Good Pictures, Junky Camera.......2003-08-14

I find this camera to take adequate photos, but the camera is made of poor quality. It has scratches on it everywhere, and in under a year, the flash cover keeps falling off. It always gets me noticed, and I might have to buy a new one because I love the size and the shape. It goes everywhere with me, I just wish that the body was stronger.

We bought this camera for my 10 year old daughter at Christmas, and have been nothing but pleased with the quality of the pictures. We chose it for it's size and ease of use for a child with the use of only one hand. I've been known to grab it, though, for quick pics around the house!

We have compensated for the additional cost of developign APS film by only getting our pics developed at Sam's or Wal-Mart...

I purchased this camera for my husband who doesn't use a camera much. We ended up using this camera all the time, as I misplaced my 35MM camera. It takes great pictures for the price. Sometimes, I have noticed red eye (it is supposed to have red reduction) and some the pictures indoors are darker in the background than outside, but overall this ...camera has out performed itself in my opinion.
I highly recommend it.

A very neat impressive little camera........2002-09-29

On vacation in Saint Maarten, we passed a camers store on the main street in Phillipsburgh, we spotted Q1 in the window of the store, my wife had not idea what it was, neither did I, we went in took a look, we were fascinated by it, I have had Fuji cameras in the past, knew they were very good on prices an gave you a camera that was reliable and took great shots, we bought the Q1, put the digital away for the rest of trip and took wonderful shots with the it, very impressed, APS to me has never been know for giving decent shots, but, the Q1 does, delighted with it, can only recommed it highly, even if it only has an F8 lens, its a barrel of fun, am using it since the vacation, we really love this purple camera, buy it, you wont regret it, even if it looks more like a radio.

this camera is really cool, but the film it uses is that advanced photo system stuff, & it costs alot more to buy & develop, that's pretty much the only drawback to this camera

Great camera for kids.......2004-05-07

My daughter has wanted a camera since she was 2 years old. I bought her this camera (the pink flower edition) just before she turned 3. She loves it. The size is great for little hands. For the most part I don't need to adjust her fingers to keep them away from the lens.

She also has a Chicco Smile Camera. That was is very easy to use, and slightly cheaper since it uses regular 35mm film. However, given a choice she'll go for the Nexia every time. I know she's drawn to the design, but I think she likes the size of it too.

If you have your own little budding photographer let them give this camera a try. I don't think you'll go wrong.

got worse and worse.......2005-02-11

About a year ago, a black horizontal line showed up on the screen and never went away. Since then, more and more have shown up. Now I have 23 black lines going across the whole screen, each one pixel wide. The monitor has now begun to flicker randomly, so I've about had it with this thing. I emailed NEC and they basically said I could pay to have them try to fix it. There are a lot newer and better models out there, so don't bother with this piece of junk.

Excellent for owner, but don't let anyone else operate it.......2003-09-15

I bought this camera the first part of 1998. I have used it regularly for more than 5 years, and I have NEVER had any kind of problem with it. All the features work great and none of the parts have malfunctioned. The camera is great if you're the owner and you know how it works. However, my one qualm is that almost every time I have given the camera to someone else to take a photo of me, they have seriously screwed up the photo. Almost everyone is confused with the zoom and the actual "take the picture button." It seems obvious to me, but for the average random snapshot-taker, it's confusing. When red eye reduction is on, there is quite a bit of time between pushing the button and taking the picture. Time and time again I will hand off the camera, the person will push the button, and because it doesn't take immediately, they move the camera. I have so many blurry shots of half people and sides of rooms. As a result, I have become a huge fan of self timer photos. But you can't blame that on the camera.

Summary: This camera won't give you problems and will take beautiful pictures. But if you plan to hand it off so you can get photos of you, be careful who you hand it to, or avoid using the red eye reduction feature.

Red eye PRODUCTION.......2001-01-05

We bought this to snap photos around the house of our little girl. We couldn't have been more disappointed. The shots come out fuzzy and the red eye reduction DOESN'T work. After several attempts to contact Pentax through their customer service website they suggested a number of techniques, none of which worked. It doesn't matter what speed film you use, get this camera indoors and you'll be disappointed. In all fairness, the outside photos look OK, took a bunch of shots of European sites and have an occasional fuzzy long distance photo, but mostly accurate.

A very good camera. My previous one was the same. But unfortunately it is not water proof and on our visit to Niagara got wet and broke. I am buying this again. The lens cover is very useful. Very handy and takes great pictures.

This television provides incredible picture quality... I would say it is equivalent to computer monitors from 5 or so years ago in clarity. At it's best it is a preview of the future, when 12xx by 10xx resolutions will be the standard.

Great but too clear.......1999-09-03

The plasma TV pales to none. The only problem is that it is too clear at times. The blemished of the actors really show up. Here in Japan we have High Definition TV and the High Definition is fantastic on it. Everything looks so real. You might want to view further than about 3 meters or so. The size and the light can give you a headache if viewed too closly for too long. But, basically that is about the same as any TV. Great buy!

Great camera. After trying 5 other brands, this was the best. It isn't noted, but the camera also comes with a case and a battery. Zoom is very fast and retracts quickly. Flash is a bit slow, but given the other cameras on the market in terms of quality, speed of zoom (very important to me), small size, well-located viewfinder and easy to work/well located controls, a slightly slow flash is a trade-off I am willing to make. Like cars, there is nothing out there right now that is going to give you the whole perfect package - this camera is by far the best out there!

This camera was very easy to learn how to use. I have never had pictures come out this clear and prestine. I highly recommend this camera for anyone who is not a professional photographer but wants professional quality. I love that this camera is small and will fit anywhere. It looks great too! I don't, however, recommend this camera for action shots. Too much of a delay.

Bad Product.......2004-12-04

I had seen this mouse in local stores; good appearance and the buttons had a good feel, but only available in PS 2 and my computer has no PS 2 port. I am running WIN XP on a Dell notebook. This is one of the worst products I have ever seen.
1. This product only has a PS 2 plug, no USB option.
2. I tried it my another computer that has a PS 2 port.
3. There are several gross spelling errors, indicating hurried production (launch = lanuch).
4. The pointer jumps all over the screen without any relation to the movement of the mouse.
