This full color multifunction is designed for home and small office use and features an inkjet printer with up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution (up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi optimized color) and print speeds of up to 17 ppm for black and up to 12 ppm for color (at lower resolutions).

An 8 MB memory is standard as well as a 20-page automatic document feeder. The paper input tray has an input capacity of up to 100 sheets, and supports a variety of paper types and sizes, including paper (plain, inkjet, photo), envelopes, transparencies, labels, cards, iron-on transfers, letter, legal, executive, and more.

The color scanner has a 36-bit color depth and a hardware resolution of up to 600 x 1,200 dpi, resulting in accurate, true-to-life scans perfect for a wide variety of applications. The included software bundle helps you to get the best prints and scans possible, and includes HP Director, HP Photo Gallery, HP Image Editor, and Readiris OCR.

Access features and common tasks through the easy-to-navigate HP Director software. Depending on the capabilities of your HP all-in-one, the HP Director lets you initiate device functions such as scanning, copying, faxing, or unloading images from a digital camera or memory card. The copier has print speeds of up to 17 ppm for black and up to 12 ppm for color, with resolutions as high as 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. You can make up to 100 copies at a time, saving you time and hassle, while a zoom function allows you to reduce or enlarge copies from 25% to 200%.

The fax machine is capable of full-color faxing and has a fast 3-second per page transmission time. A transmission memory of up to 100 pages lets submit large jobs, while a fax broadcast feature lets you send a single fax to 50 separate locations. The fax also features a junk fax barrier, remote retrieval, and auto-redial. The 4215 conveniently connects via USB and has a small 16.4-by-8-inch footprint. It is compatible with PC and Mac operating platforms.

Good machine for home use........2007-01-16

We replaced an old Xerox all-in-one machine because we could never find the ink that it required, and the print quality was marginal. This HP has a small footprint, and works fine for light home use. The scanner even does fairly well on photos, and the fax and copy mode works like a charm. One bug I found, if you unplug the unit, and put it back later, the software has a fatal error on our Windows 2000 operating system. HP has a download software upgrade to fix this, it was easy. We found that the ink cartridges are reasonable in price, but are small, it goes thru the ink when photo printing. This is a very nice all-in-one machine for a small price.

Why Buy a 6 year old NEC MobilePro?.......2007-06-08

I am a business executive and have been looking for the best way to take notes and have important data on hand for the many meetings I attend every day, and after 20 years the search has ended.

I recently bought and regretted the purchasing a tablet PC which takes 5 minutes too long to boot for note taking (NEC is instant on), a Pen that records your writing that made me realize I write about 10 time slower than I type and my writing is often unreadable, and a couple of nice PDAs with dinky thumb boards / touch screen entry keyboards, too small to be of practical use for fast writing, and lacking native / really readable versions of Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, and the ability to sych those documents from your desktop to the portable device like the NEC 790.

This thing is perfect for me. If you are a writer or a worker who needs to take notes and reference information during meetings, buy one now! If you want to play games and need all kinds of third party apps / media playing capabilities / surf the net wirelessly, get a newer PDA.

If only the NEC 790 had a few additional add ons (like a cool ebook reader and wireless internet connectivity), this would be a 5+ star purchase! But the full size key board in a book sized PDA is brilliant.

I hAVE MY NEC 790 FOR SOMETIME NOW AND HAVE FOUND IT TO BE A WONDERFUL TOOL FOR INVENTORY CONTROL, LETTER WRITING AND MUCH MORE. THE SCREEN IS GREAT AND THE PICTURE IS CLEAR. TRAVELING WITH IT HAS BEEN A RELIEF AND A GREAT SOURCE OF COMFORT. i DONT NEED ALL THE GARBAGE I USED HAVE TO CARRY WITH ME WHEN I HAD A SMALL HANDHELD WITH THE CRADLE AND I WOULD LOSE THINGS CONSTANTLY I WAS FOREVER IN COMP USA BUYING A NEW PLUG I LOST OR PROGRAM CARD IT WAS ALWAYS A NIGHTMARE. The Philips VG780052 Digital Voice Tracer is more than just a voice recorder. Its 4 MB of RAM can store any type of file--not simply voice recordings--and when plugged into a notebook computer's Type III PCMCIA slot, it is recognized as a 4 MB hard drive.

We can imagine a time when gadgets like the Philips VT780052 Digital Voice Tracer will be truly useful, but right now there are far superior and less expensive devices for capturing short voice recordings. The device is a PCMCIA card with a plastic case, built-in speaker and microphone, and controls on the front for making quick recordings. The Digital Voice Tracer is designed to be used with a notebook computer and works fairly well in that regard. Adding and removing files is straightforward, but unfortunately this device isn't the solution for people who need to transfer files from a notebook computer to a desktop PC, as most desktop systems don't have PCMCIA slots.

Philips is banking on the fact that people will use the Digital Voice Tracer to send their voice messages via e-mail attachments, but the technology is ill-suited for this purpose. This product records WAV files, which are notorious for their storage inefficiency. The designers tried to get around this by using more efficient 8,000 Hz, 4-bit mono WAV recordings, and it doesn't work well. Those settings require only 4 Kbps of memory for storage, but the sound quality is abysmal. Couple that with the device's tiny, weak speaker and it's nearly impossible to hear the recording without holding the device close to your ear, unless you happen to be in a room that is completely silent. Piping the sound through your PC's speakers helps, but does nothing to improve the sound quality.

The Digital Voice Tracer is useful in certain circumstances, but we feel its concept is ahead of its time. Until products with better sound quality and more memory are available, a standard minicassette recorder still is the best way to quickly capture your thoughts, and typing your e-mail still is the ideal way to communicate via a computer. --T. The digital voice tracer is a pretty cool device. It works well with my laptop, which I keep with me while I'm on the road. I can record stuff I would normally have to type into an email, and when I later sit down with my laptop, I add my voice (wave file) with the other information I need to send along in a an email. Neat idea.

Nikon Sport I .......2006-01-26

I ordered these binoculars on Friday and had them at my door on Wednesday. J and M was very good with shipping. The binoculars themselves are great. You cannot beat good Nikon glass, especially at this price. I already have a pair of the 10X that I have had for several years now. I plan to order more as they will be standard equipment on each of my ATV's for my customers to use.
