Onkyo's HT-S767DVC complete home theater system offers one-step simplicity and the audio/visual quality that people have come to expect from Onkyo. Six is the magic number. Onkyo has matched a 6-disc DVD/CD changer (model DV-CP701) and a 6.1-channel Dolby Digital/DTS/Dolby Pro Logic II audio/video surround receiver (model HTR-510) with a complementary 6.1-channel speaker package (model SKS-HT200) featuring 2-way front, center-channel, and surround speakers paired with an earth-moving 150-watt subwoofer. The result is the simplest way to turn your living room into your own personal movie theater.
The slim DVD player has the ability to play limitless combinations of DVD-Video, commercial CD, MP3 and WMA CD, and even your treasured digital photos on JPEG CD or Kodak Picture CD. The player employs state-of-the-art 192 kHz/24-bit audio DACs and a 54 MHz/10-bit video DAC for one of the most technologically advanced carousel changers available. Its progressive-scan video output renders seamless images on high-definition and HD-ready TVs.
The surround receiver delivers as much as 100 watts of continuous power into six 8-ohm speakers (like those that come with the system) with no more than 0.08 percent THD to fill even most of the largest rooms with dynamic, nuanced sound. The speaker mapping works out to 2 each front (left/right), center (front/rear), and surrounds (left/right).
Onkyo has gone to great length to take the guesswork out of matching speakers--critical for producing the most seamless, convincing surround-sound reproduction--by assembling a perfectly matched set of drivers. All supplied speakers feature a 2-way design with 1-inch balanced dome tweeters and color-coded speaker posts. To complete your home theater experience, a powerful 150-watt subwoofer delivers scalable, thundering bass from movies and music alike.
The user-friendly design is evident in the system's color-coded inputs and outputs. Now you'll no longer need to worry about which cable goes to which input or output. Simply attach the color-coded speaker cable to its like-colored input or output for fast and easy connections.
Want to integrate the system with your existing stereo speakers? With the subwoofer's handy crossover selector, you can set the sub's upper frequency at 60, 80, 100, 120, or 150 Hz, depending on the lower boundary of your existing speakers' bass extension. This lets you more accurately match the performance characteristics of the subwoofer to your front speakers--as well as to the bass performance of the supplied front left/right speakers as they perform in your room; each position will result in a slightly different audible frequency response.
The performance of Onkyo's higher-end receivers is available in the HT-S767DVC at a fraction of the cost of other receivers through the use of shared precision parts and circuit design (such as WRAT, Non-Scaling Configuration, and discrete output stage circuitry). Adding Onkyo exclusives like Optimum Gain Volume circuitry and CinemaFILTER simply brings out the best in your DTS/DTS-ES and Dolby Digital/Dolby Digital EX encoded movies and music. The receiver even comes with Dolby Pro Logic II processing to further enhance your enjoyment of 2-channel sources, generating discrete 5.1 surround from any stereo source.

This powerful feature acts like a telescope to produce extraordinary close-up shots, superior in clarity to those provided by digital zoom. You can also choose between four zoom speeds, so you can go from a wide angle to full telephoto zoom in 2 to 16 seconds. It also has a 700x digital zoom, which significantly increases the range of video capture when complemented with the optical zoom.
The dual Digital Electronic Image Stabilization (D-EIS) compensates for unintentional hand and camcorder movement when recording. You can also use it in playback mode to help reduce jitter in previously recorded video. Playback can be done through a VCR or quick review can be accomplished using the 2.5 inch LCD screen. Other features included are; color digital fade, motion sensor, date and time, one-touch auto fade, and programmed recording.

I bought this Panasonic PV-L353 for my Girlfriend's Christmas present last year, and it's been excellent. Many great features at a decent price. After my full size RCA movie camera died, I didn't know how well the new compact camcorders from Panasonic would perform, but we have been VERY pleased, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable easy to operate unit. We've never had a problem with it.
Worst camcorder I have ever bought........2004-04-23
I bought this camcorder less than a year ago and once again it is not working. This is the second time that something has broken on it. It is not worth the money, buy a Sony.

ok, this is one of the cheapest camcorders ive seen and it is great. i got it yesterday and i already know how to work it, its so easy and im 12 if you want an awesome, very good camcorder at a good price get this!
This Camera is great.......2004-03-05
I recently purchased this camcorder. I was not that familiar with how to use a camcorder. I spent time learning how to use this camcorder by going over the manual page by page. I had no problems with the picture,viewing, recording or setting the features to my specification. I get a good picture on the the LCD, VSH-C and the viewfinder. I have found it to be a great camcorder with multiple features that I had not seen on other models in the price range($230+).
If anyone is thinking about purchasing a camcorder, I highly recommend the Panasonic PVL353 or higher model. You will enjoy this camcorder.
DON'T BUY THIS CAMERA!.......2004-02-05
I received the camera for christmas from my family this year and I haven't been able to use it once. The picture quality is horrible, it's grainy and the colors are dull - when I zoom in on things the colors become more gray and the picture gets extremely grainy. I sent it in to get repaired and it came back with broken buttons and the picture is still horrible. Apparently the people at the factory repair place couldn't find anything wrong with it. If that is the way it is supposed to work than it is a piece of junk! This camera has just been a nightmare. The same camera from panasonic a year ago the PV-L452 is a great camera. My brother got it for christmas. The quality is amazing and the colors are really bold. If you want to buy a panasonic camera go with the older model its 10,000 times better!!!!!

How many pictures will it store?.......2004-11-06
How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.
The Lexar Media 64MB CompactFlash Digital Film Jewel Case, like most 64MB cards, will store on average 71 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 53 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 32 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 25 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 20 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.
I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

Fast Burning and of High Quality.......2007-09-06
I bought this 25-pack to back up my iTunes library.
Pro:
-Burned roughly 40 songs per minute... wow that's fast (in under 2 hours we burned all 8.65 days worth of oue music)
-Read-write capable (at speeds up to 12x)
-13 discs held 2165 songs, and since this was a 25-pack, we still have 12 left
-No problems with writing, no chipped, scratched, cracked or otherwise defective discs
-Comes with a holder and a cover that twists and "locks"
-Case could hold what I estimate is another 8 discs or 33 total if you remove the foam spacer and clear CD-shaped protector
-Minimal packaging waste to deal with and easy to open, no act of congress to open
-Very good price and even better value
-"Sharpie" ink pen writes on surface ok
Con:
-Disc graphics are annoying, no significant clear space/area to write... surface covered with small "silver squares" that dot almost the entire surface
Neutral:
-Top is clear #5 plastic (base is black #5 plastic), good for seeing inside, bad for letting in UV light (hence the nuetral)
Bottom line: Highly recommended.
