If you run a home network in your house you should definetly be using the Linksys-WRT54GL, and if you are using that then you should probably be using this Wireless-G card. Works great!
Can't Keep Signal.......2007-08-23
I just bought a 3G Compaq computer with a pentium4 processor. It came with Vista Home on it. First off, the adapter instuctions tell you to go to the Linksys website to download the driver for Vista. If I could do that, then I wouldn't need an adapter! I tried to download the vista driver to a CD on another computer and then load that CD on to my computer. I tried for 4 days and never did figure out how to do it. I finally paid $88.00 to have it done. The card now works for a few minutes and then I'm told that my computer has no network. My son's computer has another brand of card in it and it never has a problem. I've invested too much time and money to put up with this crraap.
Wireless PCI adapter.......2007-07-27
I bought this for my new desktop computer that I just moved from my upstair den to downstair bedroom. In order not to pull the cable around the house, I add this to the desktop to work wirelessly.
The installation is a easy snap, and it takes no time to get it going. I do noticed the small slowdown on the speed, specially when I play on-line games. For the tradeoff, I can live with it.

I'm happy about this buy, but i have to say that the installation program that comes in the CD-ROM, trows a problem, sometimes it doesnt install the program correctly, and then you have to do it again. I Buy 2 of them, and in both computers i've installed them, it gets me the same problem...
Horrible........2007-06-19
I should have known better. After having problems with the Linksys wireless G router for over a year, I was stupid enough to purchase another Linksys product... the Wireless-G PCI adapter. Why did I do this? Because it was cheaper than the other routers. Why did I take it back to the store two weeks later? Because it was a piece of junk that never worked right.
We have a desktop computer in the same room as a laptop computer. The laptop connected to our wireless network just fine, and it reliably maintained the connection all day long. The desktop with the brand new Linksys PCI card connected to the network sporadically at best, and sometimes couldn't even detect the network. There were occasionas that went on literally for hours when we couldn't connect to the internet for more than a few seconds at a time. Save your time and your money and invest in one of the many better options that are available. And avoid Linksys like the plague.

Disappointing.......2007-09-10
I've had a lot of experience with Linksys products over the last few years and I have always been incredibly disappointed. This product was no different. It did work beautifully out of the box, which was a perk. I had a functional internet connection within 5-10 minutes of popping open my PC. However, after about 1 month of use, it literally just stopped working (no changes in software or hardware during this time). Tech support seemed oblivious to the problem ... Google "wmp54g stops working" and you get 805 hits (as of today at least) all describing the same problem: it works great, then stops working.
On a more positive note, tech support, at least via live chat, was very helpful and had me run a gamut of tests and configurations, all of which ultimately failed. Honestly, I'll never buy another Linksys product because of this failed product and about half a dozen other negative experiences I have had with the company failing to battle test their hardware and firmware. I've personally had very good luck with all netgear products I have purchased. However, I have not had any experience with the newest Range NEXT routers/adapters and thus can't recommend them.

Easy One-touch VHS to DVD+R/RW Recording.......2007-01-16
I purchased this product specifically to record VHS tapes to DVDs (although it is possible to record DVDs to VHS tapes as well) in one unit without having to use a several components (a TV or monitor IS REQUIRED to be connected either by supplied coaxial or RCA cables so that the on-screen menus can be read and their options selected). This unit is one of very few that I found which would perform the VCR-to-DVD recording function with "one-touch" recording.
NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH THE RV4000 READS MOST TYPES OF CD AND DVD DISKS, IT CAN WRITE ONLY TO DVD+R AND DVD+RW DISKS. Although I had read some reports of difficulties using DVD+R or DVD+RW disks rated for speeds exceeding 4X, I used 1-16X Maxell DVD+Rs without any problems.
The recording process can be executed entirely with pushbuttons on the unit itself. All you have to do is select the source (VHS), press the one-touch recording button (VHS to DVD), select the speed at which the tape was originally recorded (HQ, SP, EP, SLP), then press the one-touch button again. Recording proceeds unattended and will stop when the tape stops. It is also possible to select parts of one tape or mix tapes onto one DVD.
When the recording is finished, an on-screen Disk Edit Menu is can be displayed to perform (optionally) such tasks as writing a Disk Name and Titles of selections. IF YOU WANT THE RESULTING DVD TO BE PLAYABLE ON ANY DVD MACHINE, YOU MUST USE THIS MENU TO "FINALIZE" THE DVD.
The unit has many other recording options to VHS and DVD from a television or cable signal, but I did not use the unit for these or test them. The options appeared to be quite extensive, however.
It appears that Cinevision was bought out by GoVideo, so the contact information on some Cinevision boxes may be obsolete. FAQs (though no contact information) are available at www[...] in the Support section. The lack of current support is the only reason that I have rated this unit **** instead of *****.

streaks on and off then after about a month

Excelent memory for a sony digital camera..........2005-01-13
At first I was worried about this memory cause many people recomended the original Sony or Lexar. But the
Sandisk 256MB Ultra II Memory Stick Pro performs just as good as original Sony or Lexar.
I can record video with my Sony Cybershot DSC-P73 at 640*480 with fine (max resolution) with no problems or stops (only 3 minutes cause movies get too big).
This memory rules...Sandisk as always delivers great stuff....

I finally bought this item cause an offer for memory stick in $54 ended :'(
This was an excellent choice cause is Memory Stick PRO, you don't have to switch!!!, (it isn't a 128 x 2 like others - be careful with this offers)
Its speed and performance are very good. I only have to install a patch for my clie NX and inmediately MS Pro was recognized.
I recommend this product to anyone who wants a cheap solution for MS storage.
