DO NOT buy this "camera".......2007-08-10

This is the worst camera i've ever seen for many reasons:

1. This camera only works outdoors or in a cmpletely iluminated room.
2. The flash is very useless at night.
3. It consumes batterries extrmely fast (it uses AAA)
4. The still pictures quality is very bad.
5. The videos have awful sound and a extremely poor quality. They appear with those big pixel squares.

I don't recommend this camera for anyone. Not eve a 5 years-old kid will enjoy it.

I bought this camera for my son because I thought it had everything a child would want and I was right. My son spents tons of time with his little camera, I enjoy this camera too when I get bored I get my son's camera and listen to the music on the mp3. This camera is very nice and it is really cheap. the only bad thing is that it does not has a rechargable batterie on it but that does not matter if you buy some AAA rechargable batteries and a charger. I totally recomend this item to everyone who is interested on it.

My son loves the camera, the only thing I didn't realize that it takes AAA batteries. I know that there are some cameras similar to my sons that take AA. Other than that were good. Thank you.

WARNING: Do Not Buy! Terrible Video!.......2006-12-26

This camera/Mp3/camcorder/webcam/voice recorder is way to good to be true! I brought one because it was cute and looked perfect for mini movies. But I was sadly mistaken... This camera just takes cheap pictures and videos. The only thing that actully worked properly was the voice recorder that I had no need for. After about 3 days of trying to make it work a little better I gave up and sold it on eBay for the same price as I brought it for. It's a great idea... but it just isn't a good camera but if you want a voice recorder this is pretty nice. The Mp3 player isn't all that wonderful either. It doesn't work with iTunes. Or easy work with Windows. Hope this helps... I wish I would have read this before I brought this camera.

Hey, I Guess You Get What You Pay For . . ........2006-12-17

I no longer own my previous and much finer camcorder, so I finally found myself in the market for purchasing some kind of camcorder until I could get back on my feet to get another good one. I thought this one may do, good price, looks sharp, purchased on impulse . . .big NO-NO.

I will say the camera takes decent pictures (as the previous reviews state, almost exclusively outside in broad daylight or indoors with
very good lighting). Other than that, don't bother. The MP3 is a cute
function (and quite possibly the most practical). The video, UHH, let's
not even go there. The voice recorder, also not bad - records in WAV format and can be transferred to PC.

Jack of all trades, master of none . . .I guess that would be the best
way to finally describe this item. I will say that I'll be saving up now
for much better camcorder and no more "I just gotta have this right now"
Save your $, find a quality product - even if you have to pay a little more for it. Trust me, it will be overall better in the long run . . .

For a 17-inch display, the NEC AccuSync 70 is a stout little performer. While we were a little put off by the weak refresh rates at high resolutions, the AccuSync is an inexpensive and capable monitor for any small or home office.

At the recommended resolution of 1,024 x 768, the AccuSync 70 boasts a solid refresh rate of 87 Hz, sure to be pleasing to tired eyes. Its modest dimensions also conserve valuable desk space, and it has one of the skinniest footprints we've ever seen. At higher resolutions, the AccuSync 70's biggest flaw is apparent--weak refresh rates. Topping out at a maximum resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 at 66 Hz, screen flicker is apparent and irritating. This definitely isn't the monitor for power-users. However, for small or home offices, the AccuSync handles business apps, Internet browsing, and day-to-day use just fine.

Most amazing LCD monitor.......2004-08-27

I have 4 other LCD montitors on other computers (smaller 15" and 17" models from other manufacturers). This unit stands out far above the rest. Despite analog-only input, synchronization to signal is absolutely perfect - every dot is in perfect focus across the entire screen with no blurry or double-wide lines or text characters. I thought only DVI could offer such perfection. The trick is to use native resolution (1280x1024) and 60Hz refresh rate, then hit "AUTO" on the monitor once to allow it to sync everything up (a one-time set-up and those setting remain in the monitor's memory). Colors on this monitor are incredibly rich and vibrant. Color temperature settings allow images to be displayed with much more warmth than the traditional LCD "bluish" coloring. I recently tried to "upgrade" to a Samsung 213T. This proved to be a very bad decision. The Samsung appears slightly blury (even with DVI connection) and has faded colors and no way (that I could find) of achieving the warmer color temepratures that are available with the push of a button on the NEC. By comparison, images on the Samsung just look "washed out". Guess I'm selling the Samsung on eBay and sticking with the smaller, but vastly superior, NEC. Many clients who have come to my office and have seen images on this monitor have commented on how incredibly clear and brilliant the display is. This is definitely the one to get!! You'll be amazed!

Works great on a Mac too.......2005-05-26

I bought this drive today to give my Mirror Drive Door powermac dvd burning capability. I have a combo drive in the first bay set as the master and pretty easily followed the instructions to install the memorex drive. It worked first time, but I had to take a knife and trim very slightly the corners of the front of the tray (not hard with a sharp knife) so it could fit through the mac's case. OS X 10.4.1 recognizes the drive as a beefed up superdrive essentially and uses alt+eject as the keystroke to open and close it as well as adding a taskbar item. DVD+Rs (8x memorex) can write in about 6 minutes... I haven't tested any other formats.

Memorex doesn't list the drive as mac-compatible simply to avoid having to handle mac-specific tech problems, not because it doesn't work. any internal ide drive should work.

As for the bundled Nero software, that's the only coaster this drive has created thus far.

Beware of rated burn speeds.......2004-12-03

I bought the drive mainly because of the Nero software. Recently began using 8X DVD-R Memorex media but drive does not burn at 8X to DVD-R. Although box and booklet cover state it does, page seven in the instructions states only 4X on DVD-R media. It's very disingenuous of Memorex to call this drive a "True 8X."

Works for me.......2004-09-27

I needed to replace the DVD+RW that came with my HP 793. I have DVD-RW on other computers, so I am happy with a DVD+/-RW. I needed to change a jumper, but the directions were clear and the replaced drive confirmed the instructions, so that was no problem. The unit slid into the slot, XP Home recognized it and I was able to back up the computer on 2 DVD+RWs using BackUpMyPC. So far I have not used any of the software that came with the drive. No problems so far.

Avoid this unit........2004-09-02

I bought mine thinking "what a deal!" -- as usual, you get what you pay for. Mine installed flawlessly and looked sexy, but that is the only reason why I am giving it 1 star. I burned 8 "coasters" (both DVD-R and DVD+R) at various speeds (4x, 6x, 8x, 16x) but I was never able to record a single good disc. The bundled software (Nero) was either recording the discs without reporting problems (only to find out later that they had tons of errors on them), or it was simply stalling at some point, randomly (2%, 3%, 54%, 75%). I have a 5400rpm hard drive, 256Mb of RAM, and a 1Ghz processor. All my other applications were closed during the burning sessions. Excuse me, but that should be enough for a DVD burning process. If it's not, they haven't gotten it right yet... I took the drive back after 4 days of repeated, frustrating failures, and I spent the extra twenty bucks to get me a (roughly equivalent) Sony double-layer DVD burner, which apparently works a lot better (burned one DVD so far, tested it thoroughly afterwards -- no errors. Bravos Sony; Memorex please go back to the drawing board). Hope this helps.
