Nice camera.......2007-05-14

Nothing to complain, except slightly heavy and bulky (not too much though). Compare to my old S30, the battery life is greatly improved, and the turn-on time is shorter too. Picture quality and functions are also very good. Really love it. And its control is quite user friendly.

Excellent little camera - Great bang for the buck.......2007-04-05

I have owned this camera since it came out on the market. I have used many different digital cameras - and I believe this one has been the most user friendly and produces very fine images. It is well constructed- I take mostly outdoor/nature photos and having traveled extensively with this camera it has held up remarkably well.

I spent over 8 months in one year on fishing boats in the Bering Sea...no problems. This camera captured thousands of images (intervolometer option - awesome!) inside it's waterproof housing while strapped to the steel gantry's of 100' ships in less than ideal weather...no problem.

This camera went with me to the top of Ecuador's highest volcanos...only problem was the LCD freezing - now there are a few 'spots' on it...but hey...that was my fault and it wasn't exactly warm up there at 20,000'

So, yeah...it's a nice tuff little camera.

Great Camera.......2006-11-30

A friend at work was just asking for advice on a camera as she had an early digital compact that was very un-user friendly. The conversation inspired me to post a review as this camera is so easy to use and takes fantastic photos.

Pros:
- Easy to use
- Picture quality is great
- Video is pretty good (not amazing but better than most out there)
- Size is good - not tiny but not big for the quality you get
- Stylish; looks nice
- You can buy a waterproof casing for it

Cons:
- The only thing that is probably the case with all compacts is its not super fast taking a photo. If you have used an SLR this will be a little annoying but overall its not a great problem and something you get used to with automatic focus.

I've been very very happy with this camera using it for travel and family shots. Thumbs up.

Love this digital camera compared to our previous ones. We're mostly a point-and-click family, and this is an easy-to-use camera that does a good point-and-click and gives an opportunity to do more if you should so choose some day.

SLOW.......2006-08-08

At first I thought this camera was great, but owning it for 2 years now - I HATE IT. It's SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. The autofocus is SO SLOW. Reviewing pictures is SO SLOW. I can't stand it. Another thing I hate is the movie mode - it's only 10 FPS. I know the camera is for still photos, but my brothers camera at least captures movement at 30 fps. As for the actual photos it captures, they are fine - but then again I can't take any instant photos for those times when my niece and nephew are being cute for that split second. Buy this camera if you want a delay after delay. It's SO SLOW.

I bought this hard drive in Aug '04. It is now Mar '07 and still using it. It's been a great help in backing up my hard drivce and storing movies and bigger sized files. I love it. I also have a 120gb Maxtor which I love as well.

Maxtor One-Touch Died After 18 Months.......2006-07-14

My 300 GB external hard drive crashed after 18 months.

When I called Maxtor.com, I found out that they had been bought by Seagate. Furthermore, I was out of warranty and would have to use a data retrieval company if I wanted to try and rescue my data (minimum $1,000).
Their warranty is to replace the drive...meaning your data is lost.

BUYER BEWARE!.......2006-06-06

I have owned a Maxtor One Touch 160gb Hard Drive Firewire/USB drive for over a year. What a piece of crap, every couple weeks it kept crashing on me of course losing all my data. Mator told me to hook it up by USB not Firewire, then told me to buy a New USB Hub, . Between switching cables and everything else it still crashes. So Buyer Beware, buy a nice Western Digital External Hard Drive, I havent had a Western Digital fail on me yet, I'm running 2.

Maxtor One Touch 300Gb external drive.......2006-01-01

I've had this device for about a month. Works fine. No overheating issues and does what it is supposed to. My computer complained bitterly like it was a hostile takeover on initial installation but finally accepted it after cancelling quite few warning signs. Runs quietly and is even fairly quiet during back-up mode (hint: don't run the diagnostic during back-ups as it makes an awful noise!). Not cheap, but it's a lot of space to fill, so I think reasonable value for the money.

Some minor quibbles (1) the two tone gray color (as if I don't have enough computer equipment that is two tone gray already) (2) the little round stick-on plastic feet that are supplied to attach when laying the drive flat are truly shocking and cheap looking (go with the vertical stand - even though it's also gray!).

Overall, I'm happy with the device and would recommend it. If you're going to buy one don't under estimate your requirements if you wish to back-up your whole computer rather than just files. I wouldn't get anything less than 200Gb for standard use and the larger drives (250-300) are also useful for placing large applications on if you're short on space with your PC. You can then access them via the Start>Programs Menu and there is no appreciable loss in access time via the USB2.

Don't get lulled into a false sense of security with Maxtor drives.......2005-09-23

I have a 160GB Maxtor one-touch firewire drive which was working perfectly but has just suddenly died after 14 months. Maxtor's response is that there is nothing they can do.

I also have a newer 300GB Maxtor One-touch II usb/firewire drive on another machine. The software drivers for this in Windows XP have a bug which crashes my PC on a frequent basis.

The drives are very stylish but don't get lulled into a false sense of security by their sleek design and ease of use. The drives may let you down.

This radio sounds good at first, but you will need to get an FCC license to operate this radio legally. Most people in the "FRS" market really don't need the extra power, cost and hassle of GMRS. So I'd label this radio "don't try this at home", unless you are a serious GMRS user.

I am happy with this headset - the only problem I've encountered is the fact that they are not adjustable to different head sizes. If you have a fairly small head they are very loose fitting.

the sound quality is fine, everyone's told me that they hear me clearly. I love being able to adjust the volume on the cord. The headphones get a little uncomfortable after about 4 hours though

I use this for VOIP professionally, and it works fine. It's not perfect, but it's the best cost/performance value I've found less than $50.

Broken ear piece.......2006-11-23

Sound and mic quality was excellent. The behind the ear style may not be for everyone, I found it a little bit uncomfortable on the ears, but the other style has drawbacks too.

The only thing that really annoyed me is the joint between the earpiece and band broke within a couple weeks of purchase. I bit of electrical tape fixed it and it is probably still under warranty, but I would expect better from Sennheiser.

Comparing to AKG K55 and Plantronics DSP-500.......2006-09-29

I compare this to AKG K55. The PC140 is with very nice sweet high, but not as full as the K55 in the mid the bass. The sound of PC140 is clean but very relax. This is the Sennheiser sound. Some other brand like Plantronics (DSP-500) is with clean but strained sound, which are good for Jazz or game but not good for classic or vocal.

Sensitivity of the PC140 is low. I guess we need a good sound card to drive it. The on/off switch does not work from the time I open the brand new box. I guess the QC of this company is not that strict.
