Prortable DVD Player For My Toyota Prius.......2007-05-13

I was looking for a small DVD player that I could use in my Toyota Prius. I have it setup so that it plays through the car JBL radio and uses the built in 7" screen on the Prius for the video. This DVD player is small enough to fit in the glove box or center console. It comes with all the cords and carrying case needed to be fully functional. I did not have to buy anything thing else. The picture and sound quality are very good. No need for anything thing else for use in an automobile.

Great portable DVD player, the resolution is perfect and the sound is just fine. The only reason why I gave it a 4 was because it does get a little hot when you watch a movie with the wall outlet adapter. It does not do that when you use the rechargable battery. I love it.

Nice features However.......2007-01-11

I have had this product only 1 month. The features were why I purchased this item & I have not been disappointed with that. However, multiple segments on the function display did not illuminate. This was a gift for my son & the hassle of repackaging, returning to vendor, waiting for a replacement made an exchange non-desirable. In this case, buying the product from a store rather than over the net would be my recommendation.

Great little player.......2006-12-25

I could have given this five stars,but I just purchased this little gem a few days ago and Im just getting used to it. I love the small screen size and the incredible picture. Another plus is once you attach the battery pack there is no need to remove it unless you want it even more compact. It does act as a stand and one of the fun aspects of this unit is that you can bring it virtually anywhere(it even fits in a big pocket)and can watch a DVD.

I have quite a library of TV shows on DVD, and say you are waiting forsomeone, or you have a fewminutes to kill before an appointment or whatever, you can just take this baby out and watch a 25 minute sitcom!

I am looking forward to bringng this with me on a cross country train trip next month. I d like to buy another battery for this unit, but I have no idea if they sell them alone.

I have always been a litte wary of Coby products. The headphones they have are awful, but I bought this and the 5 inch TV DVD radio from Coby and both so far seem great.

Nice sound, nice features, but way too hot!.......2007-08-01

A nice unit with good sound. Not great sound mind you, (but hey it's not $1000 either) as I found it sounded a bit too "wide" on most settings no matter how I fiddled with it, but set at it's basic functions it sounds well and offers a terrific value. One thing I will complain about is the heat it puts out. I have to put a fan on while using this, because of the tight space in my media cabinet.

Bad.......2006-02-03

I have had this screen for about a year and a half now. And even though it was fairly problem free in the beginning, right now as i'm writing this it has lost over 50% of its brightness, the refresh rate even though it still says 60 I am 100% sure it has fallen below to. The screen is slightly blurry.

First I thought it was the cable, so I got a new cable. Now that I finally know its not that, and the screen is just messed up. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCREEN TOO ANYONE

Great Value.......2004-06-20

I just purchased the Mitsu NXM76LCD from Surplus Max, and I am very satisfied with this LCD. At 400.00 this is truely a great buy. We have played some games on this monitor and there is absolutely no problems. The monitor has a great response time. We are using the d-sub connection. This LCD also has a digital hook up as well.
The only draw back is the 1 year warantee, which you can buy from NEC.

I purchased this product only to discover it was plagued with technical problems (i.e. constant clicking and loud popping noises emanating from the monitor while in standby, large horizontal stripes running through the entire screen; even while disconnected from a computer). I was then sent a replacement with different problems (same clicking, multiple LCDs defective).

I was then told the following from Amazon:

"I am sorry that your replacement shipment was also problematic.

As it seems that the problem with this item is more widespread than we originally thought, I hesitate to send you another replacement. We will investigate and remedy the situation with the item; however, I cannot guarantee when the error may be fixed.

We will gladly refund you in full for the return of this item." (ironically, you can still purchase this item)

While this monitor has excellent image quality and includes a DVI input, its reliability is a grim issue. I would hesitate following the urge to purchase this product for its cheap price.

Excellent 17" LCD.......2003-10-11

The DiamondPoint series of LCDs are sold under the Mitsubishi brand primarily to corporate users. We have one here in the office and compared to my office NEC MultiSync LCD1760V, it looks and feels substantially more solid. The image quality is excellent, and it's also in the same stylish black thin-frame enclosure as the LCD1760V. Pure plug-n-play, the NXM76LCD-BK gives you a full 17 inches in diagonal viewable area (13.3" x 10.6"). The max resolution is 1280x1024.

In the end, I think the two LCDs are pretty much identical and both excellent. Just pick the one that's cheaper.

poor poor design.......2003-01-18

After having this adapter for about a month it all of a sudden stopped working. The only way i could get it to work was by twisting and holding the cable going into the network adapter. Turns out the little cables inside had pulled out of their plugs making the device useless. I would def recommend another USB adapter that has a seperate standard USB cable attached between the adapter and the computer. Don't waste your money. It also tries to install software that is not really necessary for the adapter to work. All the software tells you (even though its a pretty big program) is if you have an internet connection or not.

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Lexar Media 512MB Memory Stick Duo Pro, like most 512MB cards, will store on average 568 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 426 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 256 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 204 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 160 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this 512MB card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

Great Little Drive!.......2003-10-22

First off, I want to say that I have WinXP, and this drive WORKS FINE on it. Lacie is not a bad company either.
So here I go: I've had this drive for a couple months, with almost no problems whatsoever. It has saved me when my computer crashed, and yes it has an on/off switch, which is very nice. It is also very small and affordable. Aside from one time when the power wouldn't come on(it came back on after cooling down), this drive has been a lifesaver and a wonderful companion to my PC. Thanks LaCie!

Horrible!.......2003-09-29

Does NOT work with most window xp systems! It works with my MAC at work, but didn't with my PCs. How dare they advertise that it works with windows! I had to go through the hassle of thinking it was damaged so I sent it to Lacie, then they sent me a new one and then it still didn't work so I had to send it back to Amazon and I lost out on tons in shipping costs and I didn't even get refunded the full amount! What a hassle. How about sending me something that works with my system next time?

I would never buy a LaCie product again.......2003-06-04

I own several of these drives, but I would never buy another product from LaCie again. I ordered directly from the company. When I didn't receive notice that the drive had shipped, I emailed the company. The reply I received from the company was shocking. It was an email making fun of my name, and how funny it is when you glance at it. It was then followed by another email stating they weren't laughing at my name, but merely commenting on it. This is unprofessional and immature. LaCie has lost me as a customer forever. I ended up purchasing the Maxtor 5000 dv. The Maxtor drive works better, and is a better value. From now on I am sticking with Maxtor, they don't insult their customers.

Impressive Hardware.......2003-05-31

This is one of the most solid, well designed, pieces of computer hardware I have ever purchased (maybe this PC user isn't used to what Mac users have come to expect)! Heavy aluminum case - with a power switch (the main complaint in reviews of competing external drives). I compared the LaCie drive to the equivalent Western Digital, Maxtor, and Iomega units, and am completely happy with my choice. In fact, my unit contains a Western Digital drive - in a superior case!
