I bought this camera over a year ago for my young son when he went to camp. My thought was, it is the same price as 2 disposible cameras and developing. I was very impressed that even with a young user it has held up better than my $$$ camera. I would recomend this camera to anyone who is just starting out with digital, or looses things.

I had bought this camera from Amazon and i had to return it back, the camera takes very poor images, the images are aslo dark. there is no LCD to capture images. I was not satisfied with the image qulity at all.

I bought this late last year before other reviews indicated the overheating problem. The unit works great but frequently runs hot and shuts down... often at the most inconvenient times. There are too many other options than to choose one that apparently has an inherent reliability issue.

I expected better than this from Netgear.
The switch runs at 1GB and speed switches from 100/1GB just fine, but it does run very hot and tends to shut itself down. That being said, it does not appear to be disruptive on the network. I've had my pc complain of a disconnected cable (which was really the switch shutting off) and a data transfer to the server never stopped. A power cycle fixed it, but I may return it still. It would probably be well suited to a network where it's not on all of the time. Don't expect to add it to the switch stack or bury it in the wiring closet unless you have a cooling fan on it.

I found that this switch gets pretty hot, and turns it self off every couple days, after working fine for a couple months. If I unplug it, let it cool, and then plug it back in, it works for a couple more days. I have not tried netgear support yet to return it, or otherwise troubleshoot.

Easy set up, works great!.......2007-05-13

If you already have a firewall on your modem and just need to connect more computers to your modem, this is a better solution than using a router. I just plugged all my wires into it, restarted my modem and it worked immediately with no problems. I've had it hooked up for a few weeks and there hasn't been any glitches.

The only thing I didn't like is that there are no holes or brackets for mounting it. For some reason the manufacturer made it so it has to sit on a desk or shelf. However, they did design the case well so it looks nice. Its just that you have to have all your cables running to this thing sitting on your desk.

Aged, but still the best........2007-04-24

I own two of these fine GamePad's (not the USB version). I have had them for many years - first generation. Got them in '96. They still work great with my gameport. I daisy-chain them together without issues on WinXP Pro. I mostly use them for n64 game emulations and/or other action/adventure games. My kids love them also - better then the controllers that you can get with console gaming machines that are available today. The only drawback I can see is that when the time comes for me to upgrade my PC to more powerful technology, I will not be able to use these awesome GamePads because motherboards are beginning to drop support for the gameports. Overall, I am very satisfied with the SideWinder GamePad. 5 Stars!!!

Best Gamepad, 10 years running!.......2006-02-07

This gamepad is amazing. I got it for my birthday when I was 10 or 11, and I loved it then. I am now 20 years old, and I still use it a few times a week to play emulated games on my PC. Just plug and XP detects it in a flash. I bought one on eBay for my girlfriend and we chain them up, you can have multiple gampads into one port, just by plugging them in together.
I will use this gamepad forever; and from the looks of it, it might last that long.

Simplicity is key for some controllers, and the sidewinder is something I've kept with me for almost a decade now. Reliable (as 9+ years of use can attest to) and amazingly lightweight and comfortable, there has never been a reason for me to do away with this controller. I am amazed that for everything I've upgraded and improved over my gaming life, this controller nevert loses its luster. If you want the best feeling contoller available, find this wherever you can.

ive had both serial and usb versions and both have worked great and they are durable. lol i have a temper and ive broken half a dozen or more controllers but these take a beating and keep ticking. (though i eventually win)

I put this in my computers gameport I have windows 98 and I went to the control panel and it was on the list so I clicked it than it said "not connected." I tried going to add new hardware it just didn't work.
