Better than most internal antennas.......2003-08-25

I mounted this antenna in the attic for convenience sake because I did not want to deal with external issues like mounting it to the roof, grounding it, visual detractions. Reception depends on where you situate the unit, as that changed based on location and even whether you tilted it on its side, but it is improved. I suspect that external mounting would further improve things. I had to replace one of the crimp connectors as it fell off during installation. That is something to watch out for.

Great for recieving Local Broadcasting.......2001-10-19

I'm not a techno person but I have used amplified indoor, wirey outdoor antennas and satellite/cable.
First installed the TV3000 as an indoor antenna. Recieved better reception then any other indoor powered or outeside wirey antenna. Then installed it outside on a 5feet pole in the ground. The channels clear and recieved more channels. But it is now 15feet above the roof and I am now recieving all the channels that the area has.
If there are large objects between you and the broadcasting station. There is not much you can do, but get cable or satellite dish.

Not Satisfied completely.......2000-08-01

I bought the Tv3000 from a computer swapmeet. I got a good price, but the results are varied. I cannot get all of the channels to come in clear. I followed instructions, but due to my setup, I could not do some of the things they instructed me to do. I live near the ocean....does that have anything to do with it? Any tips to get better reception on some channels? The manual said that if this happens, I am either living in a bad location, did not follow the manual. I must live in a bad location....

The greatest antenna ever........2000-01-08

I was on the development team for this particular product, and in my un-biased opinion I think it is possibly the greatest recieving device ever. I am sure that I don't appreciate the poor rating this item has recieved, and have decided to take it personally. I think you'll find that if you adjust the variable attenuation dial on the device you will get better reception than you can possibly imagine in your wildest dreams. While developing this device, I was so dedicated to it's completion, and mastery of the antenna world, that my wife left me, and took the children. I overcame this obstacle as it was so obviously a clever ploy by the competition to distract me from my most important work to date. I am sure that if you simply read the instructions furnished with this product, you will be more than satisfied with it's high quality. Even though I no longer work for this company, a minor disagreement, I want to see this product succeed. Disregaurd the other reviews that were obviously writen by the competition. But you already saw that didn't you?

Good monitor, questionable software.......2002-05-19

The 201B monitor has a sharp display. I run it at 1600x1200 with small fonts and all the print is easily readable. It has a standard 15 pin D-sub and BNC connectors so you can hook two computers to it and switch back and forth with a front panel selector switch.

One disappointing item: the monitor has a USB connector and software to let you adjust it with a PC program. The software loaded from the supplied CD but refused to work on my Win2k PC. I found out from Philips custumer support that the USB adjust feature only works with Win95 or Win98. It doesn't say that on the box or in the manual. Its hard to imagine why Philips would add an expensive feature to a product but then only support it on an obsolete OS. Most users will have to use the normal front panel buttons for adjustments.

Space-Saving 21"!.......2001-06-12

This 21" monitor is a real space saver. I prefer the tube type monitors and did not want to go to an LCD. Most 19" & 21" monitors would take up too much space on my desk. This one is more compact and has a nice picture quality. Pretty reasonable price too.

Although this is a cheepie, this little recorder went an astonishingly long way with me. Too bad it is discontinued. I recommend this recorder if it ever comes on the market again. I have gone through many recorders, and most only last a few weeks. This one made it two years of near daily use, lots of banging around, and the general chaos of academic life. Panasonic needs to reintroduce this lil one, since mine FINALLY went kaplooey and I need a new'n bad.

Outstanding Cassette Recorder.......2002-05-06

Just like with most of Panasonic products, the RQL-50 mini cassette recorder is outstanding. Great sound quality, attractive design and simple use are worth the price I paid through Amazon.com. It comes equiped with two DC2.4V NiCad rechargeable batteries and an AC adaptor/charger. I have been using it for about four months for recording interviews with no problems. This is the second RQL-50 that I have owned. It is compact and light weight and highly recommend it. The Amazon.com price is hard to beat.

Best for your money........2002-04-06

I just bought this today and used it to record my own music. The sound is impressive, and before today I'd been using some Sony model my mom paid 40 bucks for, and it wasn't that good. Features a counter, voice activation option (and within this option there are 2 sound choices!), earphone jack, mic jack (the mic jack is IMPORTANT. although the sound on this recorder is better than most, you'll want a microphone. I HIGHLY recommend a Jensen Clip-on mic. They run from 8 to 12 bucks. They are small but they sound incredible.) This seems pretty sturdy, and so far it hasn't broken.

I've been using a micro cassette recorder for years, and after trying three different brands, I finally grew tired of the poor sound quality. Moving to a regular cassette size has really made all the difference in that department.

This unit is easy to use, and is a very basic model. No big bells and whistles here....but it definitely gets the job done. So much so....that i'm baaaaack....purchasing another one for my sister! I like this recorder MUCHO!!!!
