I've had mine for almost a year and use it with KeyPass to carry my passwords(encrypted, of course) everywhere I go. I wore out the first cover, but have 2 left.
My only annoyance is the keychain, as the drive always falls off it. I just keep the thing in my pocket but I'm worried it will get lost in the wash. It hasn't yet, but I back it up to my network often.

I used this little guy last semester in Ecuador, and it was a lifesaver. Since I didn't have a computer, I had to write my papers in labs and internet cafes, and this USB drive was perfect for keeping my work with me at all times. Its small size allowed me to wear it on a necklace under my clothes to protect against theft.
A lot of other students used floppy disks, but the floppy disk drives in the internet cafes and even at the university would often ruin the disks forcing people to re-do their work.
Since returning to the states, I've used it mostly to share files between laptops and such while doing group work, carry install programs (web browser, AIM, etc), or to bring powerpoint presentations to class.
It comes with a keychain clip and a neckchain, three color covers (the USB plug swivels in and out of this cover) in blue, orange, and black, and a USB extension cable, presumably for connecting it to ports at the back of a desktop, that lights up bright blue when you plug it in (the USB drive itself also has an activity light unrelated to the ones in the cable).
Overall, a great product. Tiny, well styled, and easy to use.

What's your data worth? If it's not much you probably don't need to carry it with you. If it's actually valuable, then this drive is not for you.
I had the 512 MB version of this drive and loved it for the first couple of months. Then the problems surfaced. The housing and keyring attachment on this drive are so flimsy you'll get maybe 3 months use before it falls apart. If you're lucky you'll notice as soon as it happens. If not, you'll just notice that the drive has fallen out of the housing somewhere, or else the housing has separated from your keychain.
I'd recommend getting something more solid.

I bought this one on a whim one day and it has been one of the best computer electronic purchases I have ever made. I attend graduate school online and when I am traveling, I am forced to upload my class work via any available computer. I am able to do my work on my XP Laptop and upload my work to any other Windows computer but the really nice thing is that I am able to use Macs as well. There is not a hassle or requirement for reformating. Each system recognizes the mini as soon as I plug it in. It has saved me much time and many headaches. I should also mention that it doesn't take up more than one USB port due to its slim size like some do and that is a great advantage as well.

I got the mini drive to use for school work. The mini drive is extremely easy and way faster than burning a CD. You just plug it in and drag files. 128mb was almost always enough space for everything I needed. The only thing I didn't like is the key chain part that attatches to the cap. It was handy at first, but it quickly broke off.

I bought the Iomega 128 MB USB Drive last fall and really loved it...until I put it on my key chain and lost it when I sent the car through the car wash. The design is such that the cap secures to the key chain, but then the port (where all the files are) just snaps into the cap. So, if someone gets a hold of your keys or key chain, they can yank the port away from the cap and leave the keys hanging there in the car with the cap attached but no files! Everyone can recognize these mini drives now and know what they are so they are easy to STEAL right out from under you. And, at $50-100 per purchase, it's not so easy to run out and buy another. If you get do get a mini drive (and they are very handy) just keep it locked up, in a purse or pocket...not hanging from your key chain or from a backpack...it might get snagged. Perhaps in the future a better design would help solve this issue.

Cracking due to Poor design.......2004-09-19
I've had two of these and both crack and break at the same place. There's a "bow-tie" sort of clip. The plast casing that holds on to the bow-tie cracks and breaks. The cover then falls off too easily. Otherwise, a good product. Just poor product design.

This was my first mini drive. Since I have 2.0 USB ports and WinXP, I went shopping for a USB 2.0 drive. I bought and returned 2 Lexar Jumpdrive Pro 2.0 and a SanDisk Cruzer Mini.
Their performance was awful under WinXP Service Pack 1 (SP1). In all cases the Iomega performed my benchmark of receiving a 44MB directory in appx. 1 min. 30 secs, while the allegedly faster 2.0 models I tested required 3-5 mins.+. I am attributing this to a flaw in WinXP SP1 (and not my machine) since I repeated the benchmark on a Best Buy demo computer with the same level of WinXP and again the Mini Drive beat the Lexar hands down.
I then downloaded the Win98 driver from Iomega's site for my 5 year old Dell (installed very very cleanly) and this time the 2.0 device timings improved dramatically to about 1 min. 30 secs., but the Iomega also improved to 1 min. 10 secs.
Since I'm not yet sure what is causing the 2.0 drives to deteriorate under WinXP, I am sure that the Iomega USB 1.1 Mini Drive runs at very acceptable levels under WinXP with 2.0 ports and under Win98 with USB 1.1 ports.
In other words, in today's Windows software environment, the Iomega Mini Drive runs acceptably fast, is consistent across Windows platforms, and is just ... well, a safe purchase if you want this type of device.
Worthy of mention is that the physical construction of the Iomega was far and away the best. It's size is smaller than most others I've seen, and it is flat enough to fit in a USB port alongside a USB cable attached device, without encroaching.
The case has good ergonomics designed into it, besides being a very professional looking, handsome, gray (like today's computer chasses). The end cap is large, bears a shirt pocket clip, and fits securely. The non business end of the drive has an attachment with a keyring which, if nothing else, will make it more difficult to lose, and it also lends to its appearance.
Iomega is a good company with a useful web site and acceptable technical support. I can't come close to saying this about the pathetic SanDisk site and the slightly less anemic Lexar site. There are also some free downloads available for the device which I haven't explored yet, but do take a look and see if they interest you.
So ... if you want this type of device, value performance, stylish looks, quality construction, and good vendor support, all at a reasonable price, consider this one. Can't vouch for the 256MB model since I didn't try it, but I do wish I had the extra capacity. You can basically leave it installed all the time and have the convenience of fairly adequate removeable storage for backing up frequently changing data, in my case a web site I'm actively maintaining, my Eudora mailboxes, and Excel spreadsheets.
From sketchy information on the Internet, it appears that Iomega will be introducing 2.0 versions of this device. Several vendors like HP have been advertising them but are all out of stock. If I can iron out the nagging XP performance issue, I will be buying 2 of the 256KB 2.0 models. They will probably fly and I trust Iomega will ensure that happens.
Good luck with your purchasing decision. You will likely find that this device is a "keeper", as I have.

My work teams travels a lot and frequently transfers large files, so I asked our IT department to get each of the members a USB drive. They selected Iomega. The drives have been a great success. They have all worked reliably, and endured a lot of jostling in briefcases. As the review above states, the cap is very sound and stays on well. I've been using mine for about six months now and it has not gotten loose. I highly recommend these drives.
One word of warning for travelers: I've gotten stopped going through airport security with this drive in my briefcase a few times, and the screeners frequently have no clue what this little device is. Fortunately, they've never tried to confiscate it.

I have used this device repeatedly with my iBook Mac running OSX 10.2.4, a WindowsXP desktop and multiple Windows NT machines at work and at conferences. It is truly a delight to use and I have not had any problems whatsoever.
I must say that I did look at a few other flash drives and I thought this one had one of the better 'locking' mechanisms. The cover has not come off in my pocket inspite of some hard use (and constant opening and closing of the cap too!).
Highly recommended.

Easy One-touch VHS to DVD+R/RW Recording.......2007-01-16
I purchased this product specifically to record VHS tapes to DVDs (although it is possible to record DVDs to VHS tapes as well) in one unit without having to use a several components (a TV or monitor IS REQUIRED to be connected either by supplied coaxial or RCA cables so that the on-screen menus can be read and their options selected). This unit is one of very few that I found which would perform the VCR-to-DVD recording function with "one-touch" recording.
NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH THE RV4000 READS MOST TYPES OF CD AND DVD DISKS, IT CAN WRITE ONLY TO DVD+R AND DVD+RW DISKS. Although I had read some reports of difficulties using DVD+R or DVD+RW disks rated for speeds exceeding 4X, I used 1-16X Maxell DVD+Rs without any problems.
The recording process can be executed entirely with pushbuttons on the unit itself. All you have to do is select the source (VHS), press the one-touch recording button (VHS to DVD), select the speed at which the tape was originally recorded (HQ, SP, EP, SLP), then press the one-touch button again. Recording proceeds unattended and will stop when the tape stops. It is also possible to select parts of one tape or mix tapes onto one DVD.
When the recording is finished, an on-screen Disk Edit Menu is can be displayed to perform (optionally) such tasks as writing a Disk Name and Titles of selections. IF YOU WANT THE RESULTING DVD TO BE PLAYABLE ON ANY DVD MACHINE, YOU MUST USE THIS MENU TO "FINALIZE" THE DVD.
The unit has many other recording options to VHS and DVD from a television or cable signal, but I did not use the unit for these or test them. The options appeared to be quite extensive, however.
It appears that Cinevision was bought out by GoVideo, so the contact information on some Cinevision boxes may be obsolete. FAQs (though no contact information) are available at www[...] in the Support section. The lack of current support is the only reason that I have rated this unit **** instead of *****.

Just like the last 3 Sony controllers I bought, this one sucks. As soon as I plugged it in, and turned on the game, the person I was trying to control starting moving backwards at a pretty fast clip. When I got it to stop moving backwards, he starting moving to the right just as fast. It was impossible to control him. I have since purchased a controller from Alienware, and it works perfect. Sony sucks. They have lost all interest in quality control. They are going on their name alone. I have 2 sons who have exactly the same problem with thier Sony controllers. I was going to send it back, but I just figured it would be a hassle, so I threw it away. Forget Sony if you want anything with high quality. I am not someone who abuses the game counsels or any thing that has to do with them. I am 61 years old and have been playing video games for a looooooong time. And my sons are 32 years old and 41 years old. They are not abusive little kids.

This system is WAY too expensive. I considered buying one until i actually heard it.
There is NO BASS!!! So you have to buy a subwoofer if you want good sound from it.
If you add it up(400 for the stereo, 300 for a decent subwoofer) 700 BUCKS!

If Apple designed a mini-system this would be it. It's a well constructed unit and it's funky appearance looks better in person than it does in the pictures. What they don't show is an external black box amplifier so this is really a four piece system. Might as well call it a five piece system because you're probably going to want to buy a powered subwoofer. The overall sound quality is quite good despite the lack of bass. It plays discs of MP3 well with minimal seek time (no id3 info though). The controls are also minimal with some, like the dim function almost useless. The small display is so bright, even when turned off, that I have to throw a t-shirt over it to sleep.
