Works for a while.......2007-08-11
I had one of these and it worked great for a while, and almost considered buying another one. One day I plugged it in like normal to the same computer I used it on all the time, and it caused my USB port to start smoking, the converter started clicking and damaged the hard drive I had plugged into it. Cheap way to damage a lot of equipment.
Looks great - doesn't work.......2007-05-07
I plugged this into a 3.5 inch IDE drive. I started getting error messages immediately. I could transfer about 100MB and it would stop. It was a frustrating experience. I sent an e-mail to the manufacturer tech department but didn't hear anything from them. I would return it if I could figure out who to return it to. I gave it one star because I was able to copy some files.
Real multi-purpose!.......2007-04-07
I've now purchased three of these devices. I got one for myself couple months back, and two for my friends since. It's come in quite handy at work too.. so much so that they ordered a couple for our offices! It's just so compact and useful. Definitely a great buy!
BAD PRODUCT!.......2007-03-26
This product killed my USB ports, and before I knew what was going on, it killed 2 SATA disk drives. There is NO manufacture contact info in the brochure and there is NO product warranty of any kind mentioned in the brochure. BUY AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I'd give this product -10 stars if I could!

Purchased last week and used to backup a failed SATA HD. Also used on IDE HD with no problems. Not sure what problems the other reviewer had but could have been with the converter or could have been with his system.

Good buy.......2007-03-22
This enclosure is fairly inexpensive for a 5.25" and it snugly holds my DVDRW Drive. I also put a 3.5" HD in one. There aren't any mounting screws with it which is a little irritating (only reason I didn't give it 5 stars). Cooling fans can be a litle noisy, but not too bad. An auto-off feature would have been really nice too. Despite my nit-pickyness I'd say its worth every penny. THey look nice, are flexible, and are giving me worry free performance.

It's a very nice looking enclosure & very easy to open and attach my dvd burner. The biggest problem with it is the fan noise. It's very loud, crazy loud. They could have used a universal power cord to make it easier to replace in case of loss.
I'm keeping it though... so it works for when I need it.

I've had it for about a month now. Setup was a breeze. I haven't worked it too hard, but transfer rate is fine, and it doesn't even get warm, and I will leave it on for days at a time.

Perfect right out of the box!.......2007-03-14
I purchased this enclosure for my Plextor 716A DVD RW Drive. Installation and connections were simple. After plugging it in and turning it on, my new Dell PC with Vista Basic loaded the necessary drivers and we were off! I didn't even need to use the loading disc supplied!
The DVD drive functions flawlessly through this enclosure, whether I am sending data to my PC or burning DVDs. I haven't had a single error yet! The Plextor seems to work as fast now as when I had installed inside my old PC. Operation is smooth and quiet, the enclosure stays nice and cool.
I can recommend this product with no reservations. I give it an A.

Good inexpensive IDE enclosure, which is easy to install and preforms read / write operations faster then expected. However, note that you CAN NOT format or partition the drive in the external enclosure. I also tried installing a CD ROM drive in the enclosure, which Windows (Win2K) recognizes, but will NOT read.

I bought the yellow one a few weeks back and absolutely loved it! My pictures turned out great! While you can get the film developed at a Big Box Store, my advice is don't. While the pics you get back will have the yellow (or other color) tint, the color isn't as true as it would be if you went to a camera shop and had them develop the photos. It's a fun little camera and I recommend it for anyone who wants to take funky photos.
piece of crap for the money........2007-07-04
i bought a red and blue one and the flash worked twice on the blue before it stopped and it won't even flash on my red one. the photos turned out granular and horrible. only about 3 turned out completely. i don't think that it's worth the money, you're much better off buying a regular disposable and putting a piece of blue plastic in front of the flash.
A Pocket Full of Fun!.......2007-06-28
Since receiving this camera, I've been completely attached to it. I've taken it everywhere I go, even to the gym. It came with easy instructions to re-use it and I'd also like to note that you don't HAVE to use the colored film over the flash. It easily slides out of the way in case you want photos without a blue tint. Very neat. I'm now ordering the Green one with Red and Yellow next on my list.
