Customer Reviews:
Probably the best point-and-shoot film camera [4 1/2 Stars].......2005-04-14
I got this camera two weeks ago as a gift. Almost exactly what I wanted: lightweight and small enough to fit my pocket. The plusses are:
1. Superb picture quality for both indoor and outdoor photos.
2. Advanced features that are only available on SLRs. These are ACTION mode (keeps moving subjects in focus), REAL-TIME modes (shutter releases immediately when the button is pressed) and manual exposure correction +/- 1.5 f-stops.
3. Three AF modes: 3-point AF, center point AF, and servo AF.
The Sure Shot 90u, as far as photo quality and camera features go, is effectively a pocket-sized SLR. So why not award 5 stars? My reasons are:
1. No weatherproofing. I also take photos at pool parties and the beach. Sure, a waterproof disposable would do, but I want high-quality photos!
2. The instruction manual is way too brief! Although it does an excellent job in showing how to operate the camera, it does not give any technical information. Also, there are no illustrative photos, e.g., photos to illustrate the effect of the red-eye reduction lamp.
3. A max shutter speed of (1/1000)s would be great!
4. The battery cover seems easily breakable.
5. The lens is slow: f/4.7. It is better than the f/5.6 on most cameras of this type, but not good enough. Why not f/2.8 like on the PowerShot A95?
6. A night light (like INDIGLO on Timex watches) for the LCD display would come in handy for night use.
This camera is superb and is a must-have for anyone who wants high-quality SLR-like photos without the bulk of an SLR and the skill of a professional or an advanced amateur. (The only serious gripe is the lack of weatherproofing.) Get this camera. Enough said!!!
No major flaws, but not recommended........2005-02-03
The 90u is a decent camera. It is very light, but with that being said, it also feels very cheap. The buttons and controls also feel cheap. The camera does what it is supposed to do - just like what any other point and shoot camera would do. However, at this price, I feel there are cameras out there with higher build quality, lens quality, and feel. No major flaws, but not recommended.
Don't buy this camera........2004-12-30
Bought this camera in August /September(for a gift). Didn't use it for a month and a half.I couldn't get camera to work. Called Canon, wouldn't replace it, kept getting a flashing "H" Got no warranty, Canon said it was a "diaognostic malfunction" No satification at all. Very unhappy about this purchase
Bad choice - camera leaks light & Canon won't fix it.......2004-12-13
I bought a Canon Sure Shot at a local camera shop and discovered in a few months that it had a light leak, which caused all my prints to be overexposed in one corner. Canon took it back for warranty repair, held onto it for several months, then returned it. Thinking it was fixed, I didn't bother verifying the repair within one year of the original purchase. It turns out that Canon did nothing to repair it, and Canon now refuses to do the repair that it should have done in the first place because the original one year warranty has expired. I'll never buy another Canon and advise others to consider both the lack of quality and service I've experienced.
Wonderful Film Camera.......2004-08-12
I researched about film camera's before I bought this. I always read great reviews and I've always been a strong proponent of Canon products. Canon sureshot 90u did not disappoint me. It has an amazing zoom and picture clarity is great. It also has Auto/manual mode with Auto/always on flash.
The camera body is stylish and sleek. The pictures came out great both in matte and shiny finish. I also tried taking pictures in day/night/dusk outdoor and indoor. All the pictures were good, though I have to say that outdoor pictures came out better. Overall, it is a very good camera. If you thinking about buying any other cheap film camera, dont do that. Buy this camera and I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

Customer Reviews:
Quick install, no hastle.......2007-02-28
I bought this hard drive not only for the additional storage space, but because I wanted to run Windows from it and format my old hard drive. I had read that 7200 rpm can make a difference to the way things run (compared to a 5200), and it has certainly been noticeable with this one.
The installation disc supplied with the hard drive made it very easy to transfer all system files and personal documents across from the old to the new.
As an added bonus, the hard drive is also really quiet. I recommend this item to anyone seeking a hard drive with 100GB.
Excellent Drive for the Lower End PCs.......2006-01-12
Some versions of this 100 GIG drive have a bonus 20 GIG. At the price advertised, its a very good dollar per GIG ratio. I added this to a DELL Dimension 8100, and it worked superbly.
If you get either the standard 100 GIG ATA, or the one with the bonus 20, if you use the utilities on the CD with the Drive, then you will get the most available space on this drive. The best thing about the CD is that if needed, it will adjust the Registry when required( In the case of most units,PCs-computers, currently sold, anything under 137 GIG is perfectly useable).Your only manual adjustment is the jumper on the rear, and this is fully documented on the booklet with the drive.
If you want the 100 GIG as a new C drive, the best way( if you want to retain the image on the Current "C" Drive) is to place the drive in the second bay, boot up, then copy the system across ( either with the free XXCOPY software available on the internet), or use something like DRIVE IMAGE etc; I used XXCOPY, and before changing the drives, I made a full Boot disk so I could copy the system files across.
A word about some additional software. Do NOT use Maxtor's DDO ( Dynamic Disk Overlay ) option in the MAXBLAST Software if you have both Partition Magic 7 or 8, as well as Norton Utilities Premier 2006. The probability of an issue with BOOT.INI and the HAL.DLL file is high. The good news is that using PFEDIT and then FDISK/MBR ( and no, thats not a typo... this switch works, and is not officially documented in MS windows TID's, technical info documents), which will change the Partition type from TYPE 44 to the type you need, if necessary, and also FDISK/MBR will rebuild the MBR( Master Boot Record).
Like pretty much every MAXTOR I have used,it is extremely easy to install, and your decision is wether to use the ATA, or another variety of Maxtor. Whatever the case, if you need to, there are cards available, if you have a spare PCI slot, that make adding any type of drive, even more easier than could be believed. Whatever size system you have, if you need a Backup drive, MAXTOR has what I consider the best external drives outside of a LACIE. Actually, I love my Lacie External :-). Anything that can survive a move from a 240 Volt Power system to a 110, and theoretically back, as well as surviving LAX ( Los Angeles International Airport) Security, where they do all but Punt your drive through security, is a sturdy device in my view.MAXTOR and LACIE .... What a Team !!!!!!!!!!!!

Product Description
Quick, comfortable shooting and a slender form. Beautiful pictures and outstanding mobility. The compact LC20 makes it easy to enjoy the many features that distinguish the Lumix series, such as the exquisite rendering of the Leica lens and the superior shooting performance made possible by Panasonic's digital imaging technologies. With the Lumix LC20, Panasonic has established a new standard in basic digital camera performance. The Leica DC-Vario Elmarit lens featured on the LC20 is named after the Elmarit lens, the most compact member of Leica Camera AG's renowned lens family. A 3x optical zoom, equivalent to a 35 mm-105 mm zoom on a 35 mm camera, provides dynamic photographs of distant objects. It can be used with the 2x digital zoom to provide 6x zooming. At the core of the LC20 is a newly developed 2, 100, 000-pixel, 1/2.7" CCD, used to convert optical information into digital information. The advanced performance of this new CCD is enhanced by the use of a primary color filter, known for its superior color reproducibility. Panasonic's revolutionary Multitask Image Processing has slashed the time required between exposures. With the LC20, you can snap off consecutive full-size images at a lightning-fast five frames per second - ideal for shooting a fast-moving object or trying to catch the perfect expression on a face. The LC20's flash system is more than just an auxiliary light source. This provides fine light control over a wide range, extending all the way down to wide-angle close-ups within 3.9 inches (10 cm) of the object. The LC20 can record up to 20 seconds of moving images, with 320 x 240-pixel resolution. Moving images are recorded in the QuickTime (Motion JPEG) file format and can be played back on a PC with either a Windows or Mac OS operating system and QuickTime installed. The LC20 saves images onto an SD Memory Card. It gives you an easy way to link your LC20 with PCs, printers, TVs, and handheld computers equipped with an SD slot.
Customer Reviews:
Good camera, but dark photos if lack of light........2005-02-14
I bought this camera in May 2003. I selected it because was cheap, the partnership between Panasonic and the famous Leica sound reliable, and the resolution was enough to print 10x15[cm]photo. All meet expectation.
SD card memory (buy minimum 256Mb)and AA battery are good options when you travel in remote areas or for many days. The colors are very natural and the battery charger is good. The menu include option to disable the digital zoom and the compressed color mode. Tks! :)
The bad: dark photos if lack of light. Film mode has low resolution and is limited to 15 sec. No case included.
A Poor Man's Leica.......2003-01-07
The digital camera put out by Leica, The Leica Digilux 1, is a very impressive camera. The sales rep at the camera store told me that Leica partnered with Panasonic to develop that camera.
Surprise surprise! Panasonic comes out with an almost identical camera with the same exact Leica Lens that is in the Leica version.
The price is lower :-)
The biggest difference I can see from the spec sheet is:
Leica - Lightweight Magnesium Body (Believe me, it is lite)
Panasonic doesn't list this as a feature so I assume they don't have it.
Leica comes with a 64 MB SD Card
Panasonic comes with a 32 MB SD Card
They seem to be the only differences. I imagine these two points account for a bulk of the price differential.
If you want a Leica digital camera but don't want to pay the Leica price, then this would seem to be the way to go.

Put your whole sound in the sweet spot! TAMPA is a professional microphone/instrument preamp unlike any other. That s because the M-Audio design team set out to discover just why expensive tube technology sounds so good, and devise a way to land that sound at affordable solid state prices. The result is far beyond tube modeling. It s a whole new technology called Temporal Harmonic Alignment . TAMPA even comes with direct digital output and world-class dual optical servo compressor built-in. Temporal Harmonic Alignment - the secret behind the sound In natural sound sources such as strings, drum heads and vocal chords, harmonics share a characteristic temporal (phase) relationship to the fundamental. Our ears exhibit the same qualities. Solid state electronics induce distortion in the form of additional harmonics that are out of phase with the original source. Tube-based devices strike the ear as having such a warm sound because the added harmonics have the same temporal relationship as natural mechanisms (although predominantly in the midrange). This results in a sweet spot that makes vocals, guitars and other midrange-rich content sound especially pleasing. TAMPA s revolutionary new Temporal Harmonic Alignment technology produces that same phase relationship found in both tubes and nature. And unlike tubes, TAMPA s sweet spot spans the full spectrum of your sound. Dual optical servo compressor TAMPA also includes a dual optical servo compressor that is worth ...

Customer Reviews:
Great.......2005-01-06
Great Product! Ive had mine for over 3 years and love it. I think I may have ONE paper jam in 3 years.
superb quality.......2004-09-29
I bought this printer (not from Amazon though) more than a year ago and I am pretty satisfied with the printer.
Pros:
1. Fast print, especially using USB connection. Paper seems to be printed right away when I hit Print button on any application.
2. Not a single paper jam so far.
3. Toner lasts long (have not changed the toner yet) after maybe more than a thousand pages.
4. Able to connect to both USB and parellel port simultaneously from two different computers. THis is a major plus since I have two computers and one can connect to the USB, the other connect to the parellel. And they both work properly. Save me time to use some USB/parellel port switch hassle.
5. Easy setup on Win XP (just connect to USB and XP automatically recognize it and works seemlessly). Run on Win2K still needs driver installation though (I connected via parallel so this might be the reason too).
Con:
1. Parallel/USB connections need to go through a backdoor, which is a minor inconvenience to setup. But anyway it is a one time event.
Great printer!.......2004-08-18
I've had one of these at work for over a year. I really work it hard sometimes. It is very fast, the print quality is outstanding, and it's very durable. The toner cartridges last a long, long time. I've never had a paper jam. I can't tell you whether the documentation is well-written -- I've never needed it! Just plug in the printer and go!
workhorse printer - best buy ever.......2004-07-02
I own of these. It's incredible. The toner cartriges seem to last forever and the print quality is terrific. I've owned many printers in my business. I've hated most of them. None of them have ever come close to giving me the satisfaction I get from this printer. I also added a scanner, copier attachment. They are hard to find. They also are not compatible with windows xp. The printer is compatible with xp. I love it.
