Expensive, but worth it..........2007-08-17

I recently bought a refurbished IBM R31 ThinkPad Notebook, and the battery inside was on it's last leg. It couldn't hold a charge for longer than 42 minutes, and I was planning on taking it with me on a trip, so I had to buy a new battery for it and fast!
Finding a replacement battery wasn't easy, namely because I wanted to get a battery that matched the Model numbers on the battery I already had, (02K6822/02K6823) and since it warned right on the back of the battery that using the wrong battery could result in fire of explosion!
After alot of searching, I found this battery, and in the product details it said it would work with a 02K6822 model battery type.
This battery works great, and I haven't had any problems with it so far!

PROS: Compadible with all ThinkPad battery types!
A great replacement battery for your IBM ThinkPad R30/R31!
Longer life than the standard ThinkPad Battery!

CONS: ThinkPad runs slighty hotter with this battery installed.
Battery fits more snuggly into the ThinkPad than your standard battery, so it doesn't lock into place as securely as the standard one does...

Overall: A good replacement battery for your IBM ThinkPad.
The longer battery life results in less charges and longer useage, great for business or surfing the web.
Although the battery is expenisive, the longer battery life and peace of mind make it worth the price.

Poor design, and no support.......2006-02-07

Optoma rushed this product to market and, for what it is, it is ok. Two VERY important points. According to all of the pros I've spoken with, Optoma has very poor customer service. In my experience, they have lived up to that. If you try to go to their website fvor ANY info, or support on this item, it's as if it never existed. My theory is that they are embarrassed... Which brings me to point two.
This projector may be "HDTV compatible" (technically), it does NOT have HDCP (Hi-Def Copy Protection) technology. Simply put, if you try to connect this to any HD cable box, or DVD player, it won't work. The standard has been adopted by almost everyone, but Optoma rushed this product to market without it, so the HD component of this projector is pretty much useless.
Oh, and you COULD try hooking it up to any of the aforementioned HD sources with component video cables.... that is, if this projector had them.
This thing is worth about $500, at best. I would recomend that soemone buy pretty much ANY brand except Optoma, as they only seem to care about you until they make the sale.

This player worked for a few months. During that time period it sounded good but the controls were a bit cumbersome to deal with. Correct drivers were a hassle to obtain.
The player no longer will turn on for no apparent reason. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Best $35 ever spent!.......2005-10-24

I purchased the EV64AMX from CompUSA originally for my wife for Christmas 2004. However, not really a music fan like I am, and not caring about MP3s, we traded stuff with each other for it, and I ended up with it. Now, my model is the 64 MB unit, but it isn't really TOO MUCH of an issue, due to the addition of a 32 MB card I "borrowed" from my office. The main use I have for this player is in my work van to play through the stereo by way of a cassette-tape adapter. And, other than using batteries quite often, I have had NO major issues with this unit in a mobile environment. The output form the headphone jack is in the order of 50 mA, which is perfect to drive the Ford Windstar stereo. The EQ settings are OK...I keep my unit in Jazz for the crisper trebles...and it sounds excellent.

I have the software setup on both my laptop and my Athlon at home...so "Podcasting" is easy and convenient.

Overall...I love it....I love the size, the fact that it uses ONE (!!!) AA Battery, the display, and the durability.

I own two of them and they work very well; I would give it 4 stars;

Be careful on their promising rates.......2002-09-24

I have bought this device in a pair and hoped to use for international calls. First of all, it wouldn't work when I tried to connect between the device internationally. I called them and learnt that the network is not proper setup for this. Second, I tried call from abroad to US, which they promised in many website that it same low rate everywhere in the world like you call from PC to phone in US. Instead I got $0.039 a minute as listed from net2phone website, I was charged with $0.10 a minute. I called them but they refuse to adjust the rate by simply saying that the rate is different when I used jap jack device. I tried to speak to their supervisor since they seem to need the decision from him. But they didn't allow me to and promised to call me back within 24 hours instead. After 24 hours, I called them again but they disappear for a while and come back in the phone by bad excuse that the request has been backup. Since that time, I haven't been contact back from so called supervisor.
So Please be careful on the rate they promise. (the rate printed in the manual is even lowe, which is $0.029 but they refuse to do anything on this).

i GOT THE YAP JACK FOR CHRISTMAS AND WONDER WHY EVERYONE DOES NOT OWN ONE. FOR 4CENTS A MINUTE I CAN CALL FROM JAMAICA TO THE USA. FROM YAP JACK TO YAP JACK ALL CALLS ARE FREE.THIS IS TOTALLY AMAZING. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE. GREAT CLARITY AND NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. FABULOUS PRODUCT THAT SHULD BE MORE READILY AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE.

This is an incredible product. I gave this product to my 65 year old mother who lives outside the US. She has cut her long distance phone calls by over 90%!! . The phone lines where the yap jack is connected gets good connect speeds when connected to a regular ISP (typically 49,333) hence The quality of the voice calls are excellent at this rate. At 8 PM a night when everyone is connected to the ISP, there is a slight echo, but the audio is never worse than a cell phone call .

This product is only as good as your connection to your local ISP. If you get lousy connect speeds and slow internet responses (*ie slow "PING" responses) with your computer/modem setup then you may be fustrated with this product. The other thing to watch for is the long distance rates. I am not using the Yap Jack as much (Dec 2001) since AT&T is selling long distance calling cards (Typically found at your local SAMS club/Costcos) that have better per minute charges that Yap (to some countries).
