The Gemini is a simple to operate, mid-level throughput duplicator that does not require a PC. Single Button operation and twin high-speed drives make the Gemini an easy way to copy quickly and painlessly. The master disc and blanks are inserted in the Gemini's 100 disc input hopper. When the start button is pressed, the master is read first by the recorders. A disc image is created on the Gemini's hard drive, and burned to the subsequent blanks in the recorder. Finished discs are dropped into the caddy below. If Gemini finds another master disc in the input, it will overwrite the hard drive image and start recording the new data to the following blank discs.

Frustration.......2005-12-16

I'm pretty tech savy and rarely have a problem with anything...but, this product is very ticky and frustrating. First, I ordered the 100 DVD machine listed with Amazon, but received the 50 disc with 8x burners. The explanation I was given was that the 100
jammed so they had replaced it. I've been working pretty steady for about 2 days, and I've got about 100 DVDs burned. The machine constantly jams, partially burns disks, and has been very frustrating and definitely not worth the money I paid. Luckily, I have
8 Macs with DVD burners that I've been manually burning on to complete my project.
I'm using high-end, name-brand DVDs (16X). I haven't had a single bad burn on the Macs, but I have a stack of about 20 bad discs from the Gemini. Needs improvement!

It's a good player...but nothing is perfect........2002-02-20

First of all I'll start off by saying that this player is as close to unskibable as you can get. I have put this thing through hell, I just recently slammed it into a desk as hard as I could just to show it off to my friends and it didn't miss a beat. I in fact hit it so hard it knocked the battery cover totally off of it, and still it didn't skip. The sound is pretty good, the XBS system on it really helps, but when you turn the volume up to high with the XBS on you hear a lot of distortion on most headphones. But the major flaw this CD player has is its weight and size. The thing is massive compared to the new-generation of "fit in your pocket" CD players. Also, the thing is heavy, very heavy.

Another downfall of the product is the LCD screen is almost impossible to see in some light. The people at Panasonic thought that if they had the LCD screen also covered by the lid of the CD player that it would protect the screen better. It does this job, and well, but the screen is covered by a seperate piece of plastic that is at just the right angle that it makes it very hard to see what the screen is saying.

So, to generalize, if you are looking for a CD player that is indestructable and won't skip on you, then this is your player. But for the rest of you that want a good player that doesn't skip that often and has good sound for a little less money, this isn't worth it. It isn't THAT good.

It works great with my computer, but maybe because it's wireless, tilt does not always work and lags sometimes. I like its groovy color and it's a pretty good value, I guess. I recommend the newest logitech mouse instead of this wireless mouse unless you have a desktop and really want no wires hanging behind your desk.

There is no mention in the manual or website that this mouse only works with Win2K or WinXP. I think this should definitely be told to the customer upfront. I can use it on my daughter's computer, but it stinks that I can't use it on mine.
