After Owning this TV (Phillips 27PT41B 27" with 10Watt dbx stereo
sound)for such a very short time. , I can truly say I like the TV but it has only been a month and the sound on my TV just stop playing. I am very upset that this has happened after I have paid my money. If someone can tell me what to do I would be very happy. I wanted to settle this via phone but I was not given a number in which to call.

For [the price] this television can't be beat! It has a lot of extras that you don't get with most TVs in this price range including the flat picture tube and a digital comb filter. All of this combines for a most awesome picture at a really good price.

Decent item, but caveat emptor.......2000-03-29
The Maxtech-910 is a nice little PPC, but take it for what it is and nothing more.
Maxtech went out of business on 4/1/00, so the warranty is worth about as much as the paper it's printed on. Needless to say, forget about tech support either. I had a question and a very bitter and surly, soon to be unemployed person responded.
The unit functions well and I've had no problems with it over the last 24 hours or so that I've owned it...only time will tell. No problem running any of the software that I've downloaded.
The contrast could be better and the backlight only helps in some situations...in others it actually makes it worse.
As a cheaper alternative to the more costly CE based devices, it probably serves alright. I'm certainly less inclined to worry about it getting heisted. The OS is generic (all of the CE's run on the same thing), so it might be a good way to decide if CE is right for you.
I prefer CE to palm, but others seem to feel just the opposite.
I'm a little disappointed in Amazon for not being a little more honest and coming right out and saying that the company was no longer in business. I probably wouldn't have bought this exact item, had I known that.

Caution for USB users.......2004-01-31
I only give this product one star soley because I cannot use this item. Most of us I assume will use a USB connetion for a gamepad, so I ordered this item assuming it was USB, it does not state in the description otherwise.
If you have a gameport, then this will work for you.
