HP Omnibook XE3.......2007-07-30
Computer runs well, except the version of Windows is Windows XP Professional. I do not need the professional version of XP, I did want XP instead of Vista. However, I expected the copy of Windows to at least be recognized by Microsoft. Apparently, the seller uses the same copy of Windows over and over again on the computers they sell, and don't have a bulk use license. Microsoft, therefore says it's a counterfeited copy of Windows. I can still use it, but I no longer receive many Windows Updates. I am considering wiping out this version of Windows and putting Linux on it.
Also, battery life is short, only about 30-40 minutes before I have to plug in the power adapter.

This is a great computer for anyone who is not a pc game fanatic (like me). I have an additional external hard drive to remedy this problem. The DVD player will not play newer movies all the way through without an upgrade (which is no longer availible) but that is what windows media player is for. The processor speed is super fast. I have yet to feel the difference between it and 1 GB or more. I love this computer though! It is my favorite (and most useful) pet! ^_^

This little camera is not for the "professional" videographer or photographer, but it's fantastic for the casual user. We use it to send digital photos, and short movie clips of our children to their grandparents on the east and west coasts. It's easy to use, and it's compact size makes it easy to take along. We upgraded the memory to 256MB for ~$80. That allows us about 40mins of video, or about 2000 photos. This is a great entry-level purchase to capture those rare moments with ease. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to be able to take a photo or short video of an event, then stick the camera in their pocket and join in!

You will be sorry if you buy this TV. We loved it at first-great deal, great picture. One month out of warrantee the picture started getting jumbled. It happened once in a while. It is now getting progressively worse. Last night the picture went out 3 times in 3 hours. We approached Norcent right away when the problem started. They said they could not (and would not) help us since it was out of warrantee. They do not have any authorized repair centers either.
There is obviously something wrong with this product since there are so many complaints online. Norcent does not support their products and I will never buy from them again.
If anyone found a solution to this issue please post it!!
Bad tv.......2007-05-14
To make a long story short,this is a BAD tv.had to ship back to the factory for repair at my expense.All i know to do with it is to let my grandson play with it by taking it apart.Do not buy a norcent product.

I bought this TV last February. For those of you who don't want to read this review in its entirety...just DON'T THROW AWAY THE BOX! Now where was I, oh yeah, like those who reviewed the unit earlier I too was very impressed with its initial performance. I foolishly threw away the box within a couple of weeks. I mean LCD TV is a proven technology right? Not a good idea. After about 8 months the picture started turning green. First intermittently and then it would remain green all the time. It was like all of the darker parts of the picture were being replaced by a dark green. The picture also got grainy like a computer monitor switched to 256 colors. I contacted Norcent customer service. I had to be very proactive and had to keep pinging them to keep them "responsive". In order to obtain warranty service the unit had to be shipped back to CA (I live in MD) at my expense and if damaged in route, Norcent will refuse to accept it. Many of the shippers I queried were either ridiculously high or not willing to take on the risk at all. Fortunately I was able to find a reputable shipper that would ship the unit for only $100 (paid extra to get the insurance coverage and special care) and fortunately it didn't get damaged in route. The unit was returned to me well within their guaranteed 4-week response time. The original warranty expired last month and there is no warranty on repairs. So-far-so-good after three weeks. Picture quality is now excellent. Hopefully this was just a glitch that surfaced early in the production run and is now resolved...
Turns Green .......2007-02-12
This set was great when I first bought it but several months later it began to turn green like a couple other people posted. I don't know what is wrong but the image turns green/red for several minutes. Then it might turn back or just stay that way. Very annoying problem so if you want to avoid annoyance further down the road I'd recommend avoiding this set and going with something more dependable. I might just chuck mine in the trash and forget this mistake of a TV.
Picture keeps going green.......2007-01-11
I have to agree that I loved the unit at first, but now wish that I had bought a "brand name". I had to ship back the remote because it stopped working. It took them almost a month to get me a new one. They would not even cross ship one to me. It was a BIG bother because there are STILL no universal remote codes. None of my remotes would work on this tv. My remote is acting up again and I dread having to try and ship it back. Also, my tv has been going green, and not the good "eco-friendly" way either. I can be watching a movie and them the black bars start turning green. Soon the whole screen is distorted. Kind like setting your pc to 16 colors and then looking at a picture. I have to turn it off and then back on. Most of the times it works. I don't know how I am going to ship this monster back to California.
