my son got this 2 years ago when he was a year old. it was always on a shelf and controlled by an adult. the first one we had didn't work straight out of the box. we exchanged it for another one, but it hasn't worked all that great either. it played some cd's and not others (none of our cd's were damaged). the cd player finally just stopped working. looking for a new one that actually works.

We purchased this cd player for our child and the music quality was so apalling we had to return it - twice - thinking the first one was a fluke. That says a lot, as we didn't have high standards for the required sound quality (it's for a 21 month old). Our biggest issue was the static that played right along with the music.

We purchased this cd player for our son to listen to at night at bedtime. It appealed to us because it seemed to be built pretty tough and seemed to be un-cluttered and easy enough for a four year old to use. It never worked quite right. Most of the time it did not work at all. It finally just stopped working and Target exchanged it for us without any problem. After about six months, the replacement unit is now not working. This time I hope that Target will just refund us. Pass this one up.

Horrible Radio.......2007-08-01
This is a horrible clock radio. When the radio or CD player is turned on, the device has a terrible buzz. It is so loud we can hear it through our baby monitor (this radio is in the baby's room). In addition, the clock does not accurately keep time. It runs fast. Within 2-3 weeks it is 2-5 minutes ahead.

I bought it from Chicago two year back, and now I am playing it in India it working fentastic with FM/AM but CD player is not working properly. But I am sure it will be fixed in one dollar here (Cheap India and Expert India). So am I am kind of over all happy with this product.
I would recomond to others to go with this.. dont thing just buy it.
Noisy in CD mode.......2005-12-01
This CD alarm radio is a nice looking unit and has all the features I wanted on it. The only problem is that when you play a CD there is a loud humming noise that is quite annoying. Try to listen to a CD at a low sound level and the humming will drive you crazy. If you just want an inexpensive CD alarm then go for it. If you want to listen to CD's as you fall asleep forget it.
Not a Total P.O.S..........2005-09-25
The only reason I gave this thing 1 star and don't consider it a TOTAL P.O.S. is because the alarm clock still works. The radio picks up more static than radio stations. The CD player stopped working after about 2 months and the warranty is insulting. I paid about $30 for this alarm clock and they want $20 to fix it, plus s&h. Why is it so freaking hard to make a CD player alarm clock that isn't garbage?

I got this clock im January and I am quite impressed by its performance.I did see the bad reviews and entirely agree with the previous reviewer that others might have received defective products but mine is going on strong after 8 months.Alarms are excellent and the radio reception is good.However,the CD quality is acceptable and for the price I paid this could be considered a bargain.

Don't waste your time on this one, you will just end up sending it back in a few weeks.
*First of all, you cannot fit anywhere near 2500 songs on this, unless you like your WMAs in the lowest grade format. This is even worse when you consider that you can pay only $70 dollars more for the Zen Touch and get EIGHT TIMES the storage.
*The navigation control is HORRIBLE. It's very temperamental and cheap feeling.
*If you're looking for an mp3 player to randomize all your songs, this DEFINITELY isn't the right one for you. It picks ONE way to randomize all your songs, and plays them that way forever.
I have yet to see how creative is going to handle my refund. They better be quick about it!

I must start by saying to the person who only gave this fantastic little gadget 1/5 they must not have contacted Creative on their website and asked them to deal with the problem.
I bought my Creative Neeon last summer and I am so pleased with my purchase. It came with no problems, and throughout the time I have had it, it has only crashed twice (like a computer crashing.) I contacted Creative through their website, and got a reply within 24 hours. They gave me an easy step by step guide to solve the problem and also told me to download the latest firmware for it (which is on their website) which you should do with any mp3 player to keep it up to date. It solved the problem. I would give Creative 5/5 for customer service.
I would also give my Creative Zen Neeon 5/5 for ease of use and sound quality and storage of music. The sound quality is amazing. I record on WMA (so I can store more tracks rather than mp3 mode), and to be honest I don't notice any difference in sound quality! You can also change the sound by selecting rock, pop, classical etc. It is quick and so easy to use.
I am so pleased with my little Creative Zen Neeon, and it's so dinky and light. I chose not to put any of the sticker accessories on the front of it as it looks better without them. The shiny piano black cover on the front and then the colour of your choice on the back, and then different screen colours (the zen micro's screen is just plain and boring!)
For me it was out of the Creative Zen Micro, the Apple IPOD, and the Creative Zen Neeon, and to be honest I'm don't regret my choice one bit....5/5!!
TOO SLOW TO USE.......2006-01-06
I was really looking forward to getting this player for Christmas, but after less than a week I returned it, it's way too slow to use, there are extremely long pauses between songs and it freezes constantly, not to mention the 1 navigation button on it has to be hit in just the right way or it doesn't work, the menus are a pain too because you can only browse songs by filename and you cannot make playlists on the fly, Creative really dropped the ball on this one

Pros:
- Good value (price/functionality)
- Small
- Great sound and battery life
- No batteries to change
- I like the scroll wheel better than a touch pad. It is easier to use, although the wheel is a bit cheap in quality.
- Simple to maneuver hierarchical menu.
- Radio station presets with autoscan feature. Radio doesn't get the best reception however.
- Microphone recorder if you need it (but I haven't).
- Looks much cooler than those wimpy white players. Colorful LCD display is great.
- Simple plug and play and drag and drop with WinXP. I didn't need to install any drivers or additional apps.
- Overall, solidly built.
Cons:
- Slow startup/shutdown of OS and some annoying lag between hitting play or next track and when the player actually does it.
- When USB is connected you can't play the radio (via USB cable). I like to keep the cable connected while at my desk so I can play tunes via the PC's browser, but if I want to switch to radio I have to unplug the USB cable and plug in the audio out line.
- You can't play a hierarchy of folders. You can only select a single song file at which point to begin to play the songs in numerically indexed order. 'Repeat' will repeat within the folder however.

I purchased for my son for our trip to disney. he loved it but after a few months it stopped working the cds would no longer play so we replaced it and the new one stopped working as well. I would not recommend this product to anyone it is over priced and you are just paying for the disney name. if you do purchase make sure you get a warranty because you will be bringing it back.

This camera is pretty much junk. For one I had to return it 6 TIMES! Granted the customer support was always helpful and always replaced it with no hassles but c'mon that just ain't right. For some reason it would just quit working all of a sudden. I'd turn it on and get nothing but a lil green light. That really sucked, especially since one time it did that, I had about 30 pictures from a trip I took to Florida and customer support said there was no way of retrieving the pictures. All those vacation pictures down the drain. Finally I did get a refurbished camera and they apparently fixed whatever problem was causing it to quit working for no reason, because I have had no problems with it not turning on since I got the refurbished. The problem I have now is that it used to hold about 32 pictures and now it can only hold 6! What the heck! Apparently the holding capacity of this camera steadily decreases with age. Now I pretty much just use this heap of junk for taking pictures of my fish cause i don't care if it gets dirty or wet. The pictures it does take are pretty low quality but they work OK for the internet since the images are 72DPI. I use the pics in my fishing website since I generally take outdoor pictures with it. Don't dare try to use it indoors, though, the picture quality drops about 80%. In conclusion I say, stay far, far away from this camera. Don't get it just because it's cheap. Save your money up until you can afford a good Nikon or something. And for the love of all that is Holy, at least get a 1 megapixel camera.

I got this camera as a wedding present a year ago. Trust me when I say that their year-warranty is just that. I turned on the camera the other day (had used it successfully two days earlier) all I got was a little green light. No display, nothing happened. Called support and they want a copy of the receipt before they'll fix it for free since I am right at a year. Well, it being a gift,I don't *have* a receipt. Grrr. I will not be paying ...to get this camera fixed. It's not worth it.
On the upside, if you keep good batteries in the camera, it works well. Things are a little bluish when the light is dim, and I have several pictures of my white dog that are just glaring but...most of the pictures I took with it turned out ok.
