I had problems with power supply unit of my notebook. I tried changing battery and ac adapter. This COMPAQ Presario 3000 AC Adapter works fine with my notebook but I had some other issue and my oder adapter was found to be ok. so I returned the product. Accessory ginie were very helpful and prompt in response.

Having a compaq R3230us thought this would work. It did not. Does not work with all of the 3000 series. Had no problems returning it.

Good - not excellent.......2006-03-18

First of all, I was delighted to find a radio/casssette player on the market, since they have all but disappeared. An added plus was its being a Panasonic brand, which I have always found to be very satisfactory.
In general I am pleased with the product. The radio seems to have a fine sound. I am disapppointed, however, with the sound quality of the cassette player. Scratchy.

Nice traditional unit.......2004-05-24

This is a nice unit, all analog, good amplification with good room filling sound. Recording off the FM tuner their's almost no degration of playback sound. Sensitive microphone, picks up outside sounds and voice clearly. Tone control works well, uniformly turning down only the treble, which is nice for tapes that have a really sharp treble. Tape transport is smooth and handles tapes gently. I removed the cover, inside is quality and the speakers have large magnets. AM has excellent sensitivity, but slight quircks with FM, occasionally hearing 2 stations at the same time. Their's not much movement on tuner knob. I wish AFC was added to FM, as this would help prevent drift and make for easier "dialing in" of stations. FM static can be annoying, but directing the line cord-antenna carefully gets rid of it for the most part or switching to FM mono for weak stations but then you won't hear the spacious stereo sound. The FM tuner on this all analog unit could have been a little more refined but I can live with it.
Overall a great compact simple low priced boombox. Now if only Panasonic would bring back their beautiful boomboxes of the early 80's? Perhaps a Special Edition? In silver?

Blast from the Past.......2004-01-06

I had one of these little guys back when I was 14. I am almost 23 now and I have to say, these things will take massive punishment and STILL work amazingly well. The technology is dated, to be sure (Since we now have handheld video camera's that record on CD-R's in real time) but if your looking for something to take to work and want to be comfortable leaving it laying around and want to just have it on the radio, this is it. I remember they had amazing sound and clarity. I would say if your going to leave it in one place, and wanted to update it, hook it to your CD player with a cassette adapter. It will sound great. Great for work, but bad for home. Why? ITS OLDER TECHNOLOGY! 'Nuff said. But great if you wanna go retro and listen to some old beats and break dance!! :D

I purchased this item because of the name Panasonic and also I was looking for a SMALL UNIT to carry to work I saw the word MINI and thought it was small as they did NOT include the dimension of the unit now I have to pay for returning it and the inconvience DO NOT USE THE WORDING MINI IT IS VERY DECEIVING PLEASE GIVE DEMENSIONS WHEN DESCRIBING ITEMS TO BE ORDERED OVER THE NET.

Great for voice recording.......2002-10-01

I've used this recorder for about four years to record my voice lessons. It's WONDERFUL. I literally spent a couple hours listening to different recorders in the store to find one that would record clearly and capture signals hot enough to hear easily. This one was the best by far! The compact Memorex MDP8507CP not only plays MP3 files burned to CD, but also professionally recorded CDs, CD-R and CD-RW discs. A key feature to this player is the included car kit. Combine the cassette and DC adaptors with the forty-five seconds of anti-skip coverage (120 seconds for MP3 files) and you have a nice option for a vehicle CD player. Playback options include twenty-one track programming, as well as random and repeat (single track, all tracks). Use the extensive search mode to find music by subject, title or artist. An auxiliary output lets you hook the player up to your home system through a stereo Y interconnect (not supplied).

The four-line text and numeric LCD simplifies file maintenance and offers scrolling text so you can read the full artist name and song title. The player supports MP3 bit rates of 32, 64, 96, 128, 192, and 256 Kbps, as well as variable bit-rate recordings (MP3 format ISO 9660). A hold switch prevents unintended interruptions in playback and saves batteries by negating playback when the player is stopped. Dynamic bass boost system (DBBS) heightens the impact of low frequencies. The player also contains an electronic equalizer which provides superior sound quality. The player runs on two AA batteries (not supplied.) This unit does NOT include an AC adaptor.

I'm so sad that this just died! I used it continuously for 2.5 years, and it never let me down. I dropped it a number of times, and it kept right on working. It was well worth the price and I hope I can find another one!

It was really frustrating considering I dropped quite a few dollars on this machine..to discover that 4 months later..the screen went out and now the thing will only turn on when plugged into the wall. I have tried 3 - 4 sets of new battaries all to no avail...granted memorex offers great products cheaper then sony or others..but i tell you ...the things die just when the warranty expires. No more memmorex anything for me!

Memorex does it again, this is my third MP3 CD Player from Memorex, they were on board with the technology from day one, and having owned three of these now, I see the progression, and improvement of their product with every one that I purchase. The others served me well, very well in fact, the first one I gave to a friend, the second tok a 3 story tumble, landed on it's side and exploded, this is the replacement. I work construction, and can pack an entire days worth of music on an MP3 CD. I will buy MP3 CD Players from Memorex as long as they continue to make them.....

This cd player seemed great for about the first 2 months. It cost about $.... Then it began to malfunction and broke down completely. I took it back and exchanged it for an identical replacement. That one just broke (only one month this time)... which is why im writing this review. What I learned is that I like using mp3s, but that you get what you pay for. This one doesn't make the grade.

Good unit.......2003-04-23

I bought this unit when I was going on a trip in novmber 2002 and it has been playing non stop ever since. I use it in car for audio books and short of a resume feature this unit kicks ass. I found the slower you record your CD's the better performance you have with this unit.I plan on buying another in case this one craps out.
