The A410 comes bundled with the following Canon software:

ZoomBrowser EX 5.5, PhotoRecord 2.2 (Windows), ImageBrowser 5.5 (Macintosh): For easy image download, storage and retrieval, as well as management of image layout and printing.
PhotoStitch 3.1: Creates stunning panoramas and can be used with Windows and Macintosh.
PhotoStudio: The photo manipulation software by ArcSoft.

Purchasers of the A410 are eligible for membership of Canon iMAGE Gateway , where they can upload images and customise their camera settings.

The bundled software supports Windows 98 (SE), ME, 2000 (SP4), XP (SP1/3) and Macintosh OS X v10.2-v10.3. The A410 supports PTP for driverless transfer to supported Windows XP or Macintosh OS X.

Canon PIXMA iP4200 Photo Printer
Why bother waiting for the photo lab when you can print images that are just as good--or maybe better--at home? The Canon PIXMA iP4200 combines five-color printing with a 1,856-nozzle print head capable of delivering superfine 1-picoliter ink droplets. The result is gorgeously clean, sharp prints delivered into your hands just minutes after you snapped the shot.

Color resolution is as high as 9,600 x 2,400 dpi, with black resolution up to 600 x 600 dpi. The Nike Sport ACT300 is built by Philips for Nike. I've found this a pretty tough and excellent sounding portable. So tough I brought it to Iraq with me and used it throughout my year-long stay there.

Drawbacks? There are a few. The battery life is terrible and the lack of AM/FM is something that I wish would be remedied. The absolute worst drawback is the difficulty in placing and extracting the AA batteries. Terrible, especially considering the thought put into the rest of the design.

On the positive side sound quality is excellent for a portable cd player, the anti-skip works well and it gives the user several options such as repeat and shuffle. The Nike's build quality is also of a much higher standard then even most "sports walkman" players.

I highly recommend the Nike ATC300.

A better option than the Act400.......2004-02-09

Works with nokia 6230.......2005-10-21

I purchased this for my Nokia 6230, and the features are really nice. The first piece dint work. When i contacted

mobile action customer care i was informed that this device has to be recognized as a nokia 6230 modem but it

dint. I reported that to amazon and got a replacement within 3 days.

The new piece is working gloriously. But the problem is the device driver which comes along with the

product doest work. Again i contacted the customer care and found that i needed a newer version of driver. Download the driver from

Open the folder PureCDMADriver click on Install file and follow instructions. You can find the installation guide at

The Handset manager that comes with the product too was giving some problem. so i downloaded Handset Manager version 9 from
http://usa.mobileaction.com/download/download1.jsp?phoneBrand=1&modelID=27
then the problem was solved.

I dont know why mobile action is distributing CD's with older version of drivers and softwares. Hope they will

correct that soon.

This TV has everything you can expect from a tv in this price range, and more. I purchased this TV after doing research on the competitive brands and found this to offer the most for the money. You get multiple audio/video inputs, along with component video which is hard to find on tv's in this price range. Component video mosty comes on tv's with a much higher price range. With the component video inputs you will get almost 1.5 times better picture than with the standard s-video. That rocks. If you buy this tv you won't have any regrets, just do your research!

I just got my TV delivered last week. I totally love it! The picture is very sharp, and although I am admittedly no audiophile, I think the sound is fine too. I do have it hooked up to DISH Network Statellite system. I had DISH hooked up to my previous TV too, but the picture is much better with this TV.

I have no complaints at all, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a 32" TV at a great price.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Problem with Product line!!!.......2000-08-18

I know you may be confused by my first review. In all honesty, when the TV works correctly, it is great.

BUT, I discovered a flaw with the Picture Tube processing some cable AND video signals. Specifically, a white and/or green line on the bottom of the screen when the color black was present. I should point out that it happened with a few cable signals, and happened again when playing a Camcorder.

This was NOT isolated to just this TV! I got it replace, it happened again. Then, I went to an electronics store and we reproduced the same problem on the floor model.

If it happened on three of the same line of TV, there is obviously something wrong with this line. I will be writing a letter to Panansonic!

Great for DVD, shows how bad Cable really is!!!.......2000-08-08

The first time I turned on my new CT32D10, I thought it was terrible.

Actually, with the new 3-line Digital Comb filter and line correction, it showed how bad basic 1970's-technology cable really is when shown through an advanced tv meant to be optimized for digital!!! If you get this tv, upgrade to Digital Cable or Dish.

The picture is fantastic with DVD through Component Video Inputs and the Video inputs from the VCR and Camcorder. The Simulated Surround Sound is also a big plus!

A great buy for the price! Upgrade to all digital if you buy!!

These are simply wonderful controllers; from the feel of the controller in your hands to the great logos of your favorite teams. The extra long cable and added vibration are appreciated features. Mad Catz has moved the Start, Select and Mode buttons to the top and bottom of the controller. The Start and Select buttons are located between the shoulder buttons while the Mode button is directly opposite on the bottom. The D-Pad can be a little sensitive but nothing you can't get used to. Again, a good feeling quality controller. For all of us NFL junkies who are proud to show our teams colors, well worth the extra buck or two. For the casual fan it's just a controller and might not be worth the extra investment.
