Unacceptable Display Quality & Very Poor Customer Service.......2006-12-11

I purchased this Philips HDTV Monitor in June of 2006. Right out of the box, the display was wavy on the sides, and pinched in when high contrast colors were displayed on the screen (see images in customer gallery above). After a lengthy (5 month) repair process, expiration of Philips' 30-day return policy and expiration of the 90-day warranty, I was told by Philips that there is nothing wrong with television, they will not attempt to repair it, and that a refund/return was not possible, and that I was "stuck with it" (actual words from a Philips' customer service rep). Even after a letter to the CEO I am still "stuck with" this television.

DO NOT BUY unless you want a cheap, poor quality display. In my opinion, its not worth it at any price.

Great TV for the money!.......2004-11-14

I have had this TV for about 3 months now and love the picture. I have VOOM HD and the high definition pictures are outstanding. The sound is fine, but I use my stereo for watching movies. So for an inexpensive HD TV, this has been a great choice for me.

I have this scanner at home for personal use and have used it to scan in a lot of my old photos. I think the pictures turn out great! The quality is at least as good as my digital camera. I run the software on Win XP and I have had no problems. It is so simple even my computer illiterate in-laws run it effortlessly.

i would like to have software for my mustek 1200cu scanner i really need help, i can scan but nothing else, i was told that i needed software, please HELP.

This scanner arrived and immediately would not function. I use XP, and the software stated it would only run on Windows 95(!).
When I went to the Mustek website, it offered a 9 part download to update the software. The problem is that the Mustek website is so incompetent that the connection for the download was at about 400bytes per second (with me using DSL). It would be better to return the scanner then to sit through the 18 hour download.
Having known people who have used terrible Mustek scanners in the past, I am surprised that this company is still in business. I suspect they may not even really exist.

The only scanner for my hard earned dollar is the Mustek Bear paw Scanner.
This handy slim item weighs only 6 lbs., and has 5 features in one.

This was my very first scanner and was extremely excited about buying it. I love the BearPaw features that lets you scan, copy, e-mail and fax right from your desktop. The USB connection was great. The software that was bundled with my scanner is very weak. But they also tell you that you are stuck with the software that it came with. That means no upgrades. The scanner is extremely slow. I would not recommend this scanner for a large project unless you have 1/2 day to complete it.There is no manual and your web advviser may or may not know what to do. It is difficult to import and export pictures..But you get what you pay for.I would recommend this for home use only.

I am a professional photographer who needs my monitor to exactly match the prints I get back from the lab. After 2 months and 16 calibrations, I can say the Monaco X-Rite is an excellent monitor calibration system that I strongly reccomend to anyone who needs to see corrected colors.
I use CRT monitors (one 2 years old, one 4 years old) and previously used a ColorVision product. The colorvision did fine with my newer monitor, but the older one had a strong green cast that was unacceptable. The Monaco does exactly what it should, the software is easy to use and it is pretty fast to calibrate. Initial setup took 20 minutes and I now recalibrate once a week which takes 2-3 minutes per monitor. My only complaint is that it does not come with some sort of storage case.
This is a must have product for Pro's and at this price even amateur photographers should consider the investment. I would not hesitate to purchase it again.
