After an incredibly good (but rather short) relationship with the CASSIOPEIA E-100 (you could read my review about it), I bought another CASIO PDA. Why? Well, I found out that, although the size, they're quite nifty and reliable.
When I finally got it, being used to the E-100, I had some problems with the E-125, like with the JotReader (Too many lines, too complex or easy to use), the MENU program (Funky colours anyone?) the Taskbar in the upper part of the screen, and most of all, no background image in the Today screen.
But, the positive side is that there are tons of more software for this, solving most of the problems mentioned before (thanks to NOVOSEC for the excelent FACELIFT program), plus the included aplications from Microsoft that make the transfer between the desktop and the PDA easier.
It's good speed make it a competitive PDA even today, and I could add that its easier to use than many of the ones that are in the market today, but as the technological advance is an exponential function, many of the software developers have stopped making programs for it, or even dissappeared, so sometimes is kind of difficult getting the program that you read in the web that's top-notch (in pages that date 2002).
With all this said, I still think that buying this PDA, for novice users or experienced ones, is a great thing.

This is actually very good handheld here, i recommend you to buy it because it has a very bright screen when i sychronise it doesn't crash like other TOO complicated machines. I added compact flash and had some of my movies in my computer transformed into window CE 3.0 usable movie item in windows media 7.1. REALII

Can't believe how they can get so much in so little space. I bought the 128mb storage card and in the WMA format, loaded over 100 of my favorite songs. Plugged into my outdated tape player in my car, through the headphone jack of the Cassiopeia and a casette adapter, this thing just rocks. It's much more than just an organizer, but I use it to know exactly where I've been and what I've done as far as work and billing my hours for payment. Battery life is phenomenal and recharging is a snap in the USB cradle, as well as downloading or uploading info to my desktop.

Why do I always find a super product when the company decides to stop making it?
I bought my Cassiopeia E-125 Pocket PC at a sale that I soon found was a Discontinued Item sale. It figures! When I went back to buy my wife one they were out and weren't getting any more. Oh, well! Web, here I come!
The ease of use of this product has me convinced that Casio could take over the market if they would push their marketing harder.
Out of the box, I was impressed by the clear, colorful display, and solid feel. This unit is a little bigger than some of its competitors, and feels better to me. It doesn't quite fit in my shirt pocket, but I bought a case that works just fine.
The controls are readily accessible, even to a left-handed klutz, and I find that this is the only Pocket PC I've used that doesn't care that I'm a Lefty. Many of the others have controls that I can't reach, or a cover that gets in the way constantly.
Casio has put the really necessary controls on the front, reachable by either hand, and the other buttons are all useable by thumb (left hand) or fingers (right hand).
The software packaged with the unit is easy, efficient, and effective. Contacts and Calendar I use constantly, and the automatic sync with Outlook on my Desk computer is flawless.
I'm also using a GPS and Mapping software (Delorme) that works real-time, so when I'm traveling I set a cradle with the Cassiopeia on the cup holder, and know exactly where I am and what's coming.
The product has met or exceeded all of my needs and has proved to be a rugged/reliable addition to my stable of "toys".

The DGX200AD is a large and full-featured keyboard. It has 76 keys (only 12 less than a real piano), and large speakers on either side, making for an instrument over 46 inches long, yet weighing less than 20 pounds. The 76 keys make for a much wider range of pitches than the more common 61-note keyboards, and the larger speakers provide a much richer, fuller sound quality. The DGX200AD appears to be the larger version of the Yamaha PSR290AD; the functionality is almost exactly the same. There are so many functions on this keyboard, in fact, that everyone from the novice musician up through the professional will find something to enjoy. If you are interested in something smaller but with the same functionality, you might consider the PSR290AD. This keyboard is powered by either the included AC adapter or six D batteries. If you intend to travel with the keyboard, you may want to consider using the batteries, as the adapter is rather large and heavy.

The DGX200AD has 605 voices, including western and world instruments, fun sound effects such as car engines, drum kits, and five DJ kits. Navigation through all the voices is easy using up and down buttons, a wheel, or a numeric keypad. The voices have also been organized into instrument categories; up and down category buttons allow for quick movement from one to another. Extra programmable enhancements such as reverb and chorus can be applied to the voices as well.

The DGX200AD includes an auto accompaniment feature, allowing the user to play a melody and perhaps one note in the bass while the keyboard plays the rhythm instruments and the proper chords. This is a great tool for practicing improvisation! There is also a chord dictionary; while a bit tricky to use at first, it is ultimately a nice tool for learning the many different variations of chords. In addition, built-in music lessons allow a student to learn to play a song by first practicing the rhythms, and then slowly adding the correct pitches.

The more advanced musician will have fun and powerful tools at her or his disposal. The built-in sequencer allows the composer to record up to five songs on six tracks. If that is not enough power, simply connect the DGX200AD to a PC or Macintosh computer and use it with a software sequencer. Software available for download from Yamaha's PKCLUB Web site allows the user to store MIDI files from the computer in the flash memory of the DGX200AD.

I used another trick to raise the voice volume. Use the DUAL voice function, and set the dual voice be the same as the main voice. In this way, you DOUBLED the volume. Of course, the price is no more different dual voice.

Certainly good enough!.......2003-12-19

OK, I haven't tried the Casios that some rave about, but I do know this...the keyboard does offer an adequate volume level (particularly how I play). If you want more volume: 1-Try turning the touch response off. 2-Go into the function menu and turn the M.Volume control UP. I'm certain that the naysayers didn't read into the manual. I admit that there's not a ton of additional sound, but it's set at "104" from the factory and can go to "127" if you choose to. That's because Yamaha has given the unit some "play" so you can raise or lower the sound to match other built-in settings. Also when a "song" is playing there's extra sounds like bass, cymbal etc., so how much can you expect of 12watts, total? 3-Go to radio shack, get the right adapter and plug it in to you stereo (or I've read about some adding inexpensive PC speakers for $30-$60). One or all of the above will do the trick.

It's got a great range of voices. The piano sounds great as well as others like guitar, church organ, etc. There's 600 to choose from. I advise the 202 model which will include a sustain pedal, AC power adapter, some 'phones and an extended warranty.

Good, but not enough to stand by itself.......2003-12-11

I've always been loyal to Yamaha keyboards, so when I decided to purchase a new (consumer-level) keyboard, I figured I'd continue to be loyal to the tradition. Well, after having dropped by the local Sam Ash music store, it seems like it's going to be the end of that tradition. As much as I continue to love the sounds that Yamaha offers in its keyboards, the power that this one delivers, along with the design it comes with (don't know... things are just oddly placed, in my opinion), made me drop my wish for another Yamaha, considering my budget max of $300 for a keyboard these holidays. Instead, I will be buying the Casio WK-3000 Professional Series 76 Key Digital Recording Studio Styled Keyboard, which came out in late 2003.

Good overall, a couple of disappointments

Overall the sound from this keyboard is good. I had to buy separate speakers (went for some decent quality computer speakers) because the built-in speakers were a little disappointment.

There is a good list of voices and songs, but its hard to find specifics in the list because they are not alphabetical, so every time I want to play a specific song or use a particular voice, I need to spin through all of the lists.

Haven't tried all the connectivity features (to a computer) but it seems relatively simple.

The DGX series do not allow the piano voice to be played loud enough; it can only be heard at slightly less than an average volume when volume dial is turned to "max." The problem is that I found myself playing harder to get the touch sensitivity to compensate. I had to decide whether to get an amplifier or speakers, or to return it. The positive reviews about this keyboard are all true. I only gave it three stars because of the volume problem. Every DGX model (200, 300, and 500) have low volume output for the grand piano voice. If you have speakers or an amplifier, than this keyboard is worth every penny. Beware that many other buyers have had the same complaint.
