Great Inkjets But Watch the Seller...target pc.......2006-08-17

This is my second review on this seller and his products. The first one had to do with a Lexmark printer that I purchased (see Review) and now the good deal on the 16/26 dual pack cartridges. I was looking for inkjets and wanted the 16/26, because you get a lot more printed pages per cartridge. So, when I saw the price at targetpc, I thought, what a deal, The problem,I wasn't sent the 16/26 cartridges, I received the 17/27. These are the cartridges that are included with the printer you purchase, except when I purchased my printer from this same seller the 17/27 cartridges had been removed. So when this purchase arrived and they were not what I thought I had ordered,I went back to the site of the dual pack 16/26 and there it is the compatible 17/27. They are compatible with the Lexmark printer, but they are not comparable with the 16/26. The page printing count is about 1/3 of the 16/26. So, I have finally learned my lesson and I am here to say that I have put this seller on my permanent (do not buy from this seller list). It is my fault for not noticing it was the same seller I had purchased my printer from and also for not reading all the lines of text, but if you are looking for a pair of pink sandals, size 8 and up pops a site with the size, color and style you are looking for and a seller is there on that site saying yes we have them at a great price and they are compatible to the size 8, BUT they are size 5. This seller has no business popping up on a site for a size 8 if they don't have a size 8. And I am sorry, but they are not compatible. I have learned no matter what the picture shows or what the reveiwers write, read what the seller is actually selling, because your size 8 feet won't fit in the size 5 pink sandals. I do admit that things can be missed. I said it was possible that I had missed the detail of the inkjets being removed in my review of the printer. The seller and I went back and forth on that, but I think the bottom line is a feeling of being fooled. I have purchased a lot of things on Amazon and I have written reveiws on several of them, but this is the only seller, that has made me feel foolish. Frustrated but I finally get it.-Catherine

Poof goes the TV.......2007-01-15

Like other reviewers, my TV also went poof after having it about 4 years (guess I should consider myself lucky in getting a bit more time than others). Repair looks to be $700 plus to replace a power switch. I'm very disappointed in this Sony; obviously a poor design. I'm in the market for another TV, not sure it will be a Sony.

Love the TV screen and box design. Problem, as w/ another reviewer, is the screen went blank. Purchased in Jan of 2003 and last week, after a mere 3 yrs, sparks flew fr the back and 2 pops were heard. The screen went blank and either the TV is worthless,considering what you can now get for $1k plus, or I'm in for a near $1k repair. Sony should be ashamed that one of their high end products has such a short shelf life. Yes, I called Sony and they referred me to an authorized repair person.

Super TV, even after 2 years........2005-03-11

This one is a real winner. Has all kinds of inputs. The picture quality lives up true to the Sony tradition. Crips stunning images with tons of picture and audio quality settings.

I even connected my laptop to this TV. Pictures are sharp and crisp. The built-in tuner is a good advantage as well.

Problem TV.......2004-12-28

I purchased this plasma TV 18 mths ago for approx $4500, in addition to a wall bracket for $250. Two months ago there was a loud 'pop' and the picture went out. Sony customer service advised me to take it to their service center in San Diego. I did so and was charged $700 for a new power system. I was informed by the technician that it is a common problem. I wrote a letter to Sony but was informed that the warranty expires after one year. Could not recommend this model.

Disappointed at Year 2.......2004-12-28

I bought this tv almost 2 years ago and paid almost 5000 for it. Today I am planning to spend 1000 more to replace a screen part because 2 weeks ago I began to get only a white screen when ever I turned the tv on. Who would believe that such a tv would only last 2 years with no maintenance required. I used the repair section on sony.com and selected a repair service in the area. The repair person who came to look at my set did not seem surprised about the problem. Therefore I would be cautious about the purchase of another plasma.
