I owned this device for 5 months and it just stopped working... I went though all the proper channels for repair and was told they want at least $25.00 to "work" on my warranty repair. It turns out only parts are covered for a year and labor only for 3 months. This is NOT what I call standing behind your product.
DON'T BUY CREATIVE PRODUCTS! Not only are they poorly made, but Creative knows this and doesn't stand behind their own products.

Why WhY WHY do companies always discontinue their bombproof, proven and reliable products in favor of the latest, greatest and inherantly buggy? Stupid move, Creative. This player is phenomonal. The Zen Stone Plus - it's presumed replacement - isn't even close. Sigh.
Great Until It Quit After 13 Months.......2007-06-21
I owned my Zen Nano Plus for 13 months before it stopped working. The LCD will still light up for a few seconds after I try to power up, then it shuts down. My computer won't recognize it, so I can't update firmware. Since I'm 13 months out, I can't get any support from Creative, except for paying $13. I'm going to buy a different, cheaper brand. I dont expect things to last forever, but 13 months? C'mon.

I bought this for my mom sometime late last year and she loves it! It's great for a long daily commute or jog. It's so tiny and she no longer feels the need to lug around her CD player and CDs...I've put all her favories in the mp3 player. The headphones aren't that bad, but it all depends on the person and individual comfort. I came close to buying her an ipod but realized that I would have to buy a separate piece to have radio. The zen nano already has radio which is a huge PLUS if you need a break from listening to your own tunes. I recently dropped my beloved ipod and now it's BROKEN!!! so today I will BUY a zen nano until i'm able to get it repaired...if i get it repaired b/c the zen nano will do the job just fine. Buying batteries isn't such a big deal for us..our office supplies bulk batteries and we use those..shhh. each player has its own pros and cons for battery life vs rechargable in a portable player..so weigh your options and decided what's best for you!

Very good sound and lots of space for music. It took a while to figure out how to put the songs in order and once I figured out how to use the software it was easy. Compact size is convenient. Head phones won't stay in my ears.

MP3 Buyers Beware!.......2006-06-13
I purchased this product in December 2005 and began having problems shortly thereafter. It began when the product started powering off after a few seconds of play and now it won't power on at all. All the "fixes" that Creative suggested did not work and they want me to pay them more money to diagnose the problem. There is a major flaw in this product which probably explains why it is now listed on Amazon for about 50% less than I paid for it just a few short months ago. I refuse to give up any more of my cash on such an inferior product. Amazon please stop selling this product to unsuspecting consumers and offer to refund the purchase price to those of us who have already been ripped off!

It stopped working for no reason at all (beside it being junk) after just one month. Creative also wants ME to foot the repair bill. No thanks, but I'd rather throw it away than send these con-artists any more of my money.

Little latch that hold the battery door broke off! Other than that I would say it's the best mp3 player I've ever had, and I've had plenty! It's small, lightweight, uses replaceable batteries, has good sound, does audible books, never crashes, takes a licking and keeps on ticking, HAS DRAG AND DROP FILE TRANSFER, and lasts forever (I've had mine for about 2 years of constant daily use at work!) I kind of wish it would die so I could upgrade, LOL!
The Nano could be improved, however. It could be louder (make sure you record at a high level!) It could have a better scroll button (it's kind of hard to advance to the next song without bringing up the menu)! The battery door WILL break after enough time! Could have better earbuds (they are WAY too big for my ears and fall out quickly!) The voice recording should give you a better choice of format (wav files are SO big, I would like to have voice recording at like 32kps mp3.)
I would like to upgrade to a 2 gig model of some kind, but I'm afraid whatever I buy will give me grief, like most of the other mp3 players I've had. Maybe I'll just upgrade to the 1gb creative nano, although I would like to like the Apple Nano Ipod. I'm just afraid I will be disappointed in the Nano like I was when I bought a 10gb Ipod. It was supposed to be SO great and all that, and I was really disappointed.
I've looked at Cowon, Iriver, Samsung, Toshiba, Sandisk, Olympus m:robe, Apple, Creative Zen, and many others, and I just can't find one that has the features I want like the Creative Nano! It really is hard to beat the Creative Nano. The one that does come closest is the Nano Ipod, though it is 50% more expensive (doesn't Creative care about them stealing the Nano name?) I like the sturdy construction, the sex appeal, the color screen, and GUI of the Ipod. I dont like the nonreplaceable battery, having to use Itunes, and the fact that it's an Apple product. Hmmm.
IF YOU START HAVING SHUT DOWN PROBLEMS..........2006-03-17
Let me save you some time... if your player starts shutting down, tech support will tell you it's a DRM thing and that you have to use a specific program to transfer files, that you have to upgrade the firmware and drivers off of their site. It all works pretty well, although a clumsy process... but if you want your unit to continue to function properly, you need an older driver. Try to find this version: ZenNanoPlus_PCFW_LF_1_10_03 (it's the version before the current one, so it's bound to be floating around out there somewhere... just keep looking or demand it from Creative) - I just reformatted and flashed my firmware using this version and it now works just fine. GOOD LUCK!!! [...]
I should also mention that this would be the PERFECT player if:
1) the little tooth on the battery compartment sliding door didn't break off so EASILY.
2) The firmware wasn't sush a mess (they blame record labels and DRM restrictions...)
3) and the recording quality was something better than, like about 32 kHz wav. 192 mp3 would be better.
Otherwise I LOVE the unit and the ease of operation.

Teerible tv. It has a terrible picture. I bought this tv a couple of weeks ago and I dislike it. The day I got it I happy because I have very little to do in my small college room, it was ok the first day, then the next day the tv did not respond. I changed the channal and it took 5 seconds before it respond, the 20 seconds before the sound came out. The voulme it took 10 seconds before the volume changed. I had to unplug it for it to work again. I am not the only one 3 of my friends bought this same tv and they have the same problems I was the only one who bought it online the rest in a retail store. I think it is ok it is only for college but if I had bought it for my home then I would have return it, the other person to rate this pruduct says this tv is a good one i think it is terrible, I did not gave this tv a one becuase it was sufficiently good to keep.
But don't buy if you are planning to get a tv. I wish now that some one would have advice me this.

So of course I love this TV. I put it in the kitchen but I think I'll get another for my bedroom. The front jacks make it easy to hook up my game systems. I also like the earphone jack so I can crank up the volume and not bother anyone.

This is a great looking television! The blue finish is sort of metallic which gives it a different look than ordinary black TVs. I put it in my bedroom and it is the best picture in my house. It has a remote that is easy to use and a lot of automatic features that I love! Great gift for someone!

I love all the automatic features on this little television. My favorite is the auto picture feature so you can watch sports, movies, games, etc. and get the best possible picture for each. It has a similar setting for the sound that actually will lower the sound of loud commercials. I thought these features only came on larger more expensive TVs!

You get what you pay for!.......2005-03-30
I just bought this item and installed it into my printer and all I get is a green smudge across my page. No other colors appeared, and I just changed the black cartridge (which I purchased from Hewlett Packard, so I know it is good). This product is not worth the money at any price. I figured by the cost it would not be up to the standards of the original, but this is not even close, I am going to have to throw it out and buy a new one from a reputable dealership. Do not waste your money.

Amazing at first........2007-07-31
I was very surprised at how strong the beam was initially. Problem was that the unit is very cheaply made and the contact point with the button became loose by the 2nd hour of operation. This resulted in an inconsistent beam that worked only part of the time.

I just received my item and after testing it out, the beam is barely visible in daylight. Night time it may go its "600 feet" distance, but the beam is VERY small, and VERY weak. I tried it with some brand new batteries and same effect. it only operates at 5mw of power

the unit is not stable. The laser has deffects in size and the intensity is variable. Beaware, maybe I got a deffective one so I am thinking about returning it.

Excellent laser pointer, brighter than most I've seen, and at quite a reasonable price. I am very happy with it.

After countless purchases of crappy laser pointers that eat the batteries (yes those small possibly swallowable batteries)I finally found one that has yet to dissappoint me. Sure red is a cool color and all and those laser pointers may have been cheaper on cost, they cannot measure up to this MiracleBeam Green Laser pointer. I've abused the heck out of this thing and the batteries have held up (This puppy takes AAA batteries by the way) So lets review
1 - Much powerful laser beam (which puts the red to shame)You can aim this thing up at night and see it's path on most occassions
2 - It takes AAA batteries not those easily lost watch batteries
3 - A green laser so people won't think "OMG a red laser duck!"
My cat and my guinea pig get a kick out of it (I'm sure dogs would too)Sure it may seem pricey but its worth it. I now wonder what other colors for laser pointers are out there.
