for the money this is great! I agree with the other reviews about getting to the volume...but not that big of a problem when you get use to it. I was really happy to see it arrive with all the accessories. This is a great gift idea for kids/teens that want their first MP3 player. The leather case looks cool but no clip, and no way to turn player off/on when in the case. You can however reach the pause/play feature when in the case. Nonetheless I give it FOUR STARS for an awesome bargain. and it sounds great too!

The JoyBe MP3 player is about portability (hang it on your neck) and ease of use. It holds 32 tracks, which is enough for the length of my workouts! With Windows XP, you just use Microsoft Explorer to transfer files. You need to set up file order by naming convention in Explore. Then scroll through files on the Joy Be. Titles show up on the screen. The USB connection is integrated into the unit -- no extra cords necessary -- just like a memory stick. The menu is simple, the "reset" works, the unit seems rugged enough to last as long as its battery.
Lowlights: There is no charge level indicator, volume is 2nd level menu, the USB connector is probably the mechanical weak spot of the unit. The earphones are not comfortable for me, but sound OK. I do wish for more storage, but plan to wear this player out first!

i think that i'm the first person ever in the world to review this player... i looked everywhere for a review to see if i should buy this thing or not, but couldn't find any... so i went for it anyways... it's a nice small player, and worth it for the price, there's only one really big thing that you people might find small, but, there's no clip or anything for when you run... it's like you made a leather case for the thing, can't you add a little clip? it's not that hard... secondly, you have to go into the menu to access the volume and the hold function, which is weird... and the headphones they give with it, are actually pretty nice... pretty good sound... it looks really nice too, i just really wish there was a clip man... now i gotta hold it in my hand when i run, which sucks... oh well...

I received my (Orange) BenQ 125/256MB MP3 Player as a (2004) Christmas gift. Not only does it look expensive, it sounds GREAT! I love the USB/AC travel charger that was included. Plus, the fact that I can fully re-charge the player from my computer's USB port in a short time. No need to purchase batteries anymore. The charge last up to 10 hours of playing time. The Q-music software included isn't needed if your OS is Windows XP, which mine is. I use Window's Media Player 10. The process of transfering music is really simple. With the 256MB, I can load approx. 60 songs, depending on the lengths of these songs. You can transfer downloaded music from the internet or rip music from your CD's into the player. The earbuds are comfortable and the stereo sound of music you hear from them is absolutely out of this world! It's like hearing every instrument and every vocal tone in surround sound, just from those two earpieces. I'm so serious, I can't say enough good things about this MP3 player. Your music will stream it's title while playing and there's a blue back light, that you can press that allows you to see in the dark. Okay, a negative... the radio reception isn't that great, it's like I have to stand still to keep a good reception. Because the antenna is a part of the earphone device. However, the voice recorder is great. Also, another great accessory that comes along with this player is the black leather case and the neck strap, which is great when working out at the gym, or just walking around the mall and etc. Let's see... did I forget anything else? I have had this mp3 player for over a year now. The Navigation is a litttle difficult with one hand, so it can't be used with one. It comes with a leather wrap around for the unit, a necklace,a charger, a electionic PDF manual, and a hard-copy quick-start guide. and some good-sounding earbuds.It serves me well and has a good battery life. Mine has orange aluminum on the outside. The battery lasts quite long (over 9 hours, i think). The recording functions aren't cyrstal clear, but for such a power miser unit, it is pretty good. I wish now that i had snagged the 256 MB version because mine is getting small. Tiger Direct elminates the USB extention cord. This means that you will have to plug it straight into the computer and may have to crawl around to the back of your computer. Two things that are a little off from the manual: the battery life indicator is buried under the "settings menu" when you are in any mode EXECPT for FM radio, instead of showing the battery life after the song name like the manual says. The charger's LED only glows two colors:red for charging and green for done charging. It doesn't glow yellow for the last hour of charging. The charger will work overseas (100V-240V and includes the USA prongs and the two round prongs with a shape like
________
<________> for the mounting base of the prongs on the charger.) The unit will also run off the charger and not use it's battery when you switch the charging switch to off. The Computer's USB plug will also charge/power the unit. the charge switch is handy for extending the battery's Overall life charging cycle. The battery is a Li-ion 300mA, which should not be charged only partailly then used. IT needs to be charged all the way, or else the battery's charging cycles will dimish.

I just got mine in the mail last week, and I gotta say I love it. This is my first Mp3 player, but I am not new to electronics and computers.
Quality is grade A and the styling is pretty cool too. I was pleasantly surprised at the volume and sound quality. After listening to punk rock for the last 20 years or so, I need it loud...and this does the job. I only need to crank the volume up to 3/4's.
I've taken it running twice, and over the weekend I wore it for 8 hours straight while doing yardwork and building a fence in the back yard. I wish it had a belt clip of some kind, but I just tuck into my belt, and it stays put. It never faltered and still hadn't died when I put it on the charger.
The case for it is very convinient and helps protect it from scratches and such.
Over all I'm quite happy. I'd definitely buy their stuff again.
Small and usefull.......2004-09-07
As a college student I use the mp3 player for my foreign language classes, the usb drive for my class photos, the radio for radio (npr) and it just works. It isn't the easiest thing to learn but after a day I could fiddle with it still in my pocket. The radio can be staticy but moving it a foot or two usually fixes it. The repeat section function is very usefull. The 256 mb is just barely big enough for what I need. It feels solidly built and is pretty darn small. They should have given one of these to each Duke student instead of the iPods. Sorting mp3's can be a hassle but is fixable. It isn't completly intuative but it is the swiss-army knife of this new century.

When my joybee came I was very excited and thought it looked very slick and neat. Well the thing stopped working the same day I got it. The usb wire never worked in the first place and the player itself broke a bit later. This is from carrying it in my pocket for 4 hours btw, not even playing it. Not running, not jogging, walking in a store with loose fitting jeans. I'm hoping for everybody else I just got a dud but I'm not taking any chances.
While it did work it was decent, not the best but decent.
I'm now in the process of trying to get my money back. I don't even want another product by this company. I just want my money back so I can buy a player that won't break.

I like this player a lot.
Size - This MP3 player is very compact and lightweight.
Look - The brush aluminum look makes it very modern and stylish.
Built-in USB Plug - This is a saver if you plan to use it as USB flash drive. It will save you to bring along or buy an extra USB cable. And since it is retractable, it doesn't make the player any larger when it is not needed.
Rechargeable battery - This is one of best feature that I like the most. I don't need to worry about buying batteries. Addition to the AC adapter, it also allows me to recharge the battery by plugging it in to the computer's USB port.
Earphone - The material of earphone that came with this player is only so so. It has a very plastic feeling. But the sound quality that it puts out is not too bad.
Radio - The receiver is not very strong. I constantly getting weak signal and have to point the device to different position to get a better signal. But it is still better than the other players.
MP3 - It plays MP3 and WMA. The sound quality is very good. It is definitely above average. It also puts out nice bass.

Great little gadget.......2004-06-15
I got my Joybee several days ago. I really love it. I had read many reviews here and on other websites and many of them were saying to get a different set of headphones for it. So I did that
I got a set of the Sennheiser MX500 and a set of Koss (the Plug)and ordered a set of panasonic but they were out of stock. so I could make a comparison my self. Well here is what I found. The player has plenty of power and I found that the set of earphones that come with the Joybee sound way better than any of the other ones. Just got the sennheiser ones in today and they do not have near the bass capability as the ones the come with the Joybee. Except for the color they look identical in construction, but the joybee earphones sound much better. When I first got them I thought they sounded tiny and cheap and I was using the Koss plugs and they kicked butt especially on the bass end. then I was fiddling around with the stock earbuds and putting them in the ears different ways. And Holly smokes I put them in sideways and they really kicked. Put them in sideways with the little stem towards the back of the ear and sticking out horizontally. the earbud disk itself is in a vertical position with the face of the transducer facing straight forward then stick them in and they hold quite well and sound great. I did not use any cushions with it. Quite comfortable. But other people ears may have varying results. this set has deep bass that rivals a big sub-woofer, and i have to run it at about 8 on the volume scale of 10. So if you consider getting any other earbuds for this unit you wont do any better unless you go to the higher priced models and I have not tested any of them.
As far as the Joybee itself I am real happy with it. It does what I bought it for to play mp3 files. And it does that very well. I cant see much room for improvement in the sound quality and volume.

This is a pretty handy mp3 player .... it plays wav,mp3 formats I did not test it with any other format.... it is pretty slick it can directly be plugged into a USB port my XP recognized it right away as a network drive and then all you have to do is drag and drop mp3 files into it. The USB port is retractable very easily you can just slide it in. It has an option to charge itself when inserted into a USB port( in addition you also have a charger )...it doubles as a storage device as you can carry around non mp3 files in it. The Sound quality was great it has all the bass, treble etc options ...FM reception is good and you can record your FM songs into the device as wav files ... The charger supports 110~220V and comes with American and European plug adapters... The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the menus ... it is very cumbersome to navigate around ... you have to go through multiple steps to switch between diff modes ... If all you want is that this device play mp3 files (btw skipping to diff mp3 files is pretty easy) and act as a handy storage device this is for you ....In addition it has a voice recorder that I did not test as I would be rarely using that feature... I am planning on getting the Joybee 150 I may return this ..

This TV has a very clear bright picture, which makes the image appear larger than the modest 13" screen size. Perfect for a small space like an office or dorm room. The back is very well set up, and there is a nifty cable wire included which means you don't have to bend your cable into an awkward position just to hook it up.
The sound is much better than my Sony CRT 13" flat screen, and the software that allow you to change picture and image is very user friendly.
This is a perfect TV for small spaces!

Another winner from the Sharp company. The picture really is amazing and the remote control is very easy to use. I put the unit in the Kitchen and now find myself watching more television standing up than sitting in my living room BECASUE THE PICTURE IS THAT GOOD. I am going to purchase another one and put in my garage/work area. The price is well worth it. I am thinking of getting a larger screen size to replace my main t.v...I think Sharp is a winner and so will you if you decide to buy this unit.
