After trying everything we could and spending an additional 162 dollars for ink we will throw this new machine away. I would give it to someone but I think it would be such a disservice that I would lose friends instead of helping. Hewlett Packard used to make good printers. This is the third and final junk printer and the worst even Hewlett Packard has perpetrated on us yet.

We have a new policy at our company. If it says Hewlett Packard the answer is no.

Best printer investment I have made........2001-03-29

One year and 40,000 printed documents later this printer still works as well as it day it arrived. I use the 2500 as my network printer as well as producing full color documents, flyers, posters, etc. My particular printer broke down the second week of operation due to a design flaw in a cam which pumped the ink jets. HP was aware of the design flaw and replaced the part within 24hrs and I haven't had one problem since. I still have other printers within my network which include other HP and Epson ink jets and have really come to appreciate the larger ink jet cartridges. The 2500 (as well as all 2000 series) use much larger ink jet cartridges which actually cost less than smaller Epson and HP cartridges. I haven't done a study, but I would suspect I may have paid for this printer already in per page cost (even after replacing the print heads three times). If you are looking for a high speed ink jet that can handle heavy volumes of printing you can't go wrong with the HP 2500.

Very Good Printer.......2000-10-31

Excellent print quality and very good print speed. However, the PCL 3 driver that comes standard with the printer is slow and error prone. We added the PCL 5 driver card and 32 MB of memory to get good performance out of the machine. We also added the Post Script card - but unless you absolutely have to have Post Script don't bother as it is also slow. If the machine had come with the PCL 5 card and more memory it would have been 5-stars.

Wide-format wonder..........2000-03-08

I bought this model in April 1999. Almost a year later, I am still VERY pleased with the performance. I publish a weekly color newsletter, and print it on the 2500C, over 600 pages printed a week. It is a virtual workhorse! Downtime has been almost non-existant (one service call in a year, with the repair completed the day after I called for service!) The printing is crisp, the color beautiful, the best you can get from an inkjet. Ink cartidges are not all-in-one, so you only replace the color you need. I would recommend the 2500C to anyone. Two bugs: 1. The bottom tray frequently mis-feeds on the first copy of a print job. You have to pull out the bottom paper tray, remove the mis-fed sheet, then replace the tray. After that, the remainder of the job will print trouble-free. 2. On occasion, something wacks out with the tray selection. You will select which tray you want to print from via the print screen, but the printer does not obey. Only way to fix this is to turn the printer off and then on again to re-initialize.

The Palm V connected organizer is the popular and sleek PDA that some claim has changed their lives. The Palm V's standard software is basically the same as that of the Palm III series (Palm III, IIIx, IIIe, and IIIxe), but the physical unit is significantly enhanced. At only 4.7 by 3.2 inches, the Palm V's elegant anodized-aluminum case is far smaller and lighter than that of the Palm III series and Palm VII organizers, and at 0.4 inches thick, it's truly pocket-sized; however, the Palm V lacks the Palm VII's Palm.Net feature. (Palm.Net is a wireless communication service for Internet messaging and Web-clipping--a feature that permits you to shop on the Internet and retrieve e-mail, news, sports, flight information, weather reports, and so on.) The Palm V also looks supercool, an intangible value, to be sure, but one that's hard to argue with.

The Palm V shares the same improvements to its screen that were made to the Palm IIIx. The screen is very sharp and has contrast-variable backlighting, which makes the Palm V easy to use in low-light conditions. Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which charge while the unit sits in its HotSync cradle, make battery life a nonissue. (The Palm III series uses alkaline batteries.)

We had no trouble setting up the Palm V, synching it with our PC-based Netscape e-mail, using the Graffiti character-recognition software, or working with the Address Book, Date Book, Memo Writer, To-Do List, and all the other applications that put the Palm OS on the map. The Palm V comes with 2 MB of nonexpandable memory, a tradeoff to its slim design. While less than ideal, the memory limitation doesn't seem to be significant in practice--3Com rates the unit for 6,000 addresses, five years' worth of appointments, 1,500 to-dos and memos, and 200 e-mails.

All in all, this is a great and fun-to-use member of the family of organizers that has become the most popular in the world. If this is your first Palm, it's a great way to start.

I HAD Franklin Covey software. No more.

All told, I lost 24 hours trying to find data/contact knowledgeable tech support reps. Franklin Covey finally agreed upon a $150 voucher for all my trouble.

Hot syncs: create too many appointment repeats, for no seeming or predictable reason. (3 on one day? All-year repeats that were supposed to be one week?)

How do Palm and Franklin Covey work together? Not well. Palm offers so much that you cannot access via FC.

I've been so pleased since I figured out, with not much help from Franklin Covey, how to transfer all my Franklin Covey data to just plain old Palm. Please beware.

Franklin Planner Software - Beware.......1999-10-29

Franklin Planner Software: I consider the Franklin Planner Software worthless, it was time consuming not time saving. It is unable to printout calendars and other information in a useful format and there are many syncing problems. I switched to Outlook 2000 after 3 frustrating months.

It is to bad that a really great product from 3Com sold by a really great company like Amazon has been teamed with such worthless software.

Only used a few times before started not working. Keeps saying reinsert tape. If I take the battery off for a few minuets it works some times but never know when or for how long!

No Manual White Balance.......2006-03-28

This Camcorder is useless. Has alot of extras but when working on a video for my AV class I when to set up the white balance and found that it's auto. When compared to one with manual WB this camera sucks. Pictures are all different colors from blue to yellow. Manual WB is a basic standard on all camera and camcorder so why was it left off this one? I would give or suggest this camcorder to any one, I'd look for another, just in case you plan on editing your color don't change from shot to shot. This is a worthless camcorder.

Very Impressive.......2005-04-11

I have had this camcorder since October of '04, and I have only complained about one thing: not being able to hook it up to a computer through USB. Other than that, this is a very cool li'l camera that shoots good quality images. I shot video at a party for a music video with it once, and am currently using it to make a film I wrote. This is a very handy camcoreder indded, and I would recommend it to just anyone who wants to capture some fun times. I only recommend that you buy lots of tapes--it's just fun to waste tape on recording random crap sometimes!

Perfect choice for something easy to use.......2005-03-23

After toying with the idead of getting a camcorder, I recently bought this Sony camcorder about a week ago. Out of all the ones I've researched this one seemed to be the easiest to use. I've never used a camcorder before and I was able to use this without looking through the manual. Every feature on the camcorder is clear as day to use. If you are just looking for something simply to use that has features that ANYONE can operate, this is the camera for you.
