Not a bad little player: battery life is good; sound quality can be good (get better headphones though), and you get 5GB crammed into an incredibly small amount of space. All of that said though, it is not very friendly to use - as others have stated, the scroll wheel can be fiddly and this leads you to jumping about all over the place, the screen can be very difficult to read, but the biggest bug bear of all for me is that this damn machine will not play album tracks in the album order - everything goes into alphabetical order. 25 years after the PC was invented and this thing reels tracks off in rote like a demented teacher! Make that 2 *'s.

I had read alot of reviews on the Neeon before buying it and heaps were negative about crashing problems and bad navigation. Well the navigation isn't great but my player hasn't crashed once.

ACCESSORIES - Came with Headphones, Pouch, 1 stik on piece and a belt strap thing that I don't use. 1 year warranty although 3 year was offered for an extra [...], unfortulantley didn't have enough$$$ on me.
SOUND QUALITY - The sound is great though can get a bit distorted if you use the rock EQ on it. Once you find the best EQ it is great, although i'm not fussy with the quality of the sound as long as it's not distorted. The headphones that it came with are great although I can see the fuzzy protection stuff will come of it after a while but they are the most comfortable there are, I don't mind if I have to buy more.
USER INTERFACE - The user interface is at times annoying. The Neeon doesn't fit that well into my hand and the wheel is sometimes a bit awkward to accsess. It's not that great if you have alot of arists and if you have to scroll alot and it's hard to push in sometimes. However, it gets better with practice. The I Pod Nano is much easier to navigate. Having said this it is only a minor annoyance.
SOME COMMENTS - I think the Neeon is a great model. I wasn't sure about it's reliability with the posts on the creative forums and it still might not be but the only problems i've had so far are the minor ones which are meant to be there due to it's design. I think you either love or hate the design. I personally love it, the screen is a bit too small and it seems a bit of a waste of space below the screen but I suppose that is nessacary with the ammount of memory put in such a small model. It looks great, the plain black front and silver backing is very stylish although the stick on that came with it is a bit too bright for my taste so I probably won't use it. The different coloured backlights are nice but really aren't that nessacary. No complaints though.

Organising music although lengthy is very easy. I still haven't installed any of the software due to issues with the installation disc on my [...] computer but the simple, drag and drop method is fine for me. There's software as well but I didn't want to use it.

Overall, it has been worth my money so far and it's better than I expected. 6 gig for [...](AUS) is the best you can really get here for a quality brand I would prefer this than a 2 or 4 gig I Pod.

SUGGESTIONS - A clock would be nice as well with some games and a bigger screen. I think a larger scrolling wheel on the front of the player would be better. It would be nice if it came with both a power adapter and usb adapter for charging as the usb takes a long time to charge it. A protective case would be nice.
BATTERY LIFE - I haven't really timed it but around 10-12 hours. No complaints there.

Not bad, but could be better..........2006-03-25

Overall, I would only recommend the Zen Neeon if you're someone who doesn't get frustrated easily. There is no doubt that this is a temperamental player and you often have to play around with it for a while to get it to work. Patience is key! However, if all you care about is low cost and a lot of space, you should definitely consider the Neeon.

PROS:
1.) 5 GB of space for only $179.99! When I was doing research, I found that most players that have that much space are in the $200-300 range so the Neeon was definitely a good buy, in my opinion.
2.) It's tiny and light-weight.
3.) I like that you can change backlight color...pretty cool. This is really my first mp3 player though so maybe you can always do that.
4.) I have my songs organized into folders by artist and the shuffle mode takes songs from all the different folders. This is probably an obvious feature, but I figured I'd point it out.
5.) The battery life seems to be good. I made all my settings be as efficient as possible though (lowered the contrast and set the backlight to only stay on for 3 seconds or something...there are recommendations in the manual).
6.) I only have about 775 songs on my player right now so I haven't experienced any space issues (I saw that someone else had problems with this though so maybe I'll have trouble later on).

CONS:
1.) Okay, I had MAJOR issues with the player when I first began to set it up (end of February 2006). It would freeze, the scroll button wouldn't have any effect at random times, I had to press the reset button a whole bunch of times. Then I went to a Creative support forum for the Neeon and realized I needed to download firmware for the player (you can do this here -- sorry, I couldn't get HTML to work so I'll just copy and paste the whole link: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp?sOSName=Windows+XP®ion=1&Product_Name=Zen+Neeon+5GB%2F6GB&Product_ID=12214&modelnumber=&driverlang=1033&OS=10&drivertype=4&Image4.x=24&Image4.y=11). My player has only frozen about 2 times since that (free) download, which I think is pretty good.
2.) The player is SLOW...not gonna lie. I don't know if all mp3 players take a long time to switch songs, but it seems a bit excessive with the Neeon. Also, the time is takes from when you press the "on" button to when you can actually play music is pretty frustrating.
3.) Something about the shuffle/random mode isn't right. There are a bunch of different options (like shuffle once, random repeat, shuffle folder), but I haven't found one that really does what I want. I have 775 songs, but it seems like there are certain songs that get played wayyy more frequently than others. Maybe it's because the player doesn't "remember" what songs had already been played from the last time I was using it. I've noticed that the randomizer seems to work better when the battery is fully charged though (but that might just be a coincidence).
4.) The scroll button is just weird and sort of hard to use until you get used to it.

I've had this MP3 player for about a month now and it works pretty well. The main reason I bought this player over similar players with more functions is that I didn't want to be locked into having to use software to transfer my music and podcasts. Through the years of creating MP3 CDs, I already have my music sorted by genre, etc. via the folders they already reside in. So this player does that part superbly; however there are a couple things I've noticed. Like I've read in other reviews the scroll wheel is a little tricky and it sometimes takes several tries to get the song you want when browsing through your folders.

I also wish it had the ability to bookmark for the times I'm unable to finish a long podcast by the time I get to work and want to save it for the ride home. Instead I have to remember where I was at and fast forward to that spot. That can be a hassle when you are 30 or so minutes into an hour podcast.

Also, the volume is just not hardly loud enough when listening to it through an FM transmitter in your car; however that's because there's not a lot of battery power to power more than your headphones which has plenty of volume. So I understand that and realize it might not be much different with any other MP3 player. So, I had to buy this gadget called a Boostaroo that plugs in between the FM transmitter and player to help boost the volume. It made a big difference.

Overall, it does what I need and I guess that's all I can ask for.

It is a awesome mp3 player. Its screen can be easily read and you can enjoy a glow of 7 different colors. It has tons of space for your songs (5GB). Its radio is also quite useful if you want to listen to the news or some sports game. Honestly, I think the stick ons make the nice original go away but there are some pretty nice ones that haven't come out yet like the "BOLD" series. Great Binos.......2007-09-15

Pentax DCF WP binoculars are great. I bought mine about 4 years ago. I have been very pleased. I was considering Leica and Swarovski in addition to these. The only advantage I found with Swarovski is that the lens protection covers are an actual engineered part of the system and work great. No covers are provided for the objectives with Pentax. I use mine allot in the rain and snow so this is important to me. However at about 1/3 the price and with very comparable performance, I chose the Pentax. I have not regretted this one bit. I bought some flip up caps from the local sporting goods store that work pretty well for about $30.

They are also very good at gathering light. Before dawn and in twilight is when these excel. The rubber coating is very comfortable and durable. The retractable eye cups also work very well. I wear glasses and switch between looking through the Binos with my glasses on and off. They adjust quickly and are a durable design.

I use the binoculars in tough conditions and don't worry about them as much as I would if I spent over a thousand bucks on them. They have been a great asset, and based on their performance over the last 4 years, I am sure the will last me for the next 30+ years.

If you have a beer budget but champagne taste, then buy the over thousand dollar Zeiss, Leica, or Swarovski binoculars! But, for quality per dollar spent, you can't go wrong with these. I had their compact 10x28's, but wanted more light gathering ability in low dusk type conditions. Since I don't backpack anymore, I didn't need the light weight of the compact. But these are not "heavy" by any means. 10 power is about the limit for a hand held optical instrument, but that's all I've ever used, so I'm comfortable with it. The quality of these optics will allow you use them all day without undue eye fatigue. A very good quality binocular, in my opinion.

I got these for free when I bought a Motorola Cell Phone back in 2003,and Firstly I thought they were nothing but radio toys that had a maximum of 30 feet range but what a surprise when I got one of them out of the house(my brother kept the other one in the house) and I started gettin far and far away from the the place and discovered that they had a over 2 mile range! and in the city!

Its really nice to know theres an option to disable the animated sounds(mickey,donald,goof,daisy,etc) because sometimes theyre really annoying,specially when youre surrounded by too many people paying attention to every move you do.

Bought these at least a year ago and held onto them until I thought my daughter was old enough to use them. Glad I got them when I did because they are very hard to locate now. I'd read the reviews about the annoying voices and was glad to see that it is in the directions to turn that off. (But my daughter hasn't asked to yet.) I've used Motorola, Uniden and Audiovox and these are a super simple design and perfectly kid sized. I'm not that big a princess fan but boy are they cute.

I bought the princess radios for my niece, and they work great. Contrary to other reviews, the annoying voices after transmission can be turned off, which I recommend doing. If you read the manual it tells you how to do it. Overall a great buy. I'm considering buying the buzz-lightyear ones for my nephew.

Good AutoFocus for a great price.......2000-06-26

I have been a satisfied Minolta camera user since 17 years. I had bought this camera for about $50 and then used it for 3 years after which I lost it. Every indoor/outdoor picture that I had taken with it was good. For twenty bucks, this is an excellent valued camera with good features.

I bought this camera as a beginer, and it was a bit to much advanced. It does have some very handy features, like 3 flash modes, but it is much to complexed for beginers. For advanced people, it doesnt have all the bells and whistles you would want (my neighbour, who is crazy about photography said that)
