Cute, but doesn't last.......2007-09-18
My 3 year old son received this as a gift for Christmas last year. I loved all the features, great sound, great picture, nice for trips to visit family two states away. The only thing I didn't like is that I had to take the player out of the case to change the disc. Would have been nice to have some way of rigging it so I didn't have to completely take it apart. Unfortunately, it only lasted about 6 months. Brand new DVDs started reporting "Wrong disc" after playing for only a few minutes. Now it constantly freezes up, or reads "Wrong disc" and won't play at all. Maybe it's just too sensitive and needs to spend all it's time indoors...not out on the highway? I will not buy Coby again after this.
Stay Away From Coby!.......2007-09-07
Although it feels like it's build quality is good, it really isn't. I've had two of these players over the past 1 1/2 years. I used them at home for my child (usually playing out to a TV) and when we're on the road (a few times a year). Both broke down in a similar fashion, the controls became inoperable. Of course the warranty (90 days) had expired. Again, although this item feels like it's solidly built it always craps out. The only reason I purchased this twice was I figured the first was a fluke and it really is inexpensive compared to the others out there. I guess you could look at it as an item that needs to be repurchased every 6 to 10 months. What a shame. Perhaps it's worth spending the extra dollars for a better made item.
Does NOT last!!!.......2007-09-06
We were very pleased with it first 2 months, however, the problems then began. First, the battery door broke.Minor repair we made. Second, we kept getting the "no disc" error. After working with it for several hours, I called Coby and was told the unit was defected. Needless to say, I was told there was nothing they could do about it although it was new. Told it only had 90 day warranty, so basically throw your defected unit away and purchase a new one. After researching, I have found several others have had this very same problem but the company was unwilling to address this frequent complaint! Save your money!
Looks good but is flauty.......2007-08-20
Bought this last Christmas and it worked great for one plane trip. After that the screen would cut out after a couple of minutes.
Now its useless.

This was a good DVD player while it lasted. I got this for my daughter for Christmas. We used it probably about 30 times and it broke down about two months ago. My husband finally took a look at it (it had an error message that said "open") and the latch for opening the case broke. I called Coby customer service and they cannot do anything about it since the warranty is good for only 60 DAYS. What a waste of money. They didn't even have any nearby repair shops to recommend! I'm going on vacation in a week and now I have to buy another NEW DVD player. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed. We did not abuse the product and in fact, hardly used it. Will never buy another Coby product again. I recommend highly the warranty for a year because YOU'LL NEED IT! Just some sage advice from a very burnt customer.

Battery Dead After Four Months.......2007-07-28
I did what the others said to do when I first got this for my son. After watching a full length feature dvd with it plugged in, I shut it off and unplugged it. At first the battery lasted 5 hours. It was great! But it started to hold less and less of a charge. Now it won't hold a charge at all no matter what we do. It will still work on dc but I needed this for my son's 1 1/2 hour bus ride to school, and he cannot plug into any outlet on the bus, so we're back to square one in finding him a durable dvd player for that long ride.

Cumbersome to use, but good quility picture and fair sound. Can attach it to a TV for a larger picture. I however use it rarely because I now use my vedio IPOD which can do more with much better quality for home, and offsite program displays for differant organization.

I like this model of player for ease of use for younger children, in fact it is the second one I have purchased. But I cannot rate it as high as I would like due to the fact that both players have had problems with the "door" getting too loose and it then will not signal the DVD to start playing. I have remedied this by holding it closed with a clear elastic band. A big pain. They need to make a better latch.

I liked the screen size and the clarity of the picture. I did'nt like the fact that it does'nt come with a remote control,and the ff control on the unit ca'nt shuttle scan disk. it will only take you to the next chapter!over all a good product that could be better!

NOT PORTABLE! Has no batteries!.......2007-04-24
I purchased this "portable" DVD player in the hope of keeping my daughter somewhat pacified during our frequent flights from New York to California and was extremely disappointed. First, I was absolutely stunned to realize that there was no battery-power option whatsoever. That's right, no rechargable battery pack, no slot for disposable batteries, nothing. The only options are plugging it into a wall outlet or a cigarette lighter. To reiterate: YOU CAN ONLY USE THIS ITEM AT HOME OR IN THE CAR.
Despite my disappointment, I thought maybe it would make a decent addition to the car. To test it I plugged it into the wall outlet and put in a Baby Einstein disc. The tinny sound and stretched-out video display were tolerable. The constant momentary freezes were not. This happened with multiple discs.
I know that this is one of the cheapest portable DVD offerings out there, but I really feel that in this case you get what you pay for. I am most certainly returning my unit and I urge the rest of you not to waste your time or money on it.

I bought this at Christmas time for my daughter who is 3...she loves it.
We did have a problem with it loading DVDs when the power cord was connected and the unit was powered on with the DVD already in it...it took forever! Anyone who has this same problem do the following:
1. Remove DVD from unit, close cover and plug in power cord.
2. Power on, wait for "no disc" message.
3. Put DVD in, wait for DVD to load...should only take 10 seconds.
4. Enjoy!

This dvd player is outstanding. It's light weight, easy to use (at least my 4 year old thinks so) and is very easy to set up in a car. I haven't had a bit of trouble out of mine and its gets used extensively.
The worst portable DVD player ever!.......2005-06-20
We purchased two of these DVD players on Friday and returned them on Sunday because they are the worst portable DVD players that I have ever purchased. One unit wouldn't close all the way when you put a DVD into it, and the other one kept freezing while my daughter was watching a movie. Every time it would freeze, it would not only freeze the movie, but all the buttons on the player and on the remote. We had to unplug it and start the movie over. We even tried 4 other movies to be sure that there wasn't a defect with the DVD. No, it was the player. Not to mention the remote didn't work well unless it was practacally touching the player, it also would take a rocket scientist to figure out the remote. There are 39 buttons on the thing. Please don't waste your money on these players. The price may be good, but we learned our lesson. You get what you pay for.

Nice little DVD player.......2006-06-10
We travelled internationally a couple of months ago and the unit really worked well. The kids were kept occupied watching it for hours. The unit looks a little flimsy. However, it seemed to have held well for the travel we have done with it.
Great Little DVD Player.......2006-06-08
This little DVD player is just the thing for taking to the gym. It fits on the rack of any exercise machine. I plug in my headphones, start the movie, and run. Sometimes I run an extra 10 minutes just to finish the movie I'm watching. Afterwards, I just slip it into my gym bag. The battery has been lasting close to 3 hours. However, when I bought it, the charger it come with didn't work. I did have to buy my own charger at Radio Shack. I've been using it for 6 months now.
I have this ultra portable DVD and LOVE it........2006-01-27
This unit is so portable yet has a big 4.2" WS TFT LCD screen. It fits into my breifcase and packpack nicely. The battery run time is about 2 hours. It comes with car cord and ac adaptor to recharging. The unit is well made but the speaker is a bit small. But i use my earphones and that is not a problem. I can't leave home without it.
Cute and a lot of potential, but lacking........2006-01-11
I really liked the design and layout of this dvd player- very small and compact with built in speakers and various ports that aren't available with other dvd players. However, the material is cheap and you can feel/see that it is cheaply made. The sound quality was lacking, and the unit I received also froze 30 minutes into the movies. It was returned. I recommend the COBY TF-DVD7050 7" TFT Portable Tablet-Style DVD Player- a larger screen size but still portable enough, and very ruggedly made.

This camera is really insane..
These are five years old. The play MP3s for no reason.
The camera has errors and you must have a steady hand or else you get fuzzy pictures.
SHAKE THE CAMERA WHILE TAKING PICS.

Its an excellent camera and they should continue to sell them. It would be a disapointment if they cancel these nice camera's.I know alot of people with them and people that want to order some in canada. So please do cancel these camera's. thanks in advance

If you like the quirky pictures which a Holga, Diana, or other cameras produce; you will like this. I was originally angry at the poor quality of images as I wanted to use the camera for professional insurance work. But....I let it set in a drawer for six months and got it back out.
I experimented with it and got some interesting surreal results which I made into works of art with PhotoShop. This toy camera may be the beginning of another legendary junk camera.

This is a great Camerar with excellent battery life!
The 16 mb of flash memory holds 180 pictures at the highest image quality setting!
I have taken over 100 pictures with the flash on and my batteries are still at full power! :)
This camera is feature packed for the low cost.
It includes a video out so you can view your pictures as a slide show on your TV.
The mp3 playback qualtity is excellent as well.
The included PC software is a breeze to use and the camera could not be any easier to set up.
I highly recommend this camera as a first digital camera or as a camera for the young photographers in your house :)

This camera looks good and takes quality pictures and it's easy to set up.
It's upgradable with its Compactflash card, and it plays MP3s. What more do you want for the money.
Its not the best camera, its not the best MP3 player. But its strength is combinacity.
Its you get it that 1st thiing to do is get a larger Mem Card (you need this if you want to play MP3s. 16mb standard wont cut it) And if you upgreade the headphones, The sound quality is greatly increased.
